This custom, Gold Level GreenBuilt home provides so many comfortable spaces you won't know where to spend your time relaxing.

• Should you go outdoors to the wide front porch to take the afternoon sun while lounging on the bed swing?

• Or to the main-level back deck with comfy seating and bright morning light?

• Maybe the south-facing patio with Adirondack chairs and a chimenea on a cool evening?

• In the afternoon the high deck off the primary bedroom (aka The Drey) is the place to be with binoculars for birding and a cool beverage (summer evening) or cup of coffee (any morning)? (This is also the viewing point for fireworks at the Grove Park Inn.)

• Or should you turn indoors to the cozy fireplace, sectional sofa and Samsung Frame TV and Sonos surround sound in the living room?

• Perhaps a chat at the kitchen island listening to your favorite tunes over the multi-amp Sonos system while the chefs prep the next meal?

• There's always the option of some quiet time in the library on the Luonto Monika queen sleeper sofa?

• Or a stretch on the yoga mat in the workout space (aka The Pit)?

• It's never the wrong time of day for a doze in The Drey on the king-sized Thuma bed with a locally-built Colton mattress.

GROCERY STORES are easy too: Whole Foods, Harris Teeter, Trader Joe's, Ingles, and Fresh Market are within a few minute drive.


DOWNTOWN Asheville is a walk (20 minutes), bike (5 minutes) or drive/Lyft/Uber to art galleries, shopping, dining, cafes, breweries, distilleries, or entertainment (Fine Arts Theater, Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, The Orange Peel, Wortham Center for the Performing Arts, or Harrah's Cherokee Arena).

Bedroom/bathroom configuration is:

• Primary bedroom (bedroom #1) with king bed and en-suite bathroom with double-slipper, Signature Hardware soaking tub and curbless, tile-surround shower. (upper floor)

• Guest bedroom (bedroom #2) with queen bed and shared bathroom with shower/tub. (upper floor)

• Kid's bedroom (bedroom #3) with twin beds (trundle) and shared bathroom with shower/tub. (upper floor)

• Library with queen-sized sofa sleeper and en-suite bathroom (with dual function as main-floor powder room) with tile-surround shower. (main floor)


And for those who have to get some work done, there is a semi-private, lighted desk nook with high-speed WiFi and a printer.


Municipal regulations require stays of no fewer than 30 days.

We know you will recognize this and that you will respect our home, our yard, our street, our neighborhood, and our neighbors as if they were your own. Among those neighbors are our tenants in the house next door (45 Austin Avenue with a shared driveway) and in the basement unit on the ground floor of this house.

A fantastic stay!

There is so much to love about 43 Austin Ave and our family had a very special stay. Spacious. Comfortable. Beautiful & functional design. Excellent location. Nice views. Great neighborhood. The hosts were incredibly helpful and totally available to us. We will definitely be coming back to this stunning home!

Amy and Coalter have lived in this Asheville neighborhood with their children since 2007. Now empty-nesters, we are taking the opportunity to travel as schedule and finances allow.

Our neighborhood in North Asheville was subdivided in 1917 and many of the homes are over 100 years old. Sidewalks and front porches combine to make for a walkable neighborhood and an opportunity to get to know others in the community.

Our home at 43 Austin Avenue is a custom, newly-built, solar-powered, single-family home near downtown. In a 100-year-old neighborhood of beautiful Craftsman-style bungalows, it stands out as the new kid on the block.
