From the moment we booked until our last moments on this striking property, the host was incredible. We loved the location, the privacy, peacefulness and absolute tranquility of Thorn Creek Cottage. The cottage had everything we needed from great kitchenware to internet service in the middle of the mountains! For a fisherman and a chef it was the perfect escape. We did not want to leave and will be back in April.

I’ve rented many types of homes on VRBO and this was one of the best by far! The property is beautiful, surrounded by mountains with a beautiful creek in the backyard. It is very private and quiet and the house has five of anything you could possibly need. The sky was only clear for an hour one night but I’ll be back this winter for some stargazing. This is a great spot to stay if you are looking for outdoor activities. We can’t wait to come back!!

Beautiful location. Very quiet. Deer visiting in the yard. Top of the line appliances. Though we used coffee maker only. If you forgot anything from home the host probably has a replacement on site. Well stocked. Plenty of room inside to relax

Family trip

The property and cottage were extremely clean and well kept, and appear much better in person than in the pics. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice, quiet getaway.

Quiet slice of heaven

Beautiful grounds with easy access to the creek. Quaint, well kept cottage with the comforts and conveniences of home. Remote enough to feel private, but less than 20 minutes to town.

Thorn Creek Cottage was perfect for our girls’ weekend. It’s bigger and nicer than it appears in the listing, and very clean! The furniture and appliances were newer, not thrift store finds. The kitchen was well-stocked with nice dishes, pans, utensils, spices, etc. The only thing we had to buy was aluminum foil. The primary bathroom was huge and stocked with extra towels and toiletries in case we forgot anything, which we did. The a/c was a bit loud, but tolerable once we got used to it. The bedrooms were just the right size, and the loft area was spacious and well-lit, although the spiral staircase to the loft was a tad scary. An added bonus was plenty of accessible electrical outlets! The exterior was great! The grass was freshly mowed, there were plenty of chairs for porch-sitting and deer-watching. The gazebo by the creek was amazing. We spent most of Saturday playing games there and sitting in the water. The host was very helpful with suggestions and quick to respond to questions. I would love to come back here someday!

Wonderful Property!

Our stay at the Thorn Creek Cottage was outstanding! We grilled everynight, spent a lot of time outside in the fabulous yard/surrounding area, and hiked in the connected wilderness area. The kitchen has everything needed and the house and furnishings are beautiful. Our host was very gracious with good communication. Enjoyed our stay very much - thank you!

Exceeded Expectations

Everything about the place exceeded any expectations as compared to other properties in similar settings. Comfortable for 2 couples downstairs (2 rooms) plus 4 beds in the loft for kids or young adults.

Great home in a fantastic setting!!

We rented for an extended weekend to enjoy the area and have some quiet time. This house and setting were just what we needed. Waking up to the sound of the stream was peaceful. The home was filled with more amenities and toiletries than we were expecting. Would definitely stay and bring more family next time! Thank you, Chris and Leslie

Beautiful

We arrived and everything was clean and perfect. Everything you needed was here! Perfect location for the treasure mountain festival. We also used the fire pit out back which was nice! The baby was able to watch her iPad at night to go to sleep with the internet. My family stayed down the road at a campground but I'm not much of a camper. I would recommend this place again!!It was perfect!!

Perfect Weekend!!!

We had a wonderful time during our weekend stay at Thorn Creek Cottage. Our host Jordan went above and beyond to be sure we had a comfortable stay. Everything we could have needed was provided, and there were so many extras that we were so pleased with! Thank you so much for providing information about local events and restaurants!! Jordan stayed in communication with me throughout the reservation process and stay, and everything went so smoothly. The high quality sheets, towels, cookware were way above expectations and the Cottage was very clean. Pictures do not do justice to this peaceful well appointed place!! We were here to visit my son who is working in the area, and we felt right at home here!! We would definitely stay here again!!
