This updated vintage 1900 home in North Adams is just a 10 minute walk to MASS MoCA, one of the country's largest contemporary art museums, and a mere (and beautiful) 10 minute drive from Williams College Museum of Art as well as The Clark Art Institute. If you want nature & hiking, the Cascade Trailhead is a 5 minute drive, National State Bridge Park a short 7 minute drive, and The Hoosac Range Trail is 11 minutes away by car. If you're looking to ski, Jiminy Peak and Mt. Snow are 30 and 45 mins away.

VRBO lists A/C as a general amenity but only the front bedroom has a window A/C unit. There are several vornado fans too.

The house is great for a family of 4. The small extra bathroom makes a big difference. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was a short walk to tow if we wanted. The host was very responsive too. My only complaint is the car port - it was so narrow that I had to pull in our side mirrors to fit.

Fall weekend in North Adams

We enjoyed having a roomy and welcoming home base for our weekend in North Adams. The living spaces were lovely and the bedrooms and upstairs bathroom worked well for our group of four adults.

Great house in a great location

Our family really enjoyed our stay - the hosts were super informative (and even pointed us in the direction of free Mass MoCA passes from our town library). The house was clean and well-appointed.

Mass MoCA and Rafting

We had a great stay in North Adam’s. The place was clean and worked well for our family of four. We were close to Mass MoCA and white water rafting at Zoar rafting. I would stay here again.

Cozy and comfortable

This was a well-kept and comfortable house - the kitchen had everything we needed, and the house itself had plenty of space for our party of four, along with plenty of books, board games, and puzzles! We would recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

Weekend in the Berkshires

The home is very clean. The kitchen has newer appliances and plenty of cookware. There is a nice entertainment center. Numerous motion night lights that were greatly appreciated. The host was quick to respond to our questions.

The house and location was perfect for our stay. We were there to visit Mass MOCA. The house was located just minutes away. House is very comfortable. We enjoyed reliving our youth by playing Centipede arcade.

Close to Mass MOCA great find

Staying at The Porches seemed great for the ideal location next to MassMoca, but this home only a couple blocks away worked even better for us. Easy check in with a very comfortable space made our stay exceptional. The best part for us was the space between the bedrooms and kitchen making early risers feel that they could make their coffee without disturbing anyone sleeping in. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to work in and we were so grateful for the many fans to keep the air moving on a very hot weekend in July. Our last minute booking went smoothly and communication with the host was easy.

Lovely home, some hesitation

The house was lovely and for the most part clean and welcoming. The kitchen was very well equipped and the living room quite cozy. The two beds available were quite comfortable, but we were disappointed that the listed third bedroom didn’t contain an actual bed…just some kind of bean bag chair kind of thing. Nonetheless, there was a fold out couch in the living room so everyone was comfortably provided.

A great spot for museum-hopping

House is just as described....look at the many photos and you will know exactly what you are getting! Hosts were extremely communicative and helpful. We esp. appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and bedside reading lamps. Parking is a bit tricky: carport JUST large enough for my Tacoma... ..would be hard for anything larger. On-street parking is allowed. Fabulous location for visiting MASSMoCA and The Clark, which was our mission. Note that 3rd bedroom has a beanbag bed (we were told before we booked)....my friend reports it was comfortable. Would book again!

A Gem in North Adams

I cannot say enough about our stay this weekend. The house was great! The house was very clean and had a lot of old house charm. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, silverware and other kitchen utensils. The bonus was the old school Centipede game in the kitchen. Bring your quarters for some fun! It was so much better for us to have a house with separate bedrooms and all of the amenities, rather than renting hotel rooms in the area. The hosts were very responsive and having the guide with information was helpful. There was a snag with an overnight parking ban this time of year but the hosts were very helpful in providing a solution for our second car. I would definitely recommend this rental and hope to be able to rent there again.
