An Architects Studio- In a Secluded Forest

This incredible space has been the inspirational hub for designing the most creative projects in Humboldt during the past 18 years. Now it has been reborn as an immersive space to enjoy the redwoods. Every inch has been thoughtfully designed to allow our guests to feel the enveloping majestic nature of the surrounding forest. Upon arrival, a golf cart awaits for your journey through the woods, to the upper landing of the raised boardwalk crossing over a seasonal creek bringing you to The Studio.

We live on the same 5 acres as The Studio. We value our privacy and we respect yours. The Studio is very private. We typically see our guests when they arrive and occasionally run into guests in our driveway. We are available if anyone needs anything, but we are very non-intrusive. We really want our guests to feel secluded in the forest.

There are two large and one small dog that live and roam free on our property. If you are not comfortable with dogs, then this property will not be a good fit for you.

This cabin can only accommodate two people. If you arrive with additional guests, you will be asked to leave and forfeit the cost of the rental.

We will happily accommodate photographers and hair and make-up if you are getting married.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Architect’s Studio! The hosts are truly amazing—so hospitable, friendly, and effortlessly cool. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The studio itself is incredible, thoughtfully designed and immersed in the redwoods, with so many neat and intentional details throughout that made the space feel special and inspiring. It’s the perfect blend of design, comfort, and nature. We absolutely will be back!

This place is amazing!!! Only 5 to 10 minutes from beaches and hiking paths. It was very well stocked with anything you may need. The golf cart ride to the cabin was surreal each time we took it. If you want to see the Redwoods, this is the place to stay. Would highly recommend this property!

Great Location For Exploring Redwoods

The cute little town of Trinidad is a great location for exploring Redwoods National and state parks. Hosts were great and photos give a very accurate impression. Great wifi and comfortable accommodations.

Magical Studio in the forest

This VRBO was one of the BEST EVER! Well placed windows, well stocked kitchen, amazing deck, awesome hosts, and friendly dogs. Will definitely stay here again!

The Studio was a wonderful property beautifully designed and decorated - we wanted a place of respite in the woods - and it did not disappoint! The Studio was in harmony with the nature that surrounded it, offering outdoor space to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the morning and linger for late afternoon sunset. Danni and Karl were wonderful hosts, with sweet touches welcoming us as guests. Highly recommend!

Amazing Property!

We used this property as our home base for visiting the Redwoods. The hosts were very helpful and gave us great insight to the area. The property was amazing, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need, and we loved driving the golf cart through the forest. Wonderful place to stay.

The BEST rental ever!

Every single detail was perfect! This is a high end vacation property. My husband and I had an amazing two days staying in the Architect Studio. It was a great place to spend our 25th wedding anniversary!

Perfect Cabin Getaway

This was by far the most amazing property we have ever stayed in! Danny and Karl were incredible hosts, even helping us with our rental car when the battery was dead! The space was beautiful, fully stocked kitchen that we took advantage of, amazing porch that we drank coffee and ate breakfast on every morning. The views were stunning. Location was perfect. I could not recommend this cabin enough! We will absolutely be back.

We had a lovely stay in this very private cabin in the woods. Despite the owners also living on the property, we did not hear them during our 4 days in the cabin. The kitchen was the best stocked of any rental house we have ever used - high quality pots/pans and sharp knives, as advertised! And although I had some misgivings about the spiral staircase and middle-of-the-night trips to the bathroom, my concerns were unwarranted. Loved sitting outside for breakfast, snacks, and dinner. Although we prefer to stay where we can hear the water when we are in Trinidad, this was a great alternative!

Perfect Paradise in the Forest

This amazing hideaway in the forest is simply incredible. It felt like our experience of the redwoods never stopped because of the way this studio is immersed in the woods. Danny and Karl were so helpful and we took them up on their suggestions of things to do and see. We will be back! We highly recommend this property and honestly can’t think of any negatives. It made our dream of visiting the redwoods absolutely perfect!

Newly Weds

Beautiful is an understatement! Definitely a peaceful tucked away cabin. You are fairly close to the treehouse that also is rented out as well as the host home. But what the owners did to insure privacy is above and beyond. Never heard a soul. You would never know other people were there on the property with you. The kitchen is amazing. Coffee is to die for. Definitely recommend this cabin for a quite tranquil week.

Dreamy

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful, relaxing week at the "architect's studio". Riding the golf cart along the lit path to this cabin in the woods is like traveling to another world ... one that we wished we didn't have to leave. It's super cozy and comfortable, very well-equipped, and is exactly as pictured/described. The design is very thoughtful and fun. Despite feeling quite remote, you're a quick drive into town (which we love) and even quicker to the beaches. We've visited the area several times before so knew it fairly well, but the hosts had great suggestions both in advance and during our stay for things to do ... many of which overlapped with our own favorites. Oh, and don't let the dogs scare you away ... they are really sweet!
