The Space:
Beautifully restored to preserve its historic charm, this 120-year-old cabin offers the perfect blend of classic character and modern convenience. Thoughtfully updated throughout, the home provides a warm and inviting retreat while honoring its rich heritage.
Step inside and enjoy bright, sun-filled living spaces enhanced by large windows in the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The living room features soaring ceilings that create an open and airy atmosphere, perfect for gathering with family and friends or simply unwinding after a day of exploring. Modern amenities, including updated appliances, central heating and air conditioning, complement the cabin's timeless appeal, while a charming potbelly stove adds a touch of nostalgic comfort.
The cabin features three comfortable bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Conveniently located on the first floor are two bedrooms and a full bathroom, making the home easily accessible for guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Each bedroom is equipped with its own split ductless heating and cooling system, allowing for personalized comfort throughout your stay. The primary suite offers a king-size bed and a private en-suite bathroom complete with a classic clawfoot tub for a relaxing retreat.
Ideally situated within walking distance of town, you'll have easy access to local favorites, including fine dining restaurants, Day's General Store for everyday essentials, and the beloved Hello Good Pie bakery for freshly baked treats. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate being just a half-mile from the renowned Belgrade Lakes Golf Club.
The property also includes deeded access to Long Pond, located just a short walk away. Spend your days enjoying the waterfront amenities, including a dock, swimming area, rafts, and picnic tables. Whether you're swimming, relaxing by the water, or taking in the natural beauty of the area, this peaceful lakeside setting provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable Maine getaway.
Other Things to Note:
• Pets: Pets are permitted with prior approval and payment of the pet fee(s). Please inform us promptly upon booking about the type, age, and name(s) of pet(s). Pet fee is $50 per pet per night. For Airbnb bookings, please note that the pet fee is not included in the total amount paid at booking; it will be collected separately after the reservation is confirmed.
• There is a $25 fee for any lost or unreturned keys.
• Smoking: all Lexvest properties are smoke-free. To respect the homeowner and other guests, smoking is strictly prohibited inside all buildings and within 50 yards of buildings and/or outdoor amenities. If you smoke, we reserve the right to charge a $1,000 smoke remediation fee.
• Parties + Gatherings: due to local community rules and guidelines set by the owner, parties and gatherings with guests in excess of the maximum guest count are prohibited at this property. We cannot accommodate weddings, or any events with outdoor music, catering, excessive alcohol, etc. Any party or gathering is grounds for immediate termination of your stay and removal from the property with no refund.
• Drones and fireworks are prohibited on property.
• Cleaning: the property is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival. For longer stays, we require professional cleaning by our housekeepers every 2 weeks; guests can arrange and pay for this cleaning with the manager. Regardless of the length of stay, we reserve the right to assess fines for excessive cleaning, trash removal, and property damage.
• Rental Agreement: to ensure a safe and comfortable stay, the owners of this property require that all guests sign a Rental Agreement that clearly sets forth the terms and conditions of your stay. We send the Rental Agreement with your booking confirmation and we require your signature within 24 hours; we reserve the right to cancel your booking with a 15% cancellation fee if we do not receive a signed agreement.
• Guest Count: please reserve the property for the actual number of guests in your party; no additional guests are permitted without host approval. Guests may not sublet the property.
• No refunds: while we make every effort to ensure that the property and all amenities are available to guests during their stay, we make no guarantees and we do not refund guests for unavailable amenities; utility outages; weather, etc. We advise guests to exercise caution in inclement weather. Guests bear all responsibility for their safety and ability to access the property.
• Damage Waiver: to protect the property and its contents, we require guests to purchase an accidental damage waiver with $59 of coverage. Please report any damage immediately to us to avoid charges or responsibility for damage. Guests are responsible for any intentional damage, removal of items from the property, and any damage not covered by the Damage Waiver.
• This property requires a security deposit of $500, which will be held on check-in date and automatically released 1 day after checkout, provided no damage is found and all house rules are followed.
• Early Check-in / Late Check-out: during the busy summer season, it can be difficult to accommodate early check-in or late check-out. If you are interested in arriving early or departing late, please contact us in advice. If we are able to assist, we reserve the right to charge a small fee, which helps us recoup the cost of rescheduling cleaners.
We urge guests to pay close attention when enjoying nature, weather can change quickly and wild animals can be surprising. Because temperatures in the mountains can fluctuate widely, even in the height of summer, we recommend packing sweaters and light, cold-weather gear just in case. Depending on the activities you plan, we recommend packing hiking, running, swimming, horseback riding, and/or running gear. We also recommend that guests consider spraying clothes with Permethrin when walking outside, to help avoid ticks. In winter we recommend guests pack several layers of warm clothing and ensure that their vehicles are ready for potential snowfall. For other clothing, most all venues around are very casual.
