My two friends and I, along with our pups, had a lovely time staying here for a couple of days! We visit Milwaukee often, but it was our first time staying at this property — and I’m guessing it won’t be our last. :) The location is excellent — right across the street from a great neighborhood grocery store, with awesome bars and restaurants right nearby and the lake only blocks away. We loved the deck on top of the garage, and our dogs had fun playing in the yard. Jill was super communicative and so kind, both before and during our stay. Thanks so much!

This is a great location for proximity to the many fine cafes and restaurants in the Bayview neighborhood of Milwaukee, including the iconic Groppi's Food Market which is just across the street. We used the house primarily as a place to sleep as we were visiting family in the area and spent the majority of our time in their homes. It was very clean and also child friendly (we had two children with us, ages 3 and 5) . The hostess was very friendly and accessible for any questions. Highly recommend.

2nd bedroom doesn’t have a door and 2nd bathroom was never found (I guess it was in basement with washer/dryer and very inconvenient). My daughter loved the soft blankets. Air conditioning worked well. The yard that looked private is not very private and lack of a way to block the stairs to the deck created a way for my dogs to bark at everyone who walked by. No parking available except on street. And once there, you have to “register” for overnight parking. Host didn’t mention this at checkin, only that I needed to move to opposite sides every day. Instead we found instructions after checkin on the fridge. Laundry is downstairs and thus we didn’t use it.

Great house in a neighborhood that has a lot to do, while being an easy walk to the lake and a quick drive to downtown. We really appreciated the fully fenced in yard and the rooftop deck for morning coffee. Would definitely stay here again!

Pleasant stay

Host was quick to communicate back and everyone in my group enjoyed our stay in Milwaukee. Close to everything downtown and close to the lake!

Great Location & very neat home!

This was in such a great location. Very quiet neighborhood and had lots of amenities within walking distance!Super clean and roomy! Has everything you could possibly need for a very relaxing vacation.

This house is adorable! Bigger on the inside than the pictures show. It was very clean and equipped with everything you could need. Jill and her husband are incredibly responsive if you have any questions or problems. There are two decks and a fenced in yard, and the master bedroom has lots of storage space for clothes (plus the bed is so comfortable). The best part about this house is the location. Bay View is so welcoming and so much fun, I went to the Italian grocery store Groppi's often. It's right across the street, they have a bar in the back and the nicest staff ever. There are many places to walk to and the lake is so close by. I loved it and can't wait to return.The only thing I would warn is that like most of the older houses in that area, it isn't easily handicapped accessible. There are steps up to the house and the bathtub/shower is very high to step into, although they do have strong grab bars. I had no problems with any of it but I think some people might. You can tell the hosts care a lot about the property. I would not hesitate to recommend it. I brought my dog and I can tell they love dogs too. I stayed for three weeks and everything was perfect!!!

Amazing

We absolutely loved the house! It truly felt like we were at home. Jill & Mike were fantastic hosts and any questions I had were answered. We highly recommend staying here.

Definitely a Gem!

We enjoyed our two-night stay at Bay View Gem while visiting Milwaukee for the first time. The location was excellent - great neighborhood with trails for walking with dogs and plenty of good placed to eat close by, not to mention the very short and easy drive to downtown. We would definitely recommend.

Great location

Grate location. Far enough from the city , but close enough to go back and forth. Neat little home and nice deck above the garage. Would definitely recommend and/or be back.

Great house and location

This is the perfect spot to stay for a trip to Milwaukee. The house was clean and had plenty of room for me, my wife, child, and dog. Check-in process was easy and communication with the host was great. The location is super cool. There's a really nice Italian grocery store across the street and a cool bar/restaurant a block away. A lakeside park is within walking distance.

Our new Home Away From Home

The house is very clean, and the kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed the patio area and the grill for a nice summer evening. We loved the area, and the neighbors were friendly. Great location and a short walk to the lake or the Brewers game. The homeowner is very kind and quick to respond to availability and questions. We will definitely be back when visiting our kids in the area.

Long weekend in Milwaukee

My husband and I loved our long weekend at this home. The home was clean and fully equipped with all things needed for a comfortable stay. The fenced in yard was well-maintained and such a nice part of this pet-friendly property. The neighborhood is INCREDIBLE - extremely walkable, so close to the lake, parks, and bike trail. The check-in and check-out processes were simple. We would love to stay again!

Relaxing and Cozy

We had a wonderful girls weekend my mother and I ! The house was nice and cool when we arrived. My dog loved sunbathing in the backyard. We were 5 miles from downtown and right near the lake ! Wonderful neighborhood with friendly faces !

Awesome Trip

This was an excellent location for us. It was close to our family as well as close to the city and a very walk-able neighborhood. The hosts were very accommodating with our requests. They gave us an early check in and we were able to leave behind items for our family members who were coming after us. Great hosts! The home was well sized for all of us to eat around the dining table and the living room was very comfortable. We had a wonderful visit, thank you again!

Beautiful neighborhood

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. It was our first time visiting Bayview and the neighborhood surprised us. There's plenty of food/entertainment within walking distance. We enjoyed the South Shore farmers market on Saturday just a short walk away. The property had everything we needed and the fenced in yard was perfect since we had our dog with us. The owner was easy & quick to communicate with. Checkout cleaning requirements were also quite easy as compared to other places we've visited which was much appreciated as we traveled with an infant.

Stellar Neighborhood

We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely neighborhood of Bay View. The location is ideal and it has all the amenities we could have asked for. Unique restaurants and lounges, groceries, and parks are all available within a few walkable blocks. The lake and walking path are just two blocks away. There’s easy access to and from other areas of the city as well. The house is cute and comfortable with all the necessities, and the hosts were helpful and super nice. The check-in and check-out was uncomplicated and concise. This was our first trip to Milwaukee and we were really impressed with this fun town and our Bay View gem.

The place was lovely, well decorated and laid out. The communication with the owners was smooth and very responsive. When we discovered the coffee maker was out of commission, the owner immediately door-dashed tons of coffee from Dunkin AND ordered a new keurig to the house. The house has a lot of old charm; some slanted floors and I noticed the hot and cold water was opposite of the labels in the shower. We also noticed that the tub faucet wasn't up to snuff and had to attempt to fill the tub from the showerhead for our baby's bath. We were so busy we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor space, but it looked so inviting! Great yard, comfy patio setup, even a BBQ. Would definitely stay here again! The location is perfect, close to walking paths on the lake, across the street from an Italian grocery store, walkable to several restaurants and cafes.
