Great location, nice neighborhood. Cottage was charming and the outdoor space was wonderful!. The stone steps leading down to the waters edge were sturdy but could be challenging for older folks. (as well as the steps leading to the 2nd floor). All in all, the family had a great time!

Property and house were great. Beautiful views from deck. Cindy was amazing, Got back right away with answered to my questions.Kayaks and paddle boats were a plus, had a great time on them.My husband actually caught 20lb catfish right off of dock. Boy that was tough, but got him.Only thing are steps down to dock but that’s to be expected. Would definitely do again.

Property was great. Cindy the host was super nice. She had everything we needed. The fire pit was great and the dock was beautiful. House was very clean. Loved the tub and walk and walk in shower. Rooms were spacious. We cant wait to come back

I’d give it more than 3 stars if I didn’t see at least two other reviews noting broken loft bed frame and both queen beds sunken in the middle. Property management should have fixed these immediately: order frame on Amazon, fix it in the 5 hour period between checkout and check in. No money lost. For what vacation rentals go for there’s no excuse. Check if beds are fixed before booking. Wish I did. Luckily no one got hurt.Other than that, place was cute, cozy, and clean. Kitchen stocked well enough to make breakfast. Upgraded bathrooms were nice and clean, soaking tub with lake view is pretty nice. Heated floor in one bathroom. Property was beautiful and rustic. Beautiful views of lake from rooms and deck. Do wear good footwear to get around because this area is rocky and steep. Kayaks were nice but have seen better days - they work for playing around in. Life jackets and paddles provided. Parking was good. Easy to get to. Decor was nice and like a cabin. Fix the beds and it will be perfect .

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy rustic cabin. We loved watching the deer wondering around the cabin and the community. The host Cindy was very responsive and handled our minor issue as soon as she could.You can tell the owners put thought into the natural stone steps down to the lake but there isn't a hand rail so our family members with knee and balance issues couldn't do the steps themselves. The one bathroom is small and the large sink and shower lip combination makes it difficult to maneuver in the bathroom making it a tripping hazard. The larger bathroom is a great addition but lacks privacy from the people sitting on the deck. I believe Cindy was taking care of this after we left. We had some rainy weather and enjoyed the screened in porch and well stocked games and puzzles. The mattresses are soft and broken in.Beautiful view of the lake and the dock was comfortable and roomy. You can tell the owners are committed to updating and making their property one people will enjoy and want to go back to. We would definitely go back.

The cottage/House was well equipped and had everything we needed. The location was great, and the surroundings were perfect. We were so impressed with how clean everything was. Beautiful

The property was absolutely beautiful with nice fixtures and upgrades. However, a few minor additions would have made it perfect. Curtains in the bathrooms and hooks for the hand towels would have been nice. Overall, we would stay here again.

Exactly what you think of when you picture a cabin at the lake. Great views and direct lake access! Plenty of different spaces outside to enjoy. We comfortably slept 4 adults and 4 kids. The new steps are very nice but there are a lot of them. It would also help to have some outdoor lighting on the screened in porch, deck, and stairs. We’d definitely stay again!

Peaceful Family Outing

We had a great time. The house and property were nice and as advertised. The stairs to the lake were a bit longer than we expected but it was nice to have a private dock to swim, fish and boat off. One minor note on GPS directions, it should be 52 Glen Road, Paupack.

The house has a cigarette smell; the rooms are tiny but that's not a problem it's the stains on the carpet and the spider webs on the window curtains. Also, the queen beds were folding in therefore were uncomfortable to sleep on. There is no space to put your clothes away we had to keep them in our bags. Appliances in the kitchen should be upgraded. To top it off there is no blinds or shades on the windows in the bathrooms, living room and the kitchen which makes it uncomfortable during late times when lights have to be on since the house has a very close neighboring house. Another problem that should be fixed is the stairs going to the upstairs bedroom, maybe if you are a child this will work but for adults it's an accident waiting to happen. There is rusty old mirror hanging in one of the downstairs bedrooms why have one at all you can't see yourself anyway. The only nice part of this house is the upgraded bathroom with comfortable shower.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that certain aspects of the home did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that the scent you noticed was not cigarette smoke. The cabin has a functional wood-burning fireplace, and at times there may be a lingering wood-smoke aroma, which is common in rustic cabin settings. Regarding the stairs, this is an older cabin with its original character and charm. The staircase is shown in our listing photos and may be more challenging for guests with limited mobility, so we always encourage guests to review the listing carefully to ensure the home is a good fit for their needs. We also wish we had been notified during your stay about the concerns with the beds and other issues you mentioned. In particular, the broken bed frame resulting in the mattress just being laid on the floor which we were unaware of until after your departure and unfortunately affected the next guests' stay. We are always happy to address concerns as quickly as possible, but we can only do so when we're made aware of them during a guest's stay. We appreciate your comments and are glad to hear you enjoyed the updated bathroom and shower. Guest feedback helps us continue improving while preserving the unique character of our cabin.

Great weekend on Lake Wallenpaupack

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. There was plenty of space for two families including adults and young kids. The house was clean, cozy, and stocked with everything we might need. There's a great view of the lake from the back deck and screened in patio. Having access to the lake and dock was great for swimming and boating and we appreciated being able to use the kayaks and paddle boards available on the property. The property manager was very quick to respond to any questions and was incredibly helpful. We would love to stay again!

Our family recently stayed at this property - some real positives, but a few things to know before your visit.The good: Fantastic location for wildlife lovers - plenty of birds and deer, plus multiple bald eagle sightings on the property. A/C worked well throughout our stay. Two kayaks and two paddle boards are provided for the lake, a nice bonus for water lovers.Things to know: Be prepared for some walking - unloading the vehicle requires a bit of a trek, and the path down to (and back up from) the lake is a healthy walk with no lighting, so bring a flashlight if heading down after dark. Plan accordingly if you have mobility concerns or young kids. The kayaks and paddle boards are showing their age and in rough shape, and we found no PFDs on the property, so bring your own.The house could have been cleaner on arrival - some towels smelled of mildew, and a fair number of light bulbs were burnt out. Both bathroom windows need curtains for privacy. The exterior grounds could use some TLC, with quite a few weeds. We also found no personal touches upon arrival - even a signed notecard, flowers, or candy goes a long way toward making guests feel welcomed into someone's home.Overall, the location and wildlife are real highlights, but the property would benefit from some cleaning, minor repairs, and yard upkeep to match its potential.

Great Family Trip

The house was exactly what we expected and needed. We were a family of 6. There was ample space. The house was clean with all the necessary supplies. The steps down to the lake provided a good work out, not a problem if you plan you trip down to dock with a bag of supplies to limit trips up and down. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and paddle boards. Thanks for a great rental !

Lake stay

We enjoyed the house and the veiws, the house was great and the decorations were unique. Everything was just as listed. The owner had his boat in the slip so we expected more dock space but made it work. Waves will get quite rough on a busy day. The stairs were unevenly spaced which made it a little scary to get to the water but we never had an issue. The grill was amazing to have and worked great. Very nice to have our own little spot and plenty of parking. Would stay again.

Can’t wait to go back!!!

Our stay at Glen Road Cottage was absolutely unforgettable! The view was nothing short of spectacular, offering a peaceful and serene backdrop for our getaway. My family and friends had an incredible time creating amazing memories together. One of the highlights of our trip was the fun we had getting our endurance up by going up and down the stairs to the lake. We even turned it into a friendly competition, adding an extra layer of excitement to our stay. The description of Glen Road Cottage was spot-on, and the reality exceeded our expectations. Glen Road Cottage owes us nothing; we had an amazing time and are already looking forward to our next stay!
