Built around 1910, you'll go back in time when you step foot in this newly restored Dogtrot Cottage. Sitting on top of a mountain in Shirley, this is one of the few dogtrots still standing in Arkansas. The house was originally designed with open-ended passage that runs through the center of a house, flanked by two enclosed living spaces. The living room has been restored to how it would have looked in the early 1900's. Each room in the house is themed for a different decade. The kitchen was originally in a separate building apart from the house. But when the owners added plumbing around the middle of last century, a bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room were added to the original house. The home sits on 1 acre of land with plenty of room for parking cars, ATVs, boats, etc. You'll get views of the Ozark Mountains from almost every window. Two screened in porches and a large covered front porch makes it ideal for outdoor enjoyment.
While in Shirley, enjoy hiking, antiquing, ATV riding, kayaking and swimming/fishing.
There are two security cameras on the shed. One faces the carport and the other faces the side yard.
