The house was perfect for a family of 6 and a few guests throughout the week. It was very clean and had all the amenities anyone would ever need. It is very up to date. The location is great and the path around the island was nice for everyone to get some exercise in daily. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything imaginable. Garrett was very helpful with some great fishing spots in the area and answered any questions we had very quickly. We do not have a single complaint and could not think of anything that needed to be added/changed with the place. Our stay was great and we are looking forward to going back in the future.

Great accomodations!

The property was everything it advertised, and more! Fishing was great, and close by. The cottage had every amenity imaginable. And the host was gracious and easily accesible. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more!

Dog friendly Island Paradise

Cottage is top notch with tons of technology features. Centrally located to Clayton and Alexandria Bay. Very supportive Cottage owner, very close to 10,000 Islands Park. Highly recommend this property.

Great Getaway

Great place for a taste of island life. On the river with very nice dock and clean organized cottage. Fully stocked with all the items you are likely to forget. Hosts were quick to respond to our request and were informative of the area. Gave ideas for things to do. Come to relax and fish the river. St Lawrence River does not disappoint.

Perfect summer getaway

Our family of four stayed a week and loved it. The place is completely stacked with supplies and amenities; too many for photos to do justice. It was the perfect balance of being away from it all, but not giving up the things you're used to having. I even learned about a few accessories that I may implement at home. You can't go wrong here. The place is very clean and the whole process was well organized.We coupled our stay with his boat rental which made everything easy.

Beautiful stay on Grenell

What an amazing experience!! The views of the river are spectacular and it was so cool watching big ships pass by in the distance. This was the perfect place to get away from the city - it’s so peaceful and quiet on the island. The cottage was exactly as described in the listing and photos. It is beautifully kept, fully stocked, super comfy and clean. There was a lovely garden area in the back with chairs - the perfect place to sit and read a book. Garrett left a guide book on things to do in the area which was super helpful since it was our first time here. We had so much fun boating over to Grindstone Island and visiting the winery there. We would highly recommend this place!

We spent a week at Westerly Cottage and enjoyed it immensely. Garrett and Kaitlyn were excellent hosts who communicated clearly and promptly. They have equipped the property with thoughtful touches and conveniences that make staying there a breeze, and the cottage is lovely. The kitchen included every conceivable item required to make and serve meals and grill easily. We loved having a wide variety of coffee pods. Check-in was easy, and they kindly provided a complimentary bottle of wine and beverages waiting for us in the refrigerator! Island residents were very friendly, and we enjoyed meeting two and four-legged residents during our walks on the path around the island. The Westerly is tucked in a protected and peaceful cove, with a boathouse that permitted us to leave the canvas off our boat during the stay. It was so nice and easy to hop on our boat and enjoy the Thousand Islands. We launched nearby at Spicer Marine Basin as Garrett recommended, which worked well. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We look forward to returning to the Westerly for a future stay!

Waterside Adventure at Westerly Cottage!

We have never been to the Thousand Islands and booking this vacation was a calculated risk. The listing for Westerly Cottage was enticing, but you never know what you will find. Well, we found a vacation paradise! The TI region is more beautiful and serene than any of the photos convey. The water is clear, the islands are varied and seemingly endless, and the people are so friendly! Best of all, dogs were welcomed everywhere we went. The full-day boat tour; Rock Island lighthouse; Thousand Island Park on Wellesley Island; the quaint downtown of Clayton with its Antique Boat Museum; lovely dockside restaurants and hopping marina were all fun local outings. But every day we were happy to return "home" to Westerly Cottage. It is impeccably clean and updated with WiFi, AC, Espresso and Keurig machines and new kitchen appliances in addition to a loft with an office set-up and television area. And a detailed visitor's guide to the house and surrounding area provides all the detail you will need. Our hosts provided everything one would want to enjoy a vacation in comfort and style. We did not spend much time indoors though, as the deck, dock, boat slips, dog swimming hole and walking path around the island drew us outdoors. We met many of the islanders as they took their evening stroll, cocktail in hand. Garrett and Kaitlyn, could not have worked harder to create a lovingly appointed space. They were instantly available for all of our questions, and guided us at every turn.
