We had a great time at Snails Pace. It truly feels like a little home away from home. The host is so responsive and friendly. The house is well stocked and the location is great. You have the beach pretty much to yourself and can see the stars so clearly at night. It really is a forgotten paradise. We will absolutely be back!

We loved our stay here! The owner was super responsive and informative. The kitchen was maybe the best stocked VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. Definitely will be back!

Everything was perfect about this house and location. To start out with the host was excellent with communication, House was very clean and well equipped with everything you would need at a home away from home. Being dog friendly was a huge bonus, the whole family loved the beach only being a few steps away. We also enjoyed being in more of a remote location and almost felt like having a private beach. Then days that we wanted to go to more crowded beaches we took a drive to Carrabelle one day and one day to St. George Island but then it was nice to come back to the more remote beach location. The home featured an outdoor shower, which was nice to clean off all the sand before going back in the house as well as had a nice screened in area below the home to enjoy the beautiful scenery without being annoyed by insects. Watching sunrises on the large deck was incredible. Would highly recommend this location and plan on staying here again.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SnailsPace. The house had everything we needed and the beach is just steps away. Our dogs loved it, too. We spent the late afternoons, laying around in the screened in lounge area then back to the deck for the beautiful sunsets. The beds and pillows were so comfy I missed the sunrises. We will be back, for sure!!

The house is very comfortable and had everything you would need. Nice big kitchen table and a great kitchen. Wonderful sunrises and the beach is right there. We saw 85 species of birds in the area and Bobcats and deer nearby. Bald Point State Park is just up the road a few blocks and St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge is close. We enjoyed our 2 weeks!

The kitchen was fully equipped and stocked with coffees, spices, garbage bags, paper towels, dish soap etc. It was wonderful not feeling compelled to run to the store immediately for basics, exceptional....

Overall the house was great. Perfect size for our family of three. The host was very nice and helpful. We were delighted to meet him. The overall cleanliness of the house could have been a bit better seeing as the bathrooms were quite dirty and the floors were coated in pollen. Sometimes small details just get missed sometimes so we understood. The view and convenient location was really the selling point. Lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery. The whole family had a blast. We’ll definitely be recommending Snails Pace to family and friends.

We had a very nice time at the Snail's Pace! It is a very peaceful and quiet area with direct beach access and the Bold Point State Park beach just a couple of minutes' drive from the house. The house was clean and welcoming. It had everything needed for a beach vacation. There were beach umbrellas, towels, chairs, and a big box full of beach toys for kids. There was a small grill outside and an outside shower, which we found very convenient. The dining area has a beautiful view of the Gulf. There were two porches: the upstairs one with the same view as the dining room and the downstairs one, which is screened in. The owners organized the house very well and thought of all the essentials for a great beach vacation. Kevin (the host) was very responsive and welcoming, and he made sure that the house and the beach treated us well :) One piece of advice: there are rocks on the beach next to the house that you cannot see during the high tide. Be careful in the water. We had a 3-year-old son, so we chose to go to the Bold Point State Park Beach for swimming. But we had a great time playing and walking on the beach that was next to the house. It felt so relaxing! Thank you, Barbara and Kevin, for your hospitality!

The house was everything you need to have a peaceful, fulfilling, restorative stay. The ocean is only a 45 second walk away beautiful trees surround the property. We enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning from the beach next to the house and watching the sunset every evening over the bay and through the pine trees, while mullet jumped and plovers peeped and dolphins gracefully swam at Bald Point. A wonderful place to rest and return to yourself and find peace.

When we arrived there was construction happening in front of the property (building a house directly in front of this one). Unfortunately it was blocking the unobstructed ocean view that was advertised. The construction was going to take place during the entire time of our stay. I contacted the host Kevin to let him know of the construction and that we would prefer to move to a different property since it was not as advertised and the noise would be an issue. . He was very understanding and we worked out to stay a couple days until after the holiday weekend so to be able to move to another property. He offered a refund for the days we would be leaving and even allowed for a late checkout to check into the new property. He was an awesome host and very accommodating for the unfortunate timing of the construction . Unfortunately VRBO didn't offer a refund on the taxes and fees (they only offered a small vrbo credit) so I ended up paying an extra few hundred dollars to move locations. Overall given that neither us, nor the host, knew about the construction we worked it out the best we could. Kevin was one of the best hosts to deal with. Wish the house construction wasn't taking place and we could have stayed the entire week.

Excellent stay

We were looking for a trip to fully unplug & relax and we found it! The hosts were very welcoming and genuinely want their guests to have a great time. The kitchen has everything you might need and then some. We would definitely consider staying again.

Wonderful fully stocked kitchen and living spaces, everything we needed was there. Very beach cottage vibe to decorations. Nice variety of options for enjoying the beach atmosphere - upper deck, lower deck and screened lanai under the house. This was a perfect vacation place for relaxing when not enjoying the attractions and restaurants in the nearby areas. We found ourselves awake every morning to enjoy the sunrise.

Great Getaway

Great beach house, well appointed and thoughtfully designed for a relaxing getaway. A nice place to land after a day at the beach or exploring the Point at the State park at the end of the road.
