The Fair Street location was ideal for our Newport vacation. It was within walking distance of nearly everything we had planned, and the designated off-street parking was a huge convenience. The accommodations were spacious, clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for our stay. Matt and Keith were excellent hosts, providing detailed instructions and a helpful list of restaurant recommendations. The only drawback was the noise level at times. During our stay, a nearby restaurant’s dumpster was emptied by the trash company at approximately 4:45 a.m. on two occasions. The sound of bottles clanging and the dumpster being dropped was extremely loud and woke us up both times.Additionally, we were staying on the second floor, and a group of four guests arrived a few days into our trip. Noise from doors closing, electronic keypad beeps, footsteps, and conversations carried throughout the house more than we expected. To be fair, this may simply be a characteristic of the building, and other guests may have experienced similar noise from us.That said, the outstanding location, comfort, and overall quality of the property far outweighed these inconveniences. The noise was ultimately easy to overlook given everything else the property offered. However, light sleepers may want to bring earplugs or consider whether the setting is the right fit for them.
