Home definitely feels like home away from home. The dock is amazing for fishing. Beautiful view and access to lake. We've been going to Big Bear, and specifically this house, for ten years, and this has to be the best location on the lake; deep waters; when water level drops, the dock is always in deep waters, still great for fishing. Clean house; everything you need is there. Host and concierge assistance is immediate, if needed. Thank you so much for sharing this home. See you next year!

The property is absolutely gorgeous! Very clean, very beautiful, the view of the lake is unbelievable! Lots of space for everyone to spread out! And there is a game room on the lower level with a pool table and game table that my kids really enjoyed. Our family had a great time during our stay there. The bedrooms and furniture throughout the house are very comfortable too. Barb, the host, was very responsive and good at checking in to see if everything was going well during our stay or if we had any questions. This is a great place to stay if you want to be right on the lake with a fantastic view!

We absolutely loved the property. Magnificent views and all the amenities. Figuring out all the different light switches was fun, and in the back jack & jill bathroom, there was almost no hot water. Also, a light was out in the laundry room. Our major problem with the property concerned our dog! We understood this was a dog friendly house, but after getting the rules, it said only a 20 lb dog was allowed. This presented a major problem for our daughter and her family.

We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed our home, and we apologize for any confusion or inconvenience you experienced during your stay. There are quite a few lights and light switches throughout the home, and honestly, even we sometimes still get confused by them! Often a light goes out that we are unaware of until we are alerted by one of our guests. Thank you for letting us know. If anything comes up during a stay, please reach out to the owner or concierge right away. We are more than happy to walk you through an issue or have concierge come by to resolve it as quickly as possible. Regarding pets….as noted on our website and as part of our pre-booking questions we welcome one dog up to 20 pounds. Thank you again for staying with us, and we are glad you enjoyed your time at our home!

Beautiful location; could be the best location on the lake; great fishing from the dock; no need for boat! Weather was cold, but warmed up nicely. Time to start going two, three times a year! After nine, ten years at this house annually, it's still the best and never gets old. Thank you for having us again and again.

The property is enormous and is vertical with multiple layers of wrap around decks. It sits right on the tip of the peninsula of Boulder Bay. You have a panoramic view of the lake and the big houses across the bay. The master bedroom has well placed picture windows to enjoy the view. Outdoor spa and two fire pits are well placed to enjoy the view as well. I would return.

Great house. Great view. Unreasonable host, unreasonable restrictions. Two 70 year old friends came to visit for 45 minutes and parked in driveway, we were contacted and told we were breaking the rules. At the time two registered guests were not on the premises , so we not in violation of local guest requirements, Driveway had plenty of room for additional vehicle, not bothering neighbors, no loud music , no party ! Asked about one additional small dog because we had a last minute dog sitter cancelation, offered added deposit as well as extra fee and were denied. We felt as if the fee charged for this property should have earned us a little consideration and respect,

When renting a vacation home for family and friends, it is essential to choose a property that can comfortably accommodate everyone in your group, including any pets. It is important to follow the homes occupancy and pet policies as exceeding the permitted number of guests, vehicles and animals violates the house rules and can create issues for both guests and property owners. This includes the several coming and going of additional vehicles and guests. A short visit by 2 friends is never an issue. House rules are clearly outlined in our listing, in the prebooking questions and conversation with the owner, the contract that is signed by the guest and again in the check in information. Given that these rules were communicated multiple times before your stay, it is difficult to understand your concerns. We truly enjoy sharing our home with the many, many guests that enjoy our beautiful home for the past 14 years. We are sorry that this experience was not a good one for you. We wish you the best always and hope you find the perfect home that can accommodate your next trip to Big Bear.

Our stay at The Grand was nothing short of spectacular! As former Big Bear vacation homeowners, we had admired this beautiful property for years while passing by on our boat. Experiencing the breathtaking lake views from inside the home was a truly unforgettable treat. The home is absolutely stunning—beautifully furnished, meticulously maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing getaway. Every detail reflects the pride and care that has gone into creating such a welcoming retreat. The panoramic views of Big Bear Lake are simply magnificent and made every morning and evening feel special.Barb was an exceptional host. She was warm, responsive, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. It was obvious she genuinely cares about her guests and wants them to have the best possible experience. Our family made memories that we will cherish for years to come.
