Great stay

The pool was not open for use during our stay, however, management gave a discount for the inconvienence. Overall great experience.

Perfect Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental was very clean and well maintained. The decor was very beachy. We loved having the pool to cool off since it was surprisingly hot in early March. We were right across the street from John's Pass and close to grocery stores. We will definitely be back.

Nice clean place with a beautiful view

Was a nice place to stay but having to use a key to get in & out of everything (pool & beach) was very aggravating!!

A Summer Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place has it all, even personal private parking. Being able to walk over to John’s Pass without the hassle of looking for a parking spot or having to pay. The only complaint we had was the size of the master shower. There is not a lot of room to move around or shower off.

The floors in the unit we stayed in were disgusting and the bedding needs to be updated. There was blood stains on my pillowcase. We will rent at this complex again but probably not this unit unless they make sure its clean and upgrade the bedding

Pool area and outdoor spaces very nice and clean. The beach front unit was ok. Somewhat clean but the bed mattress needs replaced. Bedroom tv is broken. Sofa is dirty and smells. Didn’t see housekeeping at all for the two week stay. Called about burned out lights in kitchen. Repaired quickly by maintenance. John

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were several maintenance items found. Stopped up bath tub, broken inoperable receptacle, light out, bad light switch, pillows were very old and flat, sheets were dingy looking. No bathrooms on ground level made it unhandy. We like staying by Johns Pass and I’m sure those folks had a rough way to go from the devastation last year but none of these issue were from flooding or wind. Sorry to have to give such a negative review but this was my experience.

Great Location

This condo is in the best location of Maderia Beach. To be able to walk across the street to John's Pass was all we needed. The room was clean and the kitchen was equipped with everything we need. There are a few punch out items that could be done (baseboard in kitchen, ceiling tiles when you first walk in) but for the price it was easily overlooked. I will warn you the master shower is very small but the other one in the hall is a full shower/ bath. There are a couple of complaints one being the use of 3 different keys. I understand it is to keep people out but it would be nice to switch to a key pad code. We were lucky to be on the 1st floor because the elevator is SLOW!! I have bad knees but it was not a problem going up and down the stairs all week. We would definitely go back again and again! Thank you for a great stay.

This is a nice rental. If you are arriving after hours, the check in occurs offsite. We had some difficulties getting codes to work to finally get our key fobs and access codes.The rental is average size for 4 people. Kitchen is small. Living room couch is great and very comfy. Master bed was nice but the bathroom was very small. Be careful not to hit your knees on the hidden bedframe. The bathroom fan was broke. Spare room was a nice size.For general information, there are not beach towels or a blow dryer with the rental. Kitchen had minimal appliances but sufficient for the week. No scissors. Regular coffee pot.Bonus-full size tent and 4 chairs for the beach! This was awesome. Location was so nice as it is right on the beach and within walking distance of John’s Pass. Also the laundry in the unit is awesome. The unit had a superficial clean. The shower curtains really needed changed. Spare bathroom had hair in the tub and the kitchen had finger prints and cabinets were dirty but we cleaned pretty good when we got there although I don’t feel like you should have to. The unit needs a painting update.The deck is great and spacious. This unit is right above the pool. The key fobs are required to enter and exit the building, pool, and beach and made for a great safety measure but they only gave us two. Maybe ask for another if you have people who are coming and going to the beach and building at different times. The pool was very clean and warm on cool days.

Madeira Norte Unit 110

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and stayed there many times before, just not in this unit. Loved it was on the first floor and ocean front however the unit was dirty. The furniture was thick with dust and the couch needs a good steam clean. The mattresses and pillows all need replacing. For $1900 for the week I guess my expectations were higher than they should have been. Other than that the unit had all the basic needs. The A/C went out on our last night but I called the emergency number and they sent someone out to fix it that evening and called the next morning to check on us. The beach is beautiful but the swimming pool was cloudy and the pool man warned us not to swim in it because the filters were broken. Madeira Norte was our go to spot but considering elsewhere next year.

July 2019 Stay

Overall, the room was what we expected from the pictures. We arrived prior to the 4 pm check in and our room was not ready (which we figured it wouldn’t be). They said they would call us when it was. The couple with us had their room ready at noon so that was great. We didn’t get in our room until after 4 - they forgot to call us. As soon as I walked up it appeared to be mold all over the door jam. On the inside I was even more disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. We had to wait for housekeeping to finish but I’m not quite sure what they even did it there? There was sand and stuff all over the floor. Crumbs on the couch and floor. The vanity lights in one bathroom only had 3 out of the four lights working and then it burned out a few days into our trip. We had 3 other couples who all had issues with their thermostats not working due to batteries going bad etc. The elevator stopped working. The whole building seemed outdated and run down. Maintenance and pool guy were very prompt and efficient.

However the pool was not open and no access to beach for wheelchair. Was told they were discounting the price by 25% for the inconvenience however I did not receive any refund. The room itself was nice and the view was perfect. Location was also great! I know we will be coming back again as overall we love the area!

Building elevators are updated and there is guest parking available. The unit (110) needs upgrades-0nly 3 coffee cups, mish mash of silver ware. Dining table chairs were horrible-1 was broken and 2 wiggled so badly you were leery to use them. Peeling paint in bathrooms. Beach toy closet was dirty & disorganized. Excellent wifi, large deck and nice deck furniture.

Our unit though is in desperate need of repairs. The owner really should come in and see what needs to be done. Tape placed over broken mirrored medicine cabinets is a hazard, so many things need to be done, can’t name them- sunhost is great, unit 110 has a great view, but some serious repairs inside need to be made.
