Family time

Everything was great. Our family had a great time. There was plenty of room and the house was stocked with odds and ends to make our stay comfortable.

Great spot! Friendly owners

We loved the location and the neighborhood pools (especially the front one with the waterfall). Overall the property was clean, if you are nit picky you might not be satisfied. It was a perfect spot for us. Lack of any hand towels and only 2 bath towels was a surprise so we had to immediately buy some towels, which we left there. Other than that we were so pleased. The owners were very responsive and kind, especially to allow access to their owners closet so you can borrow boogie boards, chairs, and floaties. Perfect option for us and our dogs (we so appreciate pet friendly!). We would definitely stay again!

Family Vacay 2023

It was a pleasant stay. The resort had three pools and a clubhouse. It was a quick and easy check in. Rented a golf cart and rode front beach strip. Lots of attractions close by. The room was nice and clean.A few suggestions replace linens on beds, and replace pillows, clean the kitchen stove and maybe upgrade the TV'S. The only TV with streaming ability and cable was the one downstairs. On a positive note screen time was limited but wifi gave my littles a chance to wind down from the busy day while using their devices. The vacation was enjoyable either way. The Club house has many amenties such as a pool table,plenty of books,ping pong,and corn hole. Fitness room was also available. Our family had a great time!

Location is amazing!

Location is unbeatable! It’s our 1st time staying in this townhome but 2nd time in Portside Resort. It’s walking distance to the beach, property has three big pools with waterfall, a spa and dog-friendly. Grounds are pretty and well-maintained. I like Portside Resort a lot! I like the townhome but it needs better cleaning service: the fridge had dirty shelves, kitchen floor was sticky, lots of dust in the restroom and under beds, dinning table was sticky, mirrors had spots. We came around 7pm and cleaners already left. Cleaning is very important for our family. We went to Walmart, bought cleaning supplies and cleaned by ourselves. I didn’t complain to the owner and didn’t request a new cleaning because I made a mistake in booking and the owner forgave me a pet fee. We were not provided even with the starting pack of kitchen supplies. It was plenty of bath towels but were no hand towels. The sheets were uncomfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, just wish it was better maintained.

Lacking cleanliness

Overall the property and location was ok. Our issue was with the unit itself. We arrived to check in at 4pm. The cleaners were still working on the unit. After contacting the manager, the cleaners came out (15min) and said we could enter but the place wasn’t cleaned since they didn’t have enough time. We entered to find disgusting areas of the house. While in the home, one of the cleaners returned and let himself in by using the Pin pad, didn’t even knock even though he knew we were in the house. He had return because he forgot something. We did contact the owner and site manager but they did not offer to help the situation. I sent the owner pictures of how dirty the place was and he kept saying “this had never happened”, which I understand but it still doesn’t justify it being ok. I spent the first 2hrs cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms. The shower curtain had mold all over, there were dirty baking dishes in the oven, food and spilled drinks in the fridge. Dog hair all over. No toilet paper. The bedding and bath towels had hair all over them. Once purchased cleaning supplies and disinfected things, it was ok. We realized nothing was going to fix our situation because everything around us was full and we are a family of 5. Contacting the owner and manager didn’t help at all. We contacted VRBO and their suggestion was to contact the owner too. BEWARE if you do stay here, I recommend you bring cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, your own bath towels.
