The house was perfect for a weekend getaway w/the family. It was close to everything without being in the hustle of the busy historic area.

We loved the pool table in the garage and the hot tub on the back porch. There was plenty of room for our mini-family reunion, and we walked down to the pier for some fishing as well. The owners were very quick to respond to all messages, and were very accommodating.

Great place for family and friends

We had a great time during our stay! We were in town for our friend’s graduation and we were about 30-40 minutes away from the Tarleton campus. We enjoyed the hot tub and having the lake behind us was a great plus. The house was very clean and Sam helped us every time we had any questions.

Lot's of board games to play along with pool and ping-pong. Close to the Spartan venue and the main town area. Would rent again!!!

Great location!!

Beautiful home in a great location for Granbury square and also Glen Rose. We have 4 boys ages 2 1/2 - 14 years… so it hit all the right points for them. There was just enough space inside for watching tv or playing board games. The house was very clean and ready when we arrived.

Sam was a very pleasant host. I do not want to hurt his business, but I have had such bad luck with homes on this rental site. I need to leave an honest review. Sam did reimburse me 20 for the bug bombs and spray. We stayed here for 4 nights even though the place was infested with bugs. We were greeted with swarms of mosquitos. I know they can be uncontrollable, but there was water standing in the bathroom sink that was clogged with hair, the washing machine door and dispenser, the plunger holders next to toilets and the front porch & in the shower. I was too scared to even open the hot tub lid. The next day I bought the bombs and had to stay out of the house for 2 hours of bombing and 2 hours of airing out the place. When returning I had to remove all the dead roaches, and still saw live mosquitoes. The ice dispenser & maker were frozen over. Ice cream was left in the freezer and had dripped to the bottom. Light bulbs were out in the bedroom room & closet, flashing in the kitchen & missing from the fridge. The bottom cabinets in the kitchen are not sealed & just hang, making easy entrances for pests. My sons were too scared of the spiders in the garage to use the ping pong table which was new & nice or the pool table. There were stains on the comforter and several wall outlets were hanging loose. With some reliable cleaners, pest control & repairs this place will be a great stay for someone else.

Granbury stay

The rental was so beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything we needed. The kids loved playing ping pong despite the heat. The lake park was just steps outside the backyard. The king bed was more comfortable than my bed at home, and I don’t usually say that! The location was great; close to the everything we wanted to do.

Home away from Home

The house was absolutely adorable! Everything was great! Host went out of his way to take care of us. Only thing we were sad about was we didn’t know hot tub was not working and hot tub guy kept saying he was coming and never would until our stay was about over so that was a bummer cause that was main reason we chose the place. But would love to stay again when the hot tub was up and running bc we adored everything else. Location was awesome as well!

Very clean. Quiet neighborhood

Great house with plenty of space in a quiet neighborhood. Backyard opens to a park and lakefront access with a fishing pier and boat ramp. The only reason we didn't rate 5 stars is the limited amount of hot water. We had to stagger showers or someone ended up taking a shower with cold water

House and location were nice. Needs up grading though. Upon arrival, I messaged the owner because there were several things that were broken and also the bathroom and hot tub were not clean. Shower tile was moldy in both bathrooms. Bed spreads were very dusty and grass was not cut (lots of bees flying around in the grass as well. He said 3 weeks prior (July 4th) he had renters that were rough on the house and offered to bring a new table and new hanger for the hot tub cover that he had at his house. That evening we realized the hallway shower would not drain at all and he didn’t answer for 14 hrs. My son had his work truck with him so he pulled his tools and fixed the drainage problem. The owner finally responded the next day and said he hadn’t answered because he was keeping the Sabbath (when you rent your house out you are supposed to be available 24/7). He sent me a receipt showing that he’d had the drain cleaned on the 7th. I sent him pictures and video of all the moldy hair my son was pulling out of the drain. After that, I never received a response. Didn’t offer a discount or to even compensate my son for cleaning his drain. We killed 3 small spiders in our bed while we were sleeping. Door seals need to be replaced. There were many spider webs in the house and a huge one from the front door to the sofa. I sat on sofa and got bit by spider I assume. Several bites on my leg. At this point I didn’t bother to contact owner again.

Was told my original reservation was double booked at the last minute. Then only had 15 minutes to choose a place before boarding our flight, so not a lot of research. This owner was very accommodating, allowing same day check in as we were forced to book last minute. Ad was hot tub and waterfront, technically correct, but the hot tub was a level down on a deck with no safety rail and the waterfront was a hike down about 4 stories of staies with no rails, either side. In addition the property was worn and run down with repairs needed in many areas (bathroom floor tile grout, main beam peeling, kitchen counter delaminating, freezer shelves broken, rotting wood under outdoor table, house eve trim falling off, ramp to dock very close to breaking through). Overall we were glad to have a place to stay, but disappointed with lack of games and such. Our original plan was to have grandkids over for games ect.
