Udsigt til millioner dollars i Stillehavet fra vores specialbyggede hjem med den største Infinity Edge-pool i Uvita-området og mindre end 1/2 mil, mens Toucan flyver fra havet. Privatliv på vores 13 hektar med 35 fod vandfald og kun 2. 5 miles til shopping, restauranter og bank plus ekstra sikkerhed for viceværten på grunde i et andet hus. Vores 3600 sf Kincaid design hjem har havudsigt fra alle værelser inklusive master suite brusebad. Hjemmet er omgivet af eksotiske haver med over 500 tropiske blomstrende planter og frugttræer. Alle møbler er specialfremstillede, flere træsniderier, tilpasset italiensk flisearbejde overalt.

really awesome property, great value. i will say we had a couple small issues but they were very quickly addressed and solved and i'm very happy to tell you guys the internet went from sub optimal to very optimal now so you will be pleased to hear that. There is only AC in the master bedroom FYI, but thats the only place i personally who is a finicky sleeper really need it.

Thank you for staying at Del Congos. Thank you also for pointing out the Internet router problem. Since we have a full-time Caretaker on staff living on the property in a separate house., he was able to contact the Internet company and arranged to have a new router installed on a Sunday! Problem solved!!

The house and grounds were completely amazing. As described, the road was a bit rough getting up to the house (100% expected) and we got a flat upon arrival (which was a fluke). Jeison met us at the house that night and even came back to replace the tire the next morning (even after we told him he didn’t have to). Everything was clean, the views were amazing, and we loved waking up in the rainforest. The kitchen was one of the most well stocked kitchens we’ve experienced. Jeison provided some places to see and local tours which led to us meeting more people and scheduling even more tours. The house was very private and we felt welcomed, even when we got a bit rowdy singing and playing music. I agree with other reviewers in saying the property was very safe and we left the doors open all week. Make sure to keep food put away as you are staying in an area with critters (ants). We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay on our first trip to Costa Rica. Some things we learned:the town closes down at 9 but they’ll continue to serve drinks if you’re friendly. Everyone is super friendly and knowing conversational Spanish will go a long way. Stock up at BM. Have a decent 4wd. Relax! We would definitely come back to this place and Jeison made our stay effortless and we loved knowing he was around. Also, the beaches are rough(we are from the east coast US) but found that playa ventanas was the perfect hangout spot.

From the moment we started renting our house, we recognized the importance of having an on-site Caretaker. Over 80% of our guest are from outside Costa Rica and having a caretaker to help them enjoy the beauty and make them comfortable with any questions they may have has proved to be a necessary component of a five star environment. Very few houses in Costa Rica have this important component. We keep our property in pristine condition.

Read this in its entirety! I believe that the “experience is the absolutely most natural offered with luxury lodging “. The fact is “the privacy of 13 1/2 acres of primary Jungle with 50 miles of ocean view is very rare “ Come and see!!!

The place is moldy and in need of significant maintenance. There was not enough water pressure to take showers during our entire 8 night stay. My family and I had to purchase shower time from the Carata Uvita down the hill, including our children. Make no mistake, my review is not meant to diminish the key features this home and area has- it is near the highest rental home on the mountain, has an excellent view, and the grounds are well maintained by Jeison. We had an excellent time with him and his responsiveness to our needs, but he could not increase the water pressure during our stay. He said construction higher up the mountain was causing issues, but water pressure and availability for hygiene and showers should be noted in the property description until the issue is resolved. Note there is only a mini split AC in the master upstairs and anyone interesting in renting this should be aware that the bottom rooms, kitchen, living area, and bathrooms are unconditioned. There is a washer and dryer on site that works poorly due to the water pressure, but got the job done. The owner was kind enough to rent us a true 4x4 after the rental company Avis gave us All Wheel drive and not 4x4, which is not the owner's fault at all. Just know you truly need 4x4 not all wheel drive. When we were there, construction was once again improving the road prior to Catarata Uvita area and below. Overall- good place to stay, but probably not if you have kids.

This review is from a guest who refused to pay the 3 extra persons charge above the 4 they stated were coming. Then they took my car keys without my permission and used my car. The house was painted and varnished a month before they arrived,We always use anti-mold paint and have a caretaker/maintenance person who lives on the property in a separate house. This review is sadly from a dishonest person who got caught ! Read the other reviews and make your decision accordingly!

Amazing house! Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay in. The house is amazing! Having five bedrooms really makes it convenient for a bigger family to avoid trying to figure out who’s rooming with who.The property is beautiful, the house is beautiful, and the pool was perfect and great for cooling off or having family time in the evening with the large table next to the pool.

Great Place

The house is a little tough to get to but it's worth it. Wonderful views with a great pool. Lots of privacy with assistance nearby if you need it. With 3 bedrooms it is perfect for a family stay.

Amazing location.

House and pool were amazing. Views spectacular as was the location. Make sure you do have a 44 vehicle. We did not and the all wheel drive barely made it up the mountain.

We have the best views in Uvita. The seclusion of 13 1/2 acres and the primary jungle provide a dramatic backdrop for extensive birdwatching and wildlife. All of Costa Rica is mountainous and a 4 x 4 is required. To reach our house. We rent two turbo diesel 4 x 4’s, which make it a breeze to get there. We hope you come back soon.

It was an amazing trip. The pictures don't do the property justice and Del and Jeison were wonderful hosts. Loved being there, opening the four doors to the pool so the air could flow thru the entire house and just do our thing. The first trip up the mountain was intimidating but after the first time it was a piece of cake, even in dark and rain. Make sure you get a great 4x4 car... I ended up with a Toyota Land Cruiser (my request was a Prado) and it was a super impressive vehicle. We loved all the food we had (we went to Mystic Sushi 3 times!), the excursions we did (whale watching and waterfall tours), and the beaches were incredible... better than expected! Playa Hermosa was our go-to beach and it had amazing 6-14 ft waves the first day and the second day there were easily a few 18 foot waves... ones that as they are coming in you just begin laughing because you know it's going to just wipe you out! Amazing stay, highly recommended! Thanks again!

Having a caretaker within 2 minutes (lives onsite in a separate house) gives you the feel of having your own personal concierge! It also means the house is maintained to a much higher standard. Sharp knives, cleanest pool, super clean house, local advice and more.

Beautiful house and property with cool breezes all day and night! We loved this house and our week in Uvita. It's got everything you need, and if you stumble upon anything you don't have the caretaker that lives a few minutes away will have it there in second. We felt very safe, and loved all the birds and wildlife. We even had a sloth hanging in a tree right by the pool. We became experts on driving the road and did so many wonderful things that Del recommended. Our highlight was probably the mangrove kayak tour.

Great time

We had a great time and the house was perfect for our family vacation. Edgar was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The road to the property is intense as other reviews indicated but the view is spectacular. Uvita is a beautiful place to visit!

Excellent property with friendly onsite caretakers who went the extra mile to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. The owner is engaging and wants to help you have a great experience. We took two excursions he recommended and had fantastic experiences. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay in Uvita! Kids got plenty of use from the water slide. Perfect views and wonderful onsite property manager. *Master suite is upstairs and is the only room with air conditioning.

Wonderful!

Had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Del's place. The house is beautiful and the kitchen well stocked for anyone wishing to prepare meals. The view of the Whale Tail from the second floor master bedroom is spectacular and Adrian the care taker is so helpful. The drive up the mountain as others have mentioned is interesting but definitely worth it! Will definitely stay again next time in the Uvita area!

Awesome view and amazing pool!

The location of this house is simply amazing. We woke our first morning to a barrel of monkeys in the trees outside our bedroom windows. The view down the mountain is even better when viewed from floating in the infinity pool. Thank you Del, for sharing your home with us.

Thank you for staying with us at Del Congos de Uvita. Based on your story, I guess we named the house correctly. Congos are the Holler Monkeys. I'm sure you also heard and saw the many Toucans and Cusingas that frequent our property mainly because unlike many other homes we are on a large parcel surrounded by primary Jungle. If I were a bird or Monkey I would choose Del Congos de Uvita my favorite place to hang out! I trust you also enjoyed it when Alex (our caretaker) and Estephany (maid) gave you Organic fruit, vegetables and flowers from our gardens. I hope that you return to visit again.

road was a little rough but was graded after a few days so 4 wheel is needed ..some steep inclines but remember you are at a higher elevation the drive is worth it .....Dell the owner was a great help has a 4 wheel drive at the property for rent.. also can make arrangements to pick your party at san jose airport and trans back too..he is worth talking with as he is very helpfull any plans you may have....

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay! So much that you extended for 11 more days ! Our road association did a wonderful job on the road since the previous 3 months were exceptionally rainy for some reason. Just book it!

You found it! Just book it! Everything was amazing! The view down is as good as the listing says. The pool and back patio area are perfect for relaxing while at the house. Uvita and Dominical are nice small towns with great grocery stores. The national park service beaches in Uvita are great natural beaches. The host was very helpful and offered anything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!!

Magnificent!

Del was absolutely amazing. Prior to leaving the US he spent countless calls with us arranging the actuvities we would do while at his property. The fishing guide was PERFECT. The property alone was perfection but arriving to a delicious home cooked meal was out of this world service!! The caretaker Alicia was so wonderful and sweet! I cant recommend this place enough! Thanks Del!

Great views and privacy in the jungle !

We had a great time with our family of 4 in this fantastic home. Home is private, had great views and is well equipped. Del rented us his vehicle which saves time at the airport and was very capable for the road adventure of ascending and descending the mountain. Del also arranged a round trip transportation to and from the airport in San Jose which was convenient. The driver (Gilbert) was very personable and stopped at points that were safe and had facilities for us. We had a great trip and are looking forward to returning!

Ideal Costa Rican Villa

The grounds are expertly maintained while the house is clean and organized, comfortably housing 7 adults. The views are utterly breath-taking - the infinity pool is especially luxurious and provides the perfect vantage point for viewing the whale tail beach. We had the perfect amount of seclusion and we could easily access many stores, restaurants, and activities. We also rented the vehicle available with the villa which turned out to be the best idea - highly recommended. Del is such a valuable resource on all things Costa Rica and the caretakers who live next door to the villa are so attentive, polite, and welcoming. Thank you for our unforgettable stay! We recommend everyone to stay here!

It's so nice to hear how our renters see the beauty in what we have created. It is our defintion of an idyllic paradise on the untouched Southern Costa Rica Bruca Coast chocolate -covered with the house of our dreams yet minimally invasive upon nature.

Great Uvita vacation

Del the owner made everything easy from start to finish. Communication was timely and renting his 4x4 was great, as it is definitely necessary to get around. He even made tour reservations for us at our request ahead of our trip! From zip lining, to Corcovado, to Nuyaca Waterfall all tours were outstanding. Everything about the house was first rate, from the million dollar view of the whale’s tail, to the beautiful pool. Best of all, Alex and Estafani catered to our every need, from daily laundry and cleaning to cooking us 2 wonderful Costa Rican dinners. All together a wonderful stay. Pura Vida!

In 2000 a friend recommended that we visit the Uvita Costa Rica area. We fell in love with the area and bought land in 2002. It is the only area on the Pacific Coast where the mountains come right down to the ocean making it the most dramatic landscape. Uvita area has the following amenities: National Park with Whale Watching,200-500ft waterfalls,Best Deep-sea fishing in World,Most eco-diversity in World, Many Americans who live there. I call it the 'Naples of Costa Rica' and many have chosen it as Home because they many say " there is powerful energy forces in this area"
