Thank you, Tiffany. We are glad your family enjoyed the peaceful setting, spacious accommodations, activities, parking, and the opportunity to bring your dogs. As shown in our listing and photos, this is an owner-occupied property with separate guest and host sides. The pool, pickleball equipment, and lawn games are our personal amenities, which we gladly share with guests. Sharing them allows us to offer families more activities at an affordable rate, as a rental with an exclusively private pool would typically be considerably more expensive. We also offer two fire pits—one near our side and a more private one on the guest side by the river. Our checkout requests are standard for VRBO properties and help us prepare the home for the next family. Thank you again for staying with us.

Because our property has a unique layout, we encourage guests to review the listing description, photos, and guest binder. These explain that the additional half bath is located in the common laundry area. Your stay occurred during a significant heat wave when the energy company was asking customers to conserve. The air conditioning was working; however, the thermostat automatically returns to its programmed setting every 24 hours unless the “Hold Temp” feature is selected. At your request, I set and held the desired temperature for you. If the temperature was later adjusted, “Hold Temp” needed to be selected again. I would have been happy to assist further had I known there was still a concern. Believing everyone was away, we briefly entered to turn off lights. Our intention was to be considerate of the energy crisis, but we recognize that we should have contacted you first, and we sincerely apologize. At the same time, the yelling and manner in which the concern was addressed were upsetting and unnecessarily confrontational. We believe concerns can be communicated respectfully by everyone involved.
