Our family has been here twice now, both times have been great. This place feels like home and the host is very sweet and attentive. Not one problem have we had, aside from not wanting to leave this place. We plan to come back again.

This was my third trip to this property. As usual we enjoyed it very much. Probably was clean and properly stocked. Excellent swimming pool.

Lovely property

Great spot to stay for families. Wonderful proximity to both Garner and Lost Maples. The property is extremely scenic. Will likely visit again.

Very spacious,clean, everything you needed for several days was on site. The pool is beautiful, the canopy kept us all day at the pool. Plenty of tables and seating while we bar b Que.

Everything was comfortable and perfect for a relaxing weekend. The family enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. We also enjoyed the family history displayed inside the home.

Family Vacation

Great place with plenty to experience. Close to the Frio and Nueces River for tube floating. The pool, hottub and interesting artifacts are really neat. Our large family love it and will definitely book again!!

Our favorite place so far!

We’ve been vacationing at the Frio for years now, and this was our favorite place to stay by far! We love that it’s off the beaten path, and honestly, we only left to go to the river once the entire stay. The hiking trail was fun and perfect for taking the kids on. The entire place was just so beautiful and relaxing! We’ll definitely be back!

Perfectly located close to Garner State Park. Easily accommodated our family of 13. We loved the history of the home. The night sky view was incredible! Lots of room to spread out for our family. Kitchen well equipped. Beds comfortable. We hope to visit this property again next year.

Vacation 2023

Our stay at Bluebird Hill was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay and all of the nature around us. So many beautiful birds all around the house. The pool was amazing as well. We definitely will be back.

Our Stay at the Blue Bird house

We had an amazing stay! We were there celebrating my Bachelorette party! I used to go to Garner with my family every summer as a kid and this place brought back so many memories, and we got to make so many new ones! My only note, they do not provide any shampoo, conditioner, towels, hand soap and only two trash bags, but other than that we had a 10/10 time and would stay again!!

So glad you enjoyed your stay at Bluebird Hill & Star Suite. And thank you for respecting our property & leaving it in great condition even though you were celebrating. Our list of what to bring explained what was supplied & what was not, sorry if you did not understand this. Summer is a busy time with guests sometimes arriving the same day that guests depart. With a large home like this it is difficult to supply towels & toiletries for 11 to 20 people. Also, we have to conserve water during this long drought, it's all we can do to wash all the bed linens. Thanks for your understanding.

Peaceful Getaway

The house was awesome, plenty of room for 12 adults. Would be a nice getaway for a family gathering. Nice yard. I seen quite a few hummingbirds (my favorite). The house was easy to find, paved roads and not too far from town. I would definitely stay there again.

Awesome place for family

Loved the house and property! Soooo much room !! The house is really big and has everything you need. LeAnne is a sweetheart and a pleasure to talk to. We also loved the location. So close to Garner 😍😍 This will definitely be our first choice next time we go to the Frio !!

Totally relaxing vacation

Our family arrived from 4 different Texas cities. Check in was trouble free. Two fridges allowed space for everyone's favorite foods and beverages. There we so many spots to set up activities for two or seven! The pool was so relaxing. Hummingbird watching with morning coffee was great. Easy access to Garner State Park and river. We hated to leave.

Great Thanksgiving getaway

We, our kids and grandkids had the best time ever hiking through the trails, enjoying the colorful foliage and nature, spotting tracks and being startled by a buck while taking some sunset pictures. The home was great for our huge family and very interesting collections of all sort. We didn’t use the pool, but a few weathered it and enjoyed the hot tub one evening. We are definitely looking forward to coming back soon!

Home Away From Home

This house is by far the best with all the special homey touches and very clean. Well supplied kitchen too. Mostly, the owners response time to any questions or requests was at the top of the list of accommodations. Our teens loved the pool and ping pong table after the river trips. We enjoyed the spa at night under the starlit sky. Stop scrolling and book Bluebird!! You won’t be disappointed!!
