Privacy and convenience meld beautifully at Stoney Creek Cabin, a cozy oasis tucked in the woods, along Tomahawk Branch Creek, and located within a 5-minute walk of Black Mountain Golf Course and a 5-minute drive from downtown Black Mountain. Charm abounds upon entering, from the stone fireplace with gas logs to the thoughtful furnishings, your mountain getaway awaits.

The main floor of the cabin offers a well-appointed kitchen, dining space for 4, a primary bedroom with a king-size bed, and a full bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. The upper-level loft boasts an impressive A-frame ceiling with beams, a queen-size bed, and a full bathroom. A covered back deck allows you to enjoy the sounds of the creek under bistro-style lighting after an evening around the fire pit or soaking in the newly added hot tub.

For avid hikers, Lookout Mountain is a great trail in nearby Montreat that is just under a mile long and offers stunning panoramic mountain views. Also in Montreat is the epic 4.8-mile Graybeard trail that showcases color-changing foliage in the fall when at its peak. Take a quick 5-minute drive to reach “The Little Town that Rocks,” Black Mountain. Known as the “Front Porch of Western North Carolina,” the town boasts 3 local breweries (Lookout Brewing, Pisgah Brewing, and Black Mountain Brewing) along with novelty shops, art galleries, parks, and incredible restaurants like Trailhead Restaurant & Bar, Louise's Kitchen, and Black Mountain Bistro.

After experiencing all that Black Mountain has to offer, take time to explore the “Land of Sky,” Asheville, just 25 minutes away. While there, check out the hip and artsy West Asheville district, North Carolina Arboretum, and iconic Biltmore Estate, and sample the award-winning restaurants and breweries between all your activities.

​​​​​​​On your way back into town, stop by Lake Tomahawk, a couple of blocks away from the home, to catch an epic sunset over the Seven Sisters Mountain Range and glistening lake. Be sure to check out the sign located on the path to see if you can spot all the "Seven Sisters." If you visit the park during the day, be sure to pack a picnic to enjoy alongside the water while you watch the ducks bathing, or take time to play a round of tennis and walk the elliptical path that surrounds the lake.

This house feels like a secluded oasis but close to town. The outdoor space was amazing which included a fire pit, hot tub, bamboo lined creek, and bird chirping melodies. The cabin was cute with ample linens. The kitchen had ample cookware, appliances, etc. it’s nice that the cleaning crew disposes of food products left behind so if you want condiments, foil, etc be sure to bring that with. 10/10 stay!

Wonderful stay!

We stayed in the cabin for a mother/daughter getaway and loved the property. We ate dinners on the porch and loved the beautiful backyard. The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location was easy to get to and perfect for exploring Black Mountain and Asheville. We would absolutely stay again!

Great place!

The house is very comfortable with a great view of a creek out back. It is secluded as well! Greybeard was very responsive via text. Overall very satisfied with our stay - we just wish we could have stayed longer.

Great little cabin

Nice place to relax has a running creek in back you can here from the deck and a big yard for the kids to play. My kids loved it we will be back. again.

Convenient with back yard seclusion

We visited Black Mountain mid July. We visited Biltmore and the Arboretum and had a great time. Cabin was super easy check in with plenty of communication with owners. There was plenty bear activity but we let them alone and watched them come and go. Overall a good stay and would recommend

We really enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped. It rained frequently during our visit so we didn't have an opportunity to use the fire pit. We loved the back porch and spent several hours out there most days enjoying nature. Inside was clean but rather drab.The outside porches all had to be swept when we arrived. The master bed was not very comfortable. Overall the cabin was comfortable with easy access to town.

House was clean and fully supplied with all items for cooking, drinkware and utensils. Property was very pretty with bamboo and the stream. Hot tub was very clean and enjoyed it every night.They had fast multi port charging stations on nightstands and sleep assist sound machines.2 bedrooms had it's own toilet & shower. There was a washer & dryer to use and you got a welcome bag with the detergent for washing & cleaning too.On the negative side the grill was very durty and we couldn't use it. Kitchen needs lots more lighting, fireplace was difficult to light. All in all the house was very clean, but needs to be better maintained.

We stayed for 4 nights and we loved this place! It was perfect. We brought some firewood with us and had a fire at the firepit almost every night. The house was on a residential street at a dead end. The way it is at the end is perfect because you have the privacy yet you are within a couple miles to the center of the town of Black Moutain. The cabin had all of the amenities that you need and was impeccably maintained and furnished. The hot tub was marvelous. We only had a couple issues which were addressed immediately by GreyBeard rentals. There is a creek that runs behind and the firepit is perfectly placed bank side to it. The property is located central to some hiking trails as well. Black Mountain isnt far from Asheville and the Biltmore estate. We definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!
