We just love this Loft! We have stayed here a couple times now, The Host has went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect! We again visited The Art Room and had a wonderful time painting and Sharing this experience with Family! I would recommend this place a million times over!!!!

This place is just WOW! If you are lucky enough to stay here you will love every minute! The space is well equipped and very comfortable. We stayed here over Thanksgiving week and it was a large enough space to have a family get together. The Host was great, answered questions and responded quickly. It is on top of a very cute ceramic studio, and if you’re as lucky as we were, you’ll take advantage of attending the Art Room and painting some pieces. We had such a great time and look forward to using this space again!

Swanky hangout!!!

We came into town for our son‘s wedding and had a marvelous day spending time with family and friends playing games and enjoying the eclectic atmosphere it was a very unique and fun time

Wondeful loft

Was great place! Very big nice things to do. Could not get tvs to work. Rooms are not very private which was ok but if looking to have privacy, would not be for you.

This place was amazing inside pictures don't do it justice, the trains was noisy but my kids enjoyed watching them pass by! How to get in the property was different but still good experience close to everything we wanted to do! Did notice mouse activity in the kitchen under the sink. But didnt see anything personally.I am sure this happens with empty properties. Would stay here again.

Our stay

Our experience at this establishment was amazing, we were nicely welcomed into our stay and we’re given a tour of the place. Located in the neat historical downtown where u have everything near by. Everything here works, had no issues getting in and out, no issues with AC or the showers. There is no complaints, if I ever make it back will definitely consider this an option for my stay again.

State Fair Stay

I loved the space and the decorations! The place was perfect for my family and friends who came in three different days for the State Fair activities. Everything was fantastic! Also very convenient for my friend who came in on Amtrak. Loved the Lamy building with the No.5 Bistro, too! Excellent food! Really had a great time! Thanks!

What a fun place to stay! We were busy with a family reunion so didn’t get to hang out there as much as we wished we could! But it truly was the most fun place to just chill. Our family had plenty of room to spread out. The place has everything you need. The trains are loud at night but every night was different and they provided ear plugs. A little white noise helps drown out the noise too. My whole family slept through them with no problem…I was the only one who heard them and that was just because I didn’t wear earplugs because I wanted to hear the baby. Overall, a very interesting and cool place to stay! We hope to stay there every time we bring our big family to visit our kin in Sedalia! Thanks for sharing your beautiful space.

TRAIN WRECK

I sent my review to them personally and hadn’t planned on writing this review publicly but since their response was to give me 1 free night if I booked again and would supply earplugs next time, I felt I would warn anyone looking to book a heads up. Don’t get me wrong it’s a BEAUTIFUL place but be prepared. The map on the website isn’t correct when I booked it and they never disclosed the train track being so close and that it runs EVERY NIGHT at least 10 TIMES throughout the night!! I didn’t sleep the ENTIRE time I was there!! I tried sleeping in the library but the bed was so hard you could feel the springs in the mattress. (The mattress in the far back room should be moved into the library or get a new more comfortable mattress) Luckily we didn’t have a baby or that would’ve been a nightmare. The last night I ended up having to sleep on the couch which isn’t made for sleeping. If you plan on sleeping in the master bedroom and the room with bunk beds, just know, anyone who is sleeping in those rooms will not get a good nights rest.

Amy, As discussed via text we were sorry to hear of your lack of sleep during your stay. This is something we take seriously and attempted to remedy after your check out. Unfortunately being that we weren’t made aware of the train or mattress issue (we have had other stays off of this platform prior to now with no complaints of either) until after your stay was over we were unable to fix the situations we had control over. We are unaware of the train schedule, and to our knowledge it runs varied schedules throughout the week. The map location of the loft is generated through google maps based off of the address of the building. The property manager did notate that you called upon arrival with issues finding the location in which she directed you to successfully. When offered a free night, we did not offer that on the understanding that you’d be paying for any additional nights but extended this to you as a monetary apology for your troubled stay. We are again apologetic of the issues you had during your stay and would be happy to discuss this further if necessary. We hope your daughter enjoys her new home in Sedalia and wish you happy travels.

I’m not sure where to start. This apartment had so many pleasant surprises. It was larger than expected. The decor was interesting and fun to explore. Beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked, and living area cozy. Bonus points for the lounger and full body massage chair. I’ve always wanted to try one and now I know I need one in my life. Major bonus points for the numbered towel hooks in the bathrooms - plentiful and such a good idea. It was a perfect place for our group of four adults and four kids, but easily could have accommodated more. Addressing the previous complaints from others…yes, it is literally on the train track. And yes, it comes through, on average, three times per night. Some were unaffected, some woke up and went right back to sleep. We were so tired, that by night three, I slept right through it. My granddaughter wore earplugs the last two nights and slept through all three. That said, with kids the trains were a treat. We are still laughing about the horn, followed by all four running through the apartment to go watch the train. Every time. As with all rentals, there are things needing to be addressed…rocker in the living room, one pocket of the pool table, tricky showers…but the place is lovely. I don’t know who their cleaners are, but I also need them in my life. The place is spotless which is amazing in that their are trinkets and such everywhere Last but not least, the host is awesome. She was very helpful, even after our stay was over.

Ty and I will check into the rocker and pool pocket. First I am hearing about that issue. My maids are so good and come when I have last minute guest. Glad you liked the massage chair. New things coming next year. Stay tuned for some new ideas and remolding.

I moved to Sedalia and found this old commercial building to live in and restore. The original upstairs loft area was just a large unfinished space. I designed it and made it a large, welcoming space for family and friends.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

I first brought this building 2016 but it was built in 1869. I loved restoring this building and being so close to everything downtown.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

This building has the original floors and brick as well as beams from the 1800s. It was a commercial building and I loved adding the modern elements for comfort with the history of the past.
