The place was clean and neat. The kitchen could use some new cookware The biggest concern was the stairs. There was no handrail. We are older we chose this place for quiet and solitude. Being between 66 - 75 the stairs were a challenge, especially with bags and groceries. There was also a scorpion in the bed blanket. Glad I was wearing thick socks. The view was great, and it was very quiet. All and all we got what we went for. Peace, quiet and beauty.

Another Great Stay!

This was our 2nd stay! Great location with beautiful views. House is clean and has just about everything you need. HEB and places to eat out within 20mins of the house. Can be in Gruene within 25mins or San Antonio or Austin within a little over an hour. Highly recommend this location!

Quick getaway

The house is as advertised and the view is amazing. It’s in a very safe neighborhood and close to many little towns for day trips!

A pool with a view

This house had everything we needed for a little weekend getaway. We didn't cook much while we were there but did notice the kitchen was fully equiped. Great place to stay while visiting canyon lake.

Great vacation rental

We had a wonderful stay at the Onyx Oasis! The house is open but still cozy. The views are amazing and can be enjoyed from inside or outside. We loved hangout by the fire pit in the evening enjoying wine and the views as the sun went down. The sunrise every morning was also a treat. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the beds were comfortable. We Will definitely stay again!

That view!

This house and view are everything the photos show it to be. We were so pleased with the location. Kids loved it and so did the adults. We will definitely be back and recommending this location to our friends and family. House was very clean, beds were decent and kitchen had the basics. Couldn't be more happy with pur stay!

Amazing View

We had a wonderful time with the family. Everything was immaculate and perfectly equipped. The only issue was the master bed was to firm for my liking, but views definitely made up for that. We loved watching the deer around the neighborhood we would definitely rent again.

Wonderful stay

We just returned from a family Spring Break in Hill Country and a stay at the Onyx Oasis. It was fantastic. The photos and the listing are perfectly accurate and the house was great for our family. The only critique is that a few basics were lacking; specifically, there was only one extra/full role of toilet paper and we only found one spoon (and silverware was limited). A little extra effort on those would've made a great stay even better!

Perfect Getaway Place

House was just as described. Looked brand new. View and pool were perfect! Would definitely stay here again. Our biggest issue were the beds and couch. They are very hard and uncomfortable. I recommend that they either get new mattresses or purchase egg crates or mattress pads to help provide some cushion. Step up to deck to get in pool could use extra step but we made do. Otherwise our stay was perfect! I did have to reach out to property manager via text to get entry code; however, they were very prompt and accommodating. AC works great, water pressure was great and good temps, and house was very clean. Plenty of cooking pots & pans as well as cooking utensils but no silverware was available. You will have to use your subscriptions to stream movies or tv which is normal nowadays. There is Freevee available without subscription. Again, great house, incredible view and refreshing pool. Hope to stay here again!

Finish the construction - and it would be a "10"

The property had some great "extras" (small pool, deck, large TV etc.). But there are serious safety issues that need to be resolved if anyone with children under 10, or adults over 50 are going to be safe.First - please finish the outdoor lighting on the steps from parking the car (uphill) into the house. There are conduits for two more sets of lights - please put them in, the stairs / parking lot are too dark to be safe.Second - both showers (no tubs in bath rooms) have no grab bar on wall, or shower door, yet a completely smooth acrylic shower bottom that tilts slightly towards a wall. There is also no rubber mat or any mat one can put on the shower floor so one does not immediately slip on the smooth bottom once water gets on the shower floor. Seriously - there needs to be at least a portable rubber mat to put on the smooth, slick shower bottom - if you can't put a grab bar on the shower door or i the shower.Third - the entire flooring is concrete on a slab. The surface is very slick if wet. Yet both bathrooms only give you a tiny 18" x 24" rugs (one tiny one under the vanity, the other outside the shower). Again - huge safety concern for slipping with wet feet. so please - upgrade the size of your bath rugs for safety.Other issues:- finish the indoor light switch, fan wiring. Dead switches on the wall, - outdoor furniture needs new cushions, deck needs something (dark grey, splintery wood) on it next to pool.Could go on - just finish the place.

The concrete flooring, as well as the overall design of the home—including bathroom finishes—are accurately reflected in the listing photos on the booking platform so guests can know what to expect ahead of time. For shower safety, we provide a towel mat outside the shower as well as a portable non-slip mat. These are included specifically to help prevent slipping. To date, none of our previous guests have mentioned concerns regarding the showers or flooring, but we appreciate your feedback and take safety seriously. Additionally, if any of these issues had been brought to our attention during your stay, we would have been happy to send a team member over to assist or provide any additional accommodations to ensure your comfort. As for the outdoor lighting and furnishings, improvements are ongoing, and your input is helpful as we continue to enhance the space. Thank you again for your comments—we’re always striving to create a better experience for our guests.

Great views, furniture falls short

This home has a great view from it's deck and pool area. New construction, open concept and lots of windows are all great. Management company is very responsive and helpful. Sadly the home is furnished with cheap ikea furniture that feels temporary and is uncomfortable.
