Unique clean log cabin on private 5 acre spring fed lake. Very quiet and private. Boating, fishing, hiking. 80 acres of forests and meadow to hike and explore. All modern amenities, large modern bathroom. Guest cabin for kids. There is only one cabin on lake. Canoe and kayak at dock. Large 1899 cast iron cauldron for safe pit fires. Free firewood supplied. Fantastic swimming right at cabin.

Nice secluded cabin, huge property with well-maintained trails, lake with four boats provided at the dock, very quiet location - might hear some noise from the nearby campground. Very good for stargazing. For check-in, you meet up with the hosts at the cabin. They were always available, even when my arrival was delayed until after dark. Tapwater is not drinkable, water provided in plastic bottles. A water dispenser would be a good alternative. Wildlife includes lots of frogs (watch your step!), turtles, kingfishers, cormorants, mink and plenty of fish. Be mindful of coyotes - you may hear them at night.

Wonderful cabin on an amazing property. Great location. Enjoyed fishing and kayaking. Cabin has great charm and is clean. We will be returning!

Awesome once again

This place is amazing. hosts are so accomodating and always available to make the stay PERFECT. Would highly recommend the place and we will be going back for sure. hopefully multiple times a year. Hopefully catch some fish next time.

Beautiful!

Len and Tina were thoughtful hosts and made our honeymoon stay extra special. The lake is incredible and so beautiful since it's spring fed! The cottage is very nice with a large bathtub and beautiful bedroom.

Home away from home

The hosts are friendly and made us feel welcomed. The cabin was very cozy, the area was very quiet. The perfect getaway for the weekend. Hope to rent it again.

Property was very private & quiet for the most part. Even in Algonquin you sometimes hear campers a thousand feet away. The host's (Tina & Len) were very attentive to our needs. VERY fast response and were very friendly. We had a very relaxing time and are looking forward to returning next year. THANKS Tina & Len !!

Peaceful and Beautiful

Len and Tina have an incredibly beautiful spot! It was so peaceful and a perfect place to get away from it all. They were great hosts and responsive to questions. Len even added electricity to the bunkie for us because we asked. Overall, a great experience!

Picturesque cabin by the lake

Absolutely beautiful property, the cabin is right on a private lake tucked away, with trails everywhere to explore. Easy to access with any car, well maintained dirt paths. The hosts were very communicative and met us at the property to let us into the cabin, give tips to maximize our stay, and made sure we were comfortable. There are ample space heaters, extra water, firewood. Bring bug spray, layers, and your own water, too! We loved this place and would come back in the hotter months for a swim in the lake.

My wife and I went to this property to get away for her birthday. When we arrived, we were greeted by the host and brought to the cabin. We were explained the expectations and shown where all of the needed amenities were. Then we were left to unwind and relax. The next two days were bliss. While we spent most of the time on the property the local area was great too. We hit a small farmers market, sampled a local restaurant, and checked out the waterfalls in the area. We can not say enough good things about the property, the area, and our hosts.

Very private. cabin a little small but great for a couple with small kids. if you want to relax and recharge this was great. lake and dock were great super clean water. wish the ladder from the water onto the dock had a few more stairs. trying to pull yourself up got very tiresome after a while two more steps would make me go in the water more. overall great

The cabin was neat, clean, and very cozy. The pictures on the listing do not do the main bedroom or the bathroom justice! The lake was private, peaceful, and lovely to spend time on, in the variety of boats provided by the hosts. Leonard and Tina were extremely friendly and helpful hosts, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and also offered a bunch of extra activities for both adults and kids. It was a perfect stay! The only small notes we had was that it would be good to install a drinking water dispenser (like with the big jugs on top), instead of providing visitors with endless amounts of small plastic water bottles, to reduce the amount of plastic waste; and that a few extra pots and pans for cooking would be great! Those tiny things aside, we loved our time at the cabin, it was the perfect peaceful getaway and we were sad to say goodbye. Highly recommend this cabin!

Relaxing getaway on the lake

We came here with our two children and had a wonderful weekend. It was quiet and private. Felt very secluded. You have your own private lake with access to kayaks a canoe and a paddle boat! The adults stay in the main cabin and the kids have their own cute little cabin beside. They loved having their own cabin. The lake was clean. They had a diving board you can jump off. Great fishing. My kids caught trout and loved seeing all the minnows. Surrounded by nature. Sounds of frogs and birds are very relaxing. Hosts were very kind! They have a huge forest you can explore with trails throughout it. It was the perfect getaway from the city. Would recommend this place!

West Grey Wonderland

We spent 3 gorgeous days on Len & Tina’s property. Our hosts were amazing, they made sure we had firewood and we were all set with water in the cabin. They even left us flowers and a card for our anniversary! Super nice touch. If you are lucky, Tina will take you for a rip on the ATV as this property has 80+ acres of trails to explore. If you are even more lucky, you can hit the zip line rigged across the lake. The water on the lake is crystal clear and I pulled a big rainbow trout out of the lake right before we left. Let him swim and make someone else’s weekend! If you are looking for a no frills, nature filled cabin experience this is it. Right near 3 waterfalls in west grey for day trips too!

10 days Amazing Days!

An absolutely stunning property, gorgeous lake for swimming. It really is all yours as it's on private property. The hosts were kind and informative. The cabin was spotless. As we stayed 9 nights, our hostess changed the linens after night 4. The fire cauldron was amazing for big warm fires by the lake. The kitchen has basic essentials, we didn't need to bring anything extra. There is a kettle, but no coffee pot. With a 2 burner induction stovetop, a microwave and a propane bbq, cooking was not an issue. Many species of wildlife around the lake at various times of the day. Cranes, Herons in the morning, frogs and ospreys throughout the day. A super friendly chipmunk will come say hi on the deck, keep your peanuts locked up, he ate a bowl of ours! Saw a mink hunting for frogs on our last morning. The manmade, spring fed lake is stocked with rainbow trout if you want to fish. There are many scenic hikes and waterfalls in the area. We saw 3 waterfalls in less than an hour from the cabin. 100%, we will go back! Thank you Len and Tina, you both are amazing!

Peaceful, beautiful, spacious and great hosts

The cabin is tucked away deep down the driveway, nestled right by the lake. Incredibly scenic, private and tons of land to hike and explore. There are trails all over the place (bring your mosquito gear). The lake itself was crystal clear, clean, perfect for swimming (and Im not much of a swimmer). The dock was excellent for lounging and wating the sunsets and stars. Fishing looked amazing, i can say the local osprey was enjoying it! The grounds were well kept, grassy and wide. The firepit is an exceptional cauldron and definitely a highlight. It keeps very warm, but you might need taller chairs to view in to it. The cabin itself is cute and cozy. All the very basics are at your fingertips. Just remember to bring what you need just incase its not there. The wood is warm, the place is clean. The main bedroom is great. Leave the one curtain open so you can wake up to the mist/fog over the water. Main cabin has 1 bedroom, and living room has space for an air mattress if needed. The bunkie is great and has 2 (single?) beds in it. No power yet, but for sleeping its A-OK. 10/10 recommended. We will very happily be back! Thank you for an excellent long weekend!

Property was absolutely breathtaking! We are definitely going to come back again. Only thing that could have gone better was locating the pool the listing mentions and had we had keys to lock up when heading out for the day. Other than that, picture perfect cottage.

Thanks for the great review on the Cabin. I don't remember putting a pool in the property description. There has never been a pool on the property. Could you screen grab where the description says pool so I can go into owners section and remove where it says pool. Thanks
