Beautiful Mediterranean Cottage on larger estate.

Built in 2016 by an architect for his parents to retire in, this guesthouse is accessory to a larger Mediterranean home, on an acre parcel. This 1,200 s.f. cottage includes all of the best amenities, with a progression of indoor to out doors paces. The cottage shares the acre property with the main residence, however it has a separate entry and driveway, and separate yard spaces. The cottage has private access to a heated saltwater pool, and spa, which is occasionally used by the main residence. Single carport with direct access to the unit, and additional parking to 2 to 3 other vehicles. The space features an indoor/outdoor room with with an adjacent secured outdoor patio. Good views of the ocean and immediate yard.

This place is amazing. We felt like we had a little slice of heaven during our time at The Cottage, wishing we could stay even longer. From the amazing views, wonderful pool, beautiful daily birdsongs and perfectly suited place, everything was excellent. The Cottage has all you need and we truly cherished our time here.

Staying at the cottage was the best decision ever! It was just as shown & described on VRBO. The unit was perfectly clean & the kitchen was fully stocked. The entire property is beautifully landscaped & you feel as though you are staying in a botanical garden. The owners are accessible, friendly & beyond helpful.

What a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. Tom and Eileen were such wonderful hosts, fast to respond to any questions prior to and after booking. The cottage is beautifully decorated, super clean, very well appointed with wonderful linens and towels. A beautiful neighborhood. The outside patio was my favorite place to sit and I hated to leave. We will absolutely rent this cottage again.

The house was wonderful, clean, well organised, modern and perfect. The beds were very comfortable, and the living room was large as was the kitchen with all the modern requirements. There is plenty of private parking. The pool was accessable and very nice to use. The host will put heat on at your request. The hot tub was really hot and ready to use. We really loved our stay and the hosts were always accessable and very quick to reply. We loved the outdoor patio and fire pit. We will love to come an stay again in the future.

This is a must stay if you vacation on the coast. It’s very close to a lot of my favorite spots in SB, but the house overall is just a dream. A sun room a patio AND a pool with a cabana style lounging area? Absolutely stunning. There was plenty of bathroom towels and pool/beach towels. A well equipped kitchen, I even told them it was my bachelorette trip and they left some candy & a small bridal decoration on the fire place, SO THOUGHTFUL!! One thing to keep in mind, you are by the ocean and it does get warm, so we did run into a small ant problem in the master bathroom and bedroom. Very minimal amount of ants (and it could be a worse insect right??) I had messaged the hosts and within minutes they let us know where the Raid was and immediately went out to get us more ant traps, and dropped it off at the front door, all in under an hour. Once again, the ants were not a huge deal nor did it hinder our experience/stay, just something to keep in mind! One last thing to note, their driveway is a little windy, curvy and especially steep so make sure you just drive slow and follow the signs to the “cottage” when you arrive. It wasn’t complicated for my group, just something to be aware of when you arrive! But once again, wonderful place, amazing hosts and we will be booking again in the future!

Exceeded expectations! The cottage looks beautiful in the pictures, but when we arrived, it was even more beautiful! The cottage is well stocked, and the owners included multiple perks like coffee, bottled sparkling water, warm cookies from scratch upon arrival and a bottle of wine. The cottage was immaculate with plenty of sheets, blankets, etc. The kitchen was well stocked for those of us who like to cook, and the views from the cottage were beautiful. The owners are very accessible, responding within minutes to our text messages. Amazing place, look no further!

This is one of the most superior properties we have stayed at. As good as the photos look, the actual listing is better. There is no drive-by traffic, the listing is very quiet and even though this is a cottage associated with a main house, you enjoy your privacy. Yet it is 10 minutes from the funk zone (restaurant s and stores) and the ocean. . There is a salt-water pool and a hot tub with a cabana. Both are clean and of high quality. The cottage is spacious with top end appliances. There is a lanai with a nice grill and fire pit, and an additional glass enclosed room so you can enjoy the views regardless of the temperature. The hosts are so helpful and really extended themselves to make sure we had a memorable stay. We would love to stay here again when we return to Santa Barbara.

I wanted to express how happy we were spending the 5 days at your beautiful cottage. We took my 87 year old mom with us and all was extremely comfortable and easy to navigate the house and pool area. We loved spending our mornings in the enclosed dining area for breakfast and dinner, late afternoons at the pool playing games and enjoying the pool and hot tub. Late evenings and bbq out back with the beautiful fire pit was the perfect ending to each evening. So comfortable and roomy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Lived that the fridge included an ice maker and water dispenser. I took morning walks around the neighborhood and took many beautiful pictures of all the beautiful plants and succulents. We have already recommended your place to many people as they have seen all my pictures and just love them.We will return. Thank you for being so quick in any communications we had.

This is a truly lovely holiday home with panoramic views of the ocean. One of the best equipped holiday houses we have stayed in, which is good as we love to cook. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. All in all a very happy stay. Thank you Eileen and Tom.

We loved staying at this home. The house had everything you could possibly need for your stay and was beautiful. We loved swimming in the pool and the hot tub was a great way to start the day. The hosts left us welcome treats when we arrived, which was a very nice touch.

Wonderful stay

Beautiful, comfortable place. Great amenities, great view. Tom and Eileen were very responsive if we had a question or needed anything, and were very generous about sharing the pool, fruit trees, and other non-private areas on the property.

Absolutely perfect!

This was such a beautiful, comfortable and relaxing place to stay. It is even better than the pictures! It was fantastic to sit out on the patio terrace in the morning and evening. The view is incredible. The shared pool was wonderful and the hosts were beyond accommodating and helpful! What a place!
