Great location! Love the area. From the house to beach is an easy few minutes walk. 20 minute drive to Jenner. Bodega Bay & Marina are a short drive away. The home has a nautical theme going on. It is an older home, but charming; a bit rustic. Comfy queen bed. Heater works great. Shower works great. We didn't use the twin beds in 2nd bedroom. Plenty of dishes for 4 people.

I lived in Salmon Creek in 1975 and Bodega Bay for 4 more years after. Neither has changed much. I trip down memory lane. The house was in great shape and exploring the sand dunes and walking the beach was wonderful. Drove up the coast to Jenner for breakfast and inland along the Russian River to Guerneville and then back roads to Occidental for lunch. Beautiful area. Had dinner at Rocker Oysterfellas one night and the Mexican restaurant the other. Both good. Happy that I rented the house.

cozy cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute, cozy cottage is quiet neighborhood. We booked this cottage for Labor Day weekend specifically to be close to the campgrounds. The cottage itself felt clean, however there were a few things that needs to be addressed. Some maintenance issues like bedroom door sticking, lack of towels (only one thin towel per person was provided), dirty pans and utensils, and active rodent in kitchen(found droppings on the kitchen counter and towels) are some of the reasons for the 3 stars. We only cooked breakfast in the cottage but found the pans and utensils were not properly cleaned. Our two boys shared the room with the twin beds. Their complaint was it was very difficult to sleep in the morning because of the huge skylight waking you up. We did not use the outdoor spaces, although they looked lovely. Salmon Creek was a lovely little neighborhood and so convenient to the beach.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Fisherman's cottage. We love Salmon Creek and enjoyed the proximity to the beach. The cottage was very cozy and we loved the charming Cape Cod style decorations. The host left the lights and music on for our arrival which was very welcoming. You can't beat the proximity to the beach which is just a few minutes walk from the house. We would love to have a return visit to this charming cottage by the sea!

Very cute and cozy place! We made sure to save the information because we plan to come back. Perfect location.We only had one hiccup which probably doesn’t happen to often, but due to the high winds we lost power. So I would suggest brining flashlights because eventually your cell phone power dies!

The kitchen has ants. Also, there is an animal of some sort in the kitchen who took some big bites out of a banana on the counter during the night.

Cute inside and great location. Walking distance to beach. When we walked into home the fire/furnace was on that made it very inviting. However, no instructions on how to turn off. Followed a 3x5 index card that was for the cleaners in the binder but still would not turn off. Place got very hot and windows do not open so had to open doors. Do not leave any food on counters because the ants will come. Provided coffee but no cream or sugar. States they have kayaks but I wouldn’t trust them and difficult to get to them.

COTTAGE BY THE SEA

Well cared cottage at a quite location. Beautifully decorated with all necessities provided for a wonderful vacation. We enjoyed our visit very much and hope to go back again in the near future.
