This property is lovely, elegant, and comfortable. The owner is very kind and communicative. I stayed there alone and felt safe. I was extremely happy there and hope it will be available next time I visit San Francisco.

Wonderful weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. We had my son's rehearsal dinner - a fully stocked kitchen etc. Jim made me feel like a guest or friend in his home. I can't thank him enough!

Wonderful place with Japanese feel

What an amazing house we stayed at! Jim our host, was simply terrific. Extremely detailed in his assistance which was great as first timers to San Francisco, so important. Jim’s home displays his obvious love for Japan. The views of the city from the outside patio were fantastic. If you walk to mission district for some coffee or bite to eat/ cocktail, be prepared to face some steep hills but hey, it’s San Francisco! Thank you Jim!

Noe Valley Stay

Simply loved staying at this Noe Valley gem! The views of the City were spectacular. The home was well appointed and extremely comfortable. Both beds were very comfortable and getting to and from San Francisco was easy. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful place, incredible views

This is a really beautiful place, with incredible views, meticulously maintained, and in a really nice neighborhood. To top it off, the library, the furnishings and the art tell a fascinating life story that travels through Japan, South America and Europe. I’d love to chat with Jim about that narrative next time that I come by.

Fantastic host, wonderful neighborhood

We had a great time in James' gorgeous house in Noe Valley -- the location is perfect, and the available parking space a plus. James was a perfect host, very accommodating and great communication. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous and serene Noe Valley get-away

This property is exceptional in every way: a lovely home appointed with understated but very special art work, spacious and welcoming with a private outdoor seating area from which one can enjoy a hilltop vista, a quiet corner of a beloved SF neighborhood--just lovely and hospitable in every way. Our host communicated in a timely and helpful way, and we enjoyed the thoughtful provision of basic (but high-quality) amenities in the kitchen and bath. We would happily visit this exceptional home again! A special place!

Spacious apartment conveniently located in Noe Valley

We loved the apartment, two sitting rooms, lovely dining room with deck & comfy bedrooms. Beautifully decorated, fully equipped with electronics & kitchen. Jim is an outstanding host. We especially appreciated the pantry items he supplied.

Wonderful Experience!

Do not hesitate to book this home. We enjoyed the comfort of the different living areas, views, back deck, modern kitchen with everything you would need, fabulous shower and comfortable beds with luxury bedding. Great neighborhood that is quiet and very safe with easy parking. Close to good restaurants, cool neighborhood shops and easy access to public transportation. Jim was an incredible host!

FANTASTIC

This property is large, clean, single level, and easy to do telework out of while others in your party can cook, dine, read, play games in the spacious interior of this well appointed home. There is one dedicated parking space, and plenty of on street parking.

A beautiful San Francisco oasis

Such a beautiful home! So many wonderful things to say about this place. The views are amazing, not just from one room but all of the rooms. The house is very clean and super cozy. We spent six nights and wish we could have stayed longer. It’s in a great neighborhood and public transportation is very convenient but if you have a car, there’s even a parking spot! Jim, our host, was gracious. We will come again for sure.

Like it was my own home in Noe Valley!

This is one of those rare short-term rentals that feels like a home, not a stale executive stay owned by a mega-corporation! Every decorative detail, books on the shelves, down to a lovingly-set out bread for the guests reminded us that this is actually someone's home! Which made it feel that much more like our own! Jim was an amazing and thoughtful host. The place was gorgeous with amazing views and walkable to all sorts of great Noe Valley shops. Highly recommend!

I had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful VRBO property! The house is beautifully furnished with a warm, stylish touch, and every single room is bathed in natural light, making it feel so welcoming and peaceful. One of the highlights was the stunning view of the bay from the TV room. The location couldn't have been better — nestled in a quiet, serene street, yet just a few blocks away from lively 24th Street with its charming cafés, stores, and a Whole Foods for anything you might need. It offered the perfect balance between tranquility and convenience. And I can't say enough good things about Jim, the host. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and responsive, making sure every detail of my stay was perfect. His hospitality truly made this experience unforgettable. I genuinely loved the stay and plan to go back whenever I visit San Francisco again. Highly, highly recommend!

exceeded expectations!

The views from every window! The art! The furnishings! The location! This house is an absolute gem. Perfect size for a couple and a singleton. Walking distance to restaurants, bakeries, quaint shops, a post office and even a laundromat! The host Jim is gracious and friendly. My flight was delayed and my daughter got caught in traffic so we both arrived much later than anticipated, stressed and tired. Providing a code for the front door made check-in so easy for two separate arrivals, and we were able to relax and feel at home immediately on arrival. A very good value for three people, 7 nights. The cherry on top? A PARKING SPOT!!!!! It's all the little things in addition to the major ones that makes this an A++ place to stay.

Tasteful, Comfortable, aesthetically engaging

First impressions mean a lot. We were impressed with the intriguing artworks; bookshelves full of books ranging in topic from math to art and literature; intriguing collections of ceramics and basketry; eclectic and comfortable furnishings; updated kitchen and bath. We enjoyed spending time here with our family and small dog. It was comfortable, with very well stocked kitchen and bath. Great light, quiet, safe neighborhood, nice views, strong wifi. Comfortable bed, great water pressure and good hot water in the shower; large kitchen, dining area, and living spaces. We liked the double living areas: good for conversations and watching television. This home is very spacious. We spent a lot of time at the dining room table catching up with our family who lives nearby. We loved our stay here! Our year old puppy had a fun time at nearby dog parks, on long neighborhood walks, and playing with her toys. She was wiped out at the end of the day! The only concern I have about the neighborhood is that is is hilly. This may present a problem for someone who expects to walk a lot but isn't prepared to walk hills. You can't walk to the commercial parts of Noe Valley without having to navigate hills. "Quintessential city home"is an accurate description of the woodworking, flooring, layout, windows, and outdoor space. This unit doesn't offer outdoor yard access, but it isn't needed. The parking area is a real plus! We hope to visit again!
