Welcome to The Stauffer House! This historical home offers character, tranquility and a great location. Built in 1848, The Stauffer House comes with history, while still including all the modern amenities. It also has a Carriage House on it that goes with the listing, that way you have the whole place completely to yourself. It's located just 10 minutes from all the Hershey attractions. It’s listed on the “National Register of Historic Places” and just won the 2023 Historic Preservation award! This family-friendly home will help make your vacation comfortable and memorable.

Excellent stay at The Stauffer House! Host and house were both fantastic!! The house was immaculate - it was so welcoming and had all the amenities you'd need. Kitchen had everything you could need. Lots of blankets/pillows. Comfy sitting rooms. This was a beautiful historic home that has been perfectly renovated with all the modern touches you need - it is a perfect balance of old/new! We had one tiny problem with the shower curtain rod in the carriage house and Cody was easy to reach. Anthony showed up so quickly on a Friday evening to fix it and was friendly and fantastic. We had a group of 7 - ages 6 to 80. The house was conveniently located to all the Hershey attractions and close enough to visit in the morning, come back to the house in the afternoon and go back to the parks at night. Kitchen was well stocked and the dining room table was huge and the perfect gathering spot. We went when the pool was closed, but I'm sure it's also amazing in the summer.It was easy to have Instacart delivered and lots of food options nearby. Parking was easy and very convenient. Perfect place for our family celebration!

Our host could not have done more. The house is gorgeous - beautifully decorated and well-stocked with everything you need in the kitchen. Our large family of 11 people enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner there and it fit us perfectly. Would happily stay there again and wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Exceeded our expectations!

We only were able to stay 3 days and 2 nights but I immediately fell in love with this home. I kept saying, “ I wish I could move it to our farm” in Georgia. It was tidy & accommodating in every aspect. We couldn’t find an iron for our wrinkled clothing but maybe somehow we missed it somewhere. The home is huge. Only down side was the noisy traffic out front but the host was very accommodating to our late check out needs.

Really nice house

We enjoyed our time at the home in December. Hershey is just down the street with plenty of places to eat. We would stay here again. 6 adults, 2 youngsters and 2 babes. Owners excellent to work with.

Amazing home for a large family

We had an amazing time at Stauffer House. The house is beautiful just like the pictures on VRBO the house had everything we needed, towels, washcloths, plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses and coffee mugs; there was even infant plates, bowls and utensils. Plenty of pots and pans and even serving dishes. The house is simply outfitted with anything you may need. We had an amazing family weekend and hope to stay at Stauffer House next year when we head to Hershey.

Weekend Ren Faire Getaway

Three day getaway with 9 adults ranging from 19-59. The house was perfect for us. Very clean, spacious and convenient to Ren Faire and Hershey. We had a blast and would rent here again. The host was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

This house is absolutely beautiful..love how it has been restored and maintained with modern anemities but still has the historical feel. Lots of space and the most well stocked place we have ever stayed! Tons of towels, dishes, cookware..EVERYTHING we needed! The carraige house is equally adorable and we appreciated the extra space for our group. Beautiful grounds as well..love that its all fenced in for the kids and for privacy! Cannot say enough good things about this property..we hope to stay again!

Family trip to Hershey park

This house was perfect . Plenty of space for our family including 6 grandchildren . The outdoor space was really nice . The kids enjoyed the pool (plenty of pool toys and towels provided) . There is also plenty of seating around the pool to enjoy a drink or a meal . There is also a large grassy years where we had so much fun playing wiffle ball. The house is so well equipped with everything you might need . One last thing the owner is very responsive !!! We can’t wait to come back again !!

Loved the history of the home. Kids loved the pool. Could have used some board games to entertain the kids on rainy days. One of the bedrooms only has access through another bedroom. Overall it worked for our family and the Host was really nice.

Couldn’t be more satisfied!

For those of you who love old homes, this is a very nice opportunity. We comfortably had our family of 12 along with a little one in a “pack & play.” The carriage house makes for a great space for people who want to be away from the rest of the guests. We were doing Hershey Park and this was a fantastic location. It is an easy 15 minutes to the park. The entire home has been meticulously upkept. I can’t imagine the amount of work it took and takes. But as I said, for those who love older homes, this 1848 gem is wonderful to enjoy. The pool area is clean and relaxing. Plenty of pool things and some corn hole boards. The shade from the trees around make the pool even more inviting when it is really hot! The yard is fenced and you feel like you are in your own little world. I especially enjoyed the layout of the landscaping and gardening. They have kep some older oak trees and a beautiful American Beech. Very nice. The host, Cody, is very responsive and knowledgable. The only thing that some guests may not be keen on is that there are 4 bedrooms upstairs but only one bathroom. Some of the bedrooms have access through other bedrooms, so you may have to go around another way if you don’t want to disturb someone in bed. For a family, this isn’t a big deal, but some guests might thing it is important. Honestly, it is amazing that this home has been retrofitted with three bathrooms to begin with—so it was well worth any inconvenience. I would rent this home again!

Fabulous, Historic Home

I stayed with my family at The Stauffer House. It was clean with many amenities. We had a great time out by the pool during the day or the fire in the evening. There are articles hanging around the house explaining the home’s history, so if you’re a history buff or just like old homes, this is the one for you. It has plenty of room and is close to Hershey Park and Chocolate World. Do not hesitate to book. Highly recommend.

Wonderful historic home

A group of us stayed for a dance competition being held at the Hershey Lodge. The house was great. Big enough for all of us. We were 7 people total. The property is beautiful and this historic home is so interesting to be in. We would stay there again if we needed to.

Medical School Graduation Weekend

This is a gorgeous, historical property with beautiful grounds. The landscaping is gorgeous and the backyard is magical! The extra large dining room table and open kitchen floor plan were perfect for our family graduation celebration. Our entire family sincerely appreciates the opportunity to experience this special home.
