Our family of nine spent 7 days here and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The house was lovely and perfectly arranged for hanging out and visiting. The kitchen was large and had every thing you could possibly need to prepare meals. The open concept was wonderful and we never felt crowded.The deck was amazing and we spent a lot of time out there enjoying the view. It has it's own private walkover and another small deck right at the ocean . Debbie and Ann were there to solve any problems or questions you may have.We would not hesitate to recommend and hope to return. The only Con is that you eventually have to pack up and leave.This is a good one!!!

We loved the house but it is not "beachfront". It is second row which was a bit of a disappointment. The loft was small and 3 of the 5 single beds were trundle beds which when pulled out left very little room. The deck at the end of the walkover was great. We would go back to this place.

Debbie and family were very polite helpful the house was clean spacious I have stay at 4 different place in Freeport and her house was a favorite their is a private walk way they had chair umbrellas . deck at the end of walkway

Relaxing Texas Getaway

We loved the house, the view, the beach, really just about everything. Debbie and Ken were such kind and thoughtful hosts. Everything was clean and comfortable and decorated just right for that sweet beach vacation vibe without being overdone. The furniture was perfect for lounging around together, and there is plenty of room in the kitchen for everyone to gather around and help prepare and enjoy meals. We loved the deck and also appreciated the small deck at the end of the walkover when we wanted to enjoy the water but not get sandy. We stayed for a week and were sad to leave! It’s so nice to have a place in Texas like this so we can spend more time relaxing and less time on the road. Surfside may just be our new favorite.

Lovely home away from home

Wonderful communication from host Ann, and even a delightful pie in the fridge when we arrived! We celebrated my mothers 75th birthday and had a variety of young and old staying this trip. The private walkover, being at the end of a street in this small subdivision, and all the amenities made this an excellent location. Nice and cool inside, and wonderful breezy balcony with variety of seating options. Wonderful master suite for my parents and lots of sleeping options for all of our families.

Spring Break 2025

This is an excellent location if you love your own private slice of the beach. The home is nice and open for your family to share time together and the private boardwalk / dock directly to the beach is wonderful. The hosts have many nice chairs and umbrellas to enhance your beach experience. We travelled to Galveston and Sunshine beach to experience more but kept asking ourselves - why did we venture away from our perfect setup. Debbie and Ann were super-responsive, friendly, and helpful. I would recommend this to all beach-lovers wanting a great time with their family!

Great Beach House on the Gulf of Mexico

This is a great comfortable beach house for families of all ages. We are in our late 80's and had family as young as our two great grands 1and 3 years old. It's right on the beach with a great walkway that takes you right to the beach. They have chairs and umbrellas for you to use. We have rented many vacation rentals over the years and Debbie and Ken are the best hosts we have ever encountered. They are responsive to any little thing you mention you would like to have. The washer quit working just before our grandkids arrived with two little ones.The service man had to order a part. Within a couple of days the part was available and he installed it on a Sunday. I have to tell you about Ann who is Debbie's aunt. She makes the best cakes and pies we have ever had. She also makes other great dishes such as the lasagna and vegetable soup she made for us. When we arrived Debbie had Ann deliver one of her key lime pies, one of the best we have ever had. We ordered a second one before we left. Ann has a book at the house with all the things she will make and deliver.We highly recommend this beach house for a great relaxing time.

Houston Reagion Family Reunion

We shared an amazing time with my wife's aunt, uncle, cousins and their adult children. The beach access was perfect to walk beach and do a little shore line fishing. The meals and time we shared were amazing with plenty of parking and room for everyone to enjoy each others company aseither in the house or on the deck. Beautiful sunrises each morning with coffee and quiet conversations. What an amazing experience!!

Great house with an amazing view!

The house was extremely clean when we arrived. Communication with the host was EXCELLENT and any time I had a question she would respond promptly. The house has its own private board walk to the beach. And what I really appreciated the most was the host allowed us to check in whenever we wanted to and stay as late as we wanted on our check out date.

Amazing beach house

My family and I had a wonderful time at this beach house. It is beautiful inside and out. Plenty of deck furniture and indoor seating. There was plenty of room in the house. The kitchen is massive and very well stocked. Everything was in great condition. The hosts are wonderful and sent us a delicious pie. They were responsive and very kind. Perfect place for a beach vacation.

Amazing beach house

House was as described…very clean, comfortable, and fit our families needs. Host was amazing as well as Ann who made wonderful sweets for us. We enjoyed our stay and made wonderful memories.

Fantastic getaway

We recently returned from a weekend getaway at a beach house, and it was fantastic! The house was spacious enough for our family and had all the amenities we needed. Being just a short walk from the beach was perfect, especially with our little ones. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking beach view from our deck. Debbie, our host, was wonderful and very responsive. Plus, she surprised us with a delicious key lime pie! We loved every moment and would definitely book again.

Quiet, Private Rental with lots of Space and Great Deck!

Great rental. The bedrooms are spread out, which gives renters more privacy. The kitchen is huge and has lots of counter space. Very comfortable furniture. Loved spending time on the deck. Great view of the ocean from enough distance that you don't have the traffic and noise from people on the beach, but quick easy access over the walkway to the water. Would definitely rent again.

This place stole our hearts

This was one of our most favorite family vacations EVER. The owner was incredible and amazing hospitality as she had an entire homemade key lime pie waiting for us. It was the best pie I have ever had. Thank you, Desserts by Ann, (check out her FB page)! The boardwalk was beautiful and the sunsets exceptional. It was quiet during the week and then at night, some have bonfires on the beach. On the weekend, it got busy with visitors and it was fun - they even had an ice cream truck driving up and down the beach. You can catch some fish from the beach - say hello to Woody who frequent fishes there. They had a skimboard and some boogie boards for the kids to use. Really fun waves and warm water when we went. We had some strong winds one evening and then the next day, treasures of shells covered the beach. Check out Surfside Loco (just down the road) for the best tamales. Galveston was a short drive and so much to see and do! Be sure to stop at Shrimp N Stuff for the best fresh seafood and then just down the road visit Cordray Drug Store for the rolled ice cream! Texas was so friendly. We'll be back someday. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Beautiful beachouse

This was a fantastic house....great location, very clean, plenty of room, fully equipped kitchen with newer appliances. From the deck, and from inside the house on the beach side, there's an unobstructed view of the Gulf. It's set back a bit off the beach strip, which gives you a buffer from the action of the beach when you want a more quiet escape. The house also has its own private walkover to the beach which is very convenient. I also recommend ordering from the amazing Ann (her menu is on the kitchen counter) who bakes the most wonderful desserts as well as entire meals if you don't feel like cooking on your vacation. This was a really nice treat for us and we will order her food and desserts every time we return. The owners are exactly the kind of folks you want to be your hosts, friendly and helpful, but also give you your space. Thank you Debbie and Ken for a great vacation! :-)
