We’ve stayed here a few times over the years when we come out to visit our boys at Westminster. There are usually 4-5 moms in the group and there’s plenty of space every time and we love that it’s a working farm. The boys love visiting and using the hot tub and having the moms cook dinner and breakfast as a break from the dorms. Communication with the host is always easy and quick and the property is fantastic!

At check in there was somethings missed in the kitchen by the cleaner. I messaged the host and he was very apologetic and gave us a small refund. The property is beautiful, We enjoyed the animals, the game room, the fire pit, hot tub,etc! We would go back here for future vacations!

This was out third stay at Dr. Kaul's Farm, a wonderfully peaceful place. The kitchen has been upgraded since our last stay, and it's a great improvement! We enjoy just sitting on the front porch watching the pond--we saw multiple ospreys and Great Herons, along with a Bald Eagle this stay. This is a perfect place to unplug and unwind!

We love the farmhouse!

Our family has stayed here three years in a row now, and we love it so much that we keep coming back. The pond with the ducks and geese is one of our favorite features.

Family retreat

Fun! Loved the animals, walks around the farm, and relaxed in the rocking chairs on the huge porch. We visit surrounding towns and enjoyed a Westminster College function.

Absolutely Beautiful Farm with Farmhouse

We were so pleasantly surprised to see how beautiful this property is,with the well furnished large farmhouse and a pond, animals to watch, lots of grass for kids to run in, lots of kid-friendly entertainment. The surrounding farms are just as breathtaking;many are Amish. What a lovely retreat!!

We adore this little farm. It is so peaceful and beautiful, with sunset colors reflected in the pond - which you can see from the front porch! It is heaven. The house itself is very nice and up to date, perfect for a large family with children. There’s even a third floor loft filled with toys for the kids. Overall a rustic and idyllic place. Thank you!!!

Family get together

We love it there. Very peaceful! Love checking out the farm animals. Had a fire 2 nights! We cleated our 4 September birthdays. Loved visiting Volant!

Great Experience

This house was a perfect place to stay. It was fully equipped with everything that we needed and more. Linens were provided. The house is fully renovated, well maintained, and clean. The barn was amazing with games that kept the children busy for hours. The farm was very charming and welcoming. I would definitely book this house again!

Excellent experience!!

We came together for a family reunion. The house was perfect. The kids loved the animals, the paddle boat etc. 2 baby goats had just been born. What a beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch each morning. Close to the outlet mall, restaurants etc. My family and I are from that area. We will be renting the home again!! Thank you so much for the use of your lovely farm and everything that went with it!

Peaceful Farm

This is a lovely western Pennsylvania farm that feels like you are very far away from the hustle and bustle, but for our destination of Grove City, it was a perfect distance. Only 30 - 40 minutes from the northern Pittsburgh suburbs. The rooms are well appointed, and the kitchen has everything you could ask for. The property is really quite beautiful. My only issue is that the water pressure in the second floor bathrooms is insufficient for showering if someone else is using the water on the first floor. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Quiet stay in a beautiful property

This property was beautiful. The location was extremely quiet. We enjoyed our stay quite a bit. There were some things that should be attended too, for example a several lights in the house didn't work. The game room games were missing pieces (like pool balls and inflated basketballs.). There were cameras indoors facing the front door, and also in the basement. I'm not sure if these were on or not, but it was a little uncomfortable to have them in the main entry as it was the dining area. The hot tub was nice and clean and warm. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Birthday Gathering

Property and accomodations far exceeded what shows in listing photos. We often did not want to leave the property to tour around the surrounding areas. My grand daughters became acquainted with the Amish way of life as this is a working farm. Amish workers cut hay one day and one day was blueberry picking day for Amish women. We all loved watching the animals. The girls became especially attached to "Mama" duck who was lovingly guarding and tending to her nest of eggs. We did not want to leave.

Wonderful Home Away from Home

Where to start? Well, from the moment I first saw the listing for this wonderful place, I admit I was hooked. Upon arrival, we could see that this farm far surpassed our expectations for a peaceful getaway and a much-needed alternative to our normal camping arrangements for a nearby week-long event. The amenities listed (that we were initially searching for) – air conditioning, laundry, full kitchen – were outweighed by the home itself, which was lovely and spacious. Each room had its own personality, and the grounds were so beautiful to walk each day that we stayed. I loved that this was a working farm. I am retired and work part-time at a small family-owned farm. Seeing the farm being worked and all the animals being taken care of made me miss my time away from our animals a little less. Sitting on the porch just listening to the distant clop-clop of the passing horse-drawn wagons as we sipped our teas was a peaceful respite. The jacuzzi in the spring house – which had not been a part of our original lodging search – quickly became a wonderful way to relax after a hard day’s work. The caretakers were friendly, attentive, and very responsive. And, after we had left a few items behind, the hosts (also very responsive) were able to return them to us shortly thereafter. Thank you so much for your hospitality! We cannot recommend this place enough!

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting family for our annual reunion. The house was more than what we could have hoped for. The rooms were surprising large. The beds were comfy and plentiful and bathrooms were all nice. The kitchen was big enough for a couple of us to be in there preparing things with ease. The porch had comfy chairs for all 5 of us to be able sit and watch the world go buy. It is a farm so there were some spiders etc, but nothing unexpected in country living. Everyone was friendly and the animals were beyond entertaining. It was wonderful to unwind relax and unplug and just watch that ducks and geese and turkeys talk to one another! My daughter loved the tree swing and had plenty of room to run and play while giving the animals their space. She also loved the barn basement games and had a blast learning ping pong and pool. We've already booked our stay for next years family reunion and can't wait to return.

Down on the farm

Overall a very good experience. Some pesky ants on the kitchen counter were a bit frustrating. Appreciated owners troubleshooting Wi-Fi problem. Grandchildren had a great time!

Sorry Dennis! Getting good Internet with Wifi in Amish country side is difficult due to thousands of feet of cable and it has been tripped by previous guests few times in last 5 years probably trying to improve the signals. Leaving food bits by children and guests is the major cause of ants , we keep trying to have pest control twice a year and many baits. We avoid serious pesticide spraying as it is an organic farm. As it trickles into the pond and plants. We will keep inventing methods which are safe for environment. Thanks
