Charming Historic Shotgun House minutes to FQ/CBD

Freshly updated in 2023, this historic shotgun home is perfectly located in the fun/funky Irish Channel. It's walkable to Magazine St & St. Charles Ave and has easy access to the French Quarter, Convention Center, uptown, and the Warehouse District.

At nearly 1,200 sq. ft, it has a charming vibe and three lovely outdoor spaces. This 2 bed/2 full bath home has fun artwork, off-street parking, Level II E/V charger, all new bedding, fast Wi-Fi, and the owners are <1 mile away for support.
The space

The Ninth Street Shotgun is a single-family dwelling. You have the entire house to yourself and do not share any walls with anyone.

You'll love this fun, comfortable space! The house has two bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a brand new king sized bed with hybrid mattress and brand new comfy linens and pillows. It has a large, walk-in closet and a luxury bathroom, bathtub with shower, and larger sized vanity. There is a Smart TV with remote and access to the back deck.

The secondary bedroom has a brand new king sized bed with hybrid mattress and new comfy linens and pillows. A Smart TV, accent chair, and closet are all ready for your use.

There is a full sized washer and dryer available for guest use. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa for those who want to escape any snoring.

The full-size kitchen is well equipped with convection oven/stove, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. A drip coffee maker, Keurig, teapot, and toaster are also provided.

Guest access
The shotgun house has an off-street parking space right in front. There is also free street parking across and adjacent to the house, you just need to watch for gates and driveways. You'll get access to the house from a code I send you for the electronic keycode lock.

Grocery stores, bars, amazing restaurants, banks, dry cleaners, pharmacies, all kinds of local/retail shopping, and fashion/costume stores are all very close by and walkable.

Other things to note
Staying here you'll be centrally located to many parts of the city. The heart of Magazine St and its funky boutiques, bars, restaurants, and people watching are a short walk away. St. Charles Ave, the streetcar line, and major Mardi Gras parades are a few blocks further, through some of the most scenic and picturesque neighborhoods in the city.

Truly wonderful place to stay, it’s beautiful and well thought out with very comfortable beds and a great washer/dryer. We appreciated the bedside usb ports as that meant we could use our various cables without needing an adaptor for our uk plugs. It’s really conveniently located- a short walk to magazine and we also happily walked to Walmart frequently (though you can also get the 27 there) The 27 bus stop is very close and takes you all the way to city park which was brilliant.We’ll be hoping to stay here again when we’re next visiting NOLA.

This is a very comfortable house. It is very clean and well stocked with everything you need. It is in a great location . I would definately stay here again. The host, Andrew, was excellennt .

Wonderful shotgun home. Beautiful wood floors and cool New Orleans art throughout the house. Andrew was quick to respond to my questions and very helpful about the area. Unfortunately there is a train track close by and were going by all night.

This is an adorable home close to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street yet far enough away to be able to unwind after a long day of sightseeing in this peaceful little home. The home had plenty of pillows, towels and toiletries. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make coffee or a meal; the host went as far as leaving us bottles of drinking water and a bag of Voodoo potato chips. A personalized book referring us to just about anything was helpful. The host, Andrew, was readily available if needed and communicated with us throughout our stay. If we travel to NOLA again, we will definitely book this home again.

What a lovely, relaxing, comfy place for our staff in Nola! The beds, showers, towels, couches and kitchen appliances where in excellent working order and were items I would want in my home. From sitting on the porch, to eating breakfast at the kitchen island, to watching a movie on the couch to a good nights rest in bed, it was all great! I would stay again! The hosts were gave great details on how to work stuff and were communication when I had questions. Thank you for making our trip delightful!

This is a lovely home, exactly as pictured. we were 2 couples not interested in the heavy drinking bar scene of the French Quarter. We really enjoyed the neighbourhood and amazing restaurants close by and a short tram ride to the FQ when we wanted. Andrew was lovely to deal with. The house is close to a busy street with a loose manhole cover that clanks every time someone drives over it. Not anyone's fault, and we had a good laugh about it. But other than that the beds were comfy and we loved our stay.

Charming Shotgun

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s very hard to find a place that doesn’t try to cram as many people as possible into a space. The house had two nice rooms with king beds in both rooms and 2 full bathrooms. Perfect for 2 couples. Within walking distance of food, bar, coffee…. Quick Uber ride to the French Quarter. We would definitely stay here again!!

Great Mardi Gras stay !

Andrew was a great host and this home has a great location for magazine street and uptown parades. There are also great food and brewery locations close by, we had a great Mardi Gras Reunion despite a storm and flight delays

A great stay in the Irish Channel

This is a perfect house.for 2 couples or a family. It is nicely decorated with lots of personal touches. Beds were very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, nice quality towels. The driveway and outdoor seating areas are a special plus. Our host was very helpful. The location is great, just a few blocks from Magazine Street with restaurants and shopping galore.

Fabulous getaway

The description is spot on. This house is so charming and was absolutely perfect for two couples. We had everything that we needed and were very comfortable. We were close to everything and Andrew's book was full of excellent information. We would absolutely stay here again if we are back in the area.

Short-term rentals are far superior to hotels, right? At the Ninth Street Shotgun you get two full yet separate bedrooms, king-size beds, a sleeper sofa, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and free parking. All for better prices. Plus, you get all the hospitality I can offer as your concierge. I love being a great host for my guests and am happy to provide recommendations on everything from food to fun!
