Wildcat Mountain Cabin - Private, Views with Hot Tub

Summary:

Wildcat Mountain Cabin is blissfully peaceful cabin with an emphasis on nature in the heart of the Catskills, located 2 hours from NYC.



Set on 5 private acres with mountain views, the cabin has 2 bedrooms (with an additional pullout) and 2 full baths. Amenities include a a stunning fireplace, hot tub, firepit, outdoor shower, and access to the best hiking and dining in the region. It should be mentioned that there are a couple steep stretches to the road that leads to this house. The private roads are very well-maintained in winter, but the access road and driveway can be challenging in winter. Having a 4WD/AWD vehicle is absolutely required for snow and ice.



The Space:

Set up high on Wildcat Mountain, the private, 5 acre property enjoys mesmerizing views of Red Hill in the distance, which can be appreciated from many spots in the house given all the sliding glass doors.



In the master bedroom (queen), for example, a claw foot tub is situated just so, for soaking in the panorama, through the glass doors. Step through to the deck, which runs the length of the building, and hop in the hot tub and relaaaaax. The master bedroom also has a really terrific wood-paneled bathroom en suite, including a tiled, glass-enclosed shower.



The cathedral-ceilinged living room and dining area offer a generous amount of space and comfortable seating (includes a pull out sofa), with the added coziness of a wood stove. The living space flows into a new kitchen, with fab chunky chopping block island, again with glass doors leading out to the deck.



The guest bedroom (full), which features a gorgeous vintage bedstead and pretty view of birch trees in the meadow, is tucked down a short hall, which has a second bathroom.



It should be mentioned that there are a couple steep stretches to the road that leads to this house. The private roads are very well-maintained in winter, but the access road and driveway can be challenging in winter. Having a 4WD/AWD vehicle is absolutely required for snow and ice.



The Neighborhood:

Wildcat Mountain Cabin, is located in the heart of the Catskills, in the hamlet of Claryville. This quaint town has lots of explore-worthy hikes and is central to a lot of the best towns in the region. Getting Around:

Wildcat Mountain Cabin is less than two hours from New York City.



NOTE: Wildcat Mountain Cabin is at the top of a hill that is served by a well-maintained town road, regularly plowed and sanded in snowy or icy weather. The access road and driveway to the Cabin itself is privately maintained and can be challenging at times in the winter. For this reason, we strongly advise that you have a SUV 4x4 or All-Wheel Drive vehicle to get there. Having a 4x4 or All-Wheel Drive vehicle is mandatory in snow or icy weather. The winter weather can sometimes be unpredictable despite every effort being made to keep the driveway navigable

** NOTE: The house does not have air conditioning. Fans are available for the bedrooms.



An EV Charger is available, there is an additional charge of $.62/kWh for use. Guests will be billed back on the card on file for any EV Charger use.
