Was a perfect location. Far enough away from the downtown to feel peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to be able to get to everything quickly. Was great and would come back!

This place was perfect for us. It has an island cabin feel situated on a private wooded lot. It was clean when we arrived and we had plenty of room for the three of us. Showers were plenty hot and our beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals and the washer and dryer were a plus. We would definitely stay here again. We did not have any occasion to contact the host.

Felt like a place with a lot of history and had a lot of kitchen stuff which was great. Great location and property. Good for a few days stay, had we been there longer I probably would have spent some more time cleaning than desired. The host was very responsive and nice, we felt lucky to find an affordable place to extend our stay on the island.

This is the perfect little cabin in the woods! The cabin was clean, and offered a fire pit outdoors. We were able to use it as our home for all of the things we wanted and needed to do during our vacation, including excellent wifi, which was important for online meetings.

We’ve used VRBO in the past & been happy. We assumed that some sort of vetting process was used & that we could therefore trust that a vVRBO properly would be reasonably nice. We were wrong.

This was a beautiful Beaver Island cabin. The place was clean and check in was very easy . Location is close to Donegal Bay and a quick drive to the harbor. We definitely will be staying here again.

Beautiful home with interesting architecture, barely visible from the road hidden away, close to town and very cozy. Host was very communicable and was able to open the place for us early in the season.

Baroque Festival

Stayed with friends to attend the Baroque Festival. Owners were helpful and courteous. The cabin was as described and the location beautiful.

Rustic Beaver Island Cottage

The rural setting was nice and peaceful, but we had a concern with some wildlife in the attic scurrying around at night.

i’ve had multiple exterminators and multiple deep cleanings in the house to rid the house of all mice. The house sits on 3 1/2 acres of woods. It’s a beautiful setting, but it is woodsy. Additionally, I have installed a new TV upstairs, I added cable TV to the house, I put all new pots and pans in the kitchen, I have put all new furniture on the back deck. I want everybody to have a great stay and a nice time on Beaver Island. Additionally, I’ve even bought multiple sets of new sheets to make sure the bedding is as comfortable as can be. It’s a great house. I have a 19 foot aluminum boat on a trailer that is there for anyone who wants to use it. If you want a motor, you must go to town and rent it or bring your own.. probably the boat needed cleaned because it had sat for the winter, but I have since taken care of it. The fishing is great on Beaver Island!!

The cabin was a cozy step back into the 1980s. It's just a couple miles from town and great beaches. Bring your essential bathroom soaps and personal items. Otherwise, the cabin is equiped with bedding and towels.

All we needed

Remote location, very private, but only a few minutes into town. House had a couple of quirks, but that's part of the Beaver charm. We found the home to be prepared for us, the check in was seamless, and the house was as advertised.

Location and price were excellent. Water has a very high level of iron and when we washed the white clothes it left a stain. The house had ample storage but most was filled with owner's stuff. Overall, at the price point it is very acceptable.

Wonderful Cabin in the Woods

A classic Beaver Island home. Everything we expected. It was just perfect for us, we brought our vehicle over with us so being a little bit out of town was actually great! We also brought our kids bikes over in the back of our truck so our kids had a great time exploring the island on bikes. A short bike ride to town (harbor) or a short bike ride to the Beach at Donegal Bay.

Roomy Cottage

The cottage was in the woods close to Donegal Bay and close to town. Very nice cottage, It had all the necessities you needed to have a great stay. Daniel was very helpful and always responded if you needed him. I was there for the Baroque music festival. I had a great time and will return to Beaver Island. ES

Quiet family bonding

Our family with 4 young children had a wonderful time. The house fit our family well, and was well appointed. For a house in the woods, it was remarkably clean inside with very comfortable beds. It had a well equipped kitchen with any pan or dish you might need. Our visit to Beaver Island was filled with long days at the beach, walks in the woods, trips to the Toy Museum, and daily ice cream cones. Perfect!

Relaxing No-fuss Stay

The GPS takes you to a vacant/wooded area down the road, but aside from that, the owner was quick to respond to messages and checked on us periodically to make sure we were taken care of. I only had to ask one question prior to our stay and he was quick to respond and very friendly throughout. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that is wanting to stay in a quaint spot, just a few minutes away from “downtown” Beaver Island. My husband and I chose this area for our honeymoon and we couldn’t be happier. We will definitely be back in the future.
