Miss Lazy Blue, a beautiful newly renovated cottage, is located right on the clean and stunning beautiful Smith Lake, with very few steps to the water. This home boasts the most beautiful cottage core aesthetics. Upon entering the timeless Dutch Door, this two-bedroom one bath home, immediately captivates you with her gracious and welcoming atmosphere. Simple yet very charming. From the soft linens, the views of water, the screened porch, the comfortable Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake, your stay at Miss Lazy Blue will be unforgettable.
This small quaint Smith Lake cottage is the perfect place for an anniversary getaway, couples retreat, or a mother daughter / father son looking to escape the every day routine of life. Located right on the water, you can relax, read a book, enjoy kayaking, fishing, swimming, or just laying out on the dock.
This lovely home is equipped with everything needed to cook both inside or out having a duel fuel Hallman Range in the kitchen and a charcoal grill (charcoal provided) and a Blackstone outside on the deck. The cozy sleeping arrangements are conformed to sleep a total of 4 people. One room having a queen mattress, the other having two twins. The one full bath provides a walk in shower with all the soap/ shampoo needed for your stay. Sunscreen is also provided for you during your stay.
We also offer boat excursions to help make your visit most enjoyable. If you are interested in a boat tour, dinner by boat, or learning to surf please include in your message.

Beautiful home. Owner gave easy instructions and had everything we needed. Lake is stunning and quiet except for the occasional fisherman. We enjoyed our relaxing and comfortable stay. Would come back again anytime.

We stayed here early June. It was fantastic, quiet space, easy access to dock and water. Fire pit looking at the lake made for peaceful evenings. The lake is very clear and clean. We also rented a boat for a day to explore more of the lake. Good location and lot!

We stayed at Miss lazy blue for our 10 year anniversary and could not have enjoyed it more!! This little cottage was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed! My favorite spot was the screened in porch. It was so cozy and peaceful! The owner was great at communicating and made sure we had absolutely everything we would need to make our trip enjoyable. We will be back!

Relaxing Escape
Miss Lazy Blue is a perfect couple's retreat for a weekend away. This cabin is beautifully restored, and the dock is in excellent condition for a day on the lake. Our second time here, and I'm sure it won't be the last.

My family and I absolutely loved this property. Super relaxing and cozy. Great access to the lake. Couldn’t ask for better support and communication with the owner. Will absolutely return!

Anniversary Trip
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend anniversary trip. It was perfect for the two of us! Great communication with host! Any questions we had she answered immediately. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Cottage
Miss Lazy Blue was our perfect get-a-way. The interior was spotless and decor was comfy and had everything you could need. The screened porch overlooking the lake was my favorite spot for relaxing.

Absolutely amazing weekend!
Miss Lazy Blue and Jennifer (hostess) made a weekend get-a-way nothing short of perfect! The beautiful home and all lakeside amenities allowed us to have a very cozy and relaxing experience. We took full advantage of the grill, blackstone, firepits, kayaks, boat dock, etc. I also cannot say enough about Jennifer and how accommodating she was for us. We will definitely be looking forward to staying here again!

Idyllic Getaway
Our recent stay at Miss Lazy Blue was nothing short of lakeside perfection. Upon entry to this impeccably decorated getaway, you are immediately at ease, ready to sip sweet tea from a Mason jar on the porch swing. The home not only is visibly idyllic, it is also equipped with everything needed for a perfect vacation. Books live in every corner and perch, the beds are comfy, and the screened-in porch and dock offer hours of escape. We enjoyed our time immensely and we are already planning our next trip!

Love Miss Lazy Blue!
What a beautiful lake cottage! Perfect furnishings & decor, everything you could possibly need or want in the kitchen, so many wonderful places to sit, relax, & enjoy the lake, a fantastic selection of books to read, and Jennifer went above and beyond to ensure our 35th anniversary was a special one! We cannot say enough about our time at Miss Lazy Blue and we will most definitely be back! Thank you & blessings to you, Jennifer!

Quick Getaway
We wanted to spend a few days exploring Smith Lake, and Miss Lazy Blue was perfect for doing just that. Conveniently located near the Trident Marina, this wonderfully restored cabin provided us the perfect opportunity to explore the many aspects of the lake. The accommodations were both comfortable and clean. We were welcomed by our hosts with a complimentary bottle of wine, cheese and crackers. Nice touch! We highly recommend this property, and we anticipate returning again...and again!

Lake life at its best!
What a delightful and charming cottage on Smith Lake. The location is ideal, and you are just steps away from the lake. A highlight of our stay was getting out on the water in the provided kayaks!
Jennifer was an awesome host. She was available, prompt, and efficient with answers to any of our questions.
The hosts have done a fantastic job with this cabin. It is so inviting, comfortable, and cozy. It would be perfect for any season of the year, so I know we will be back to Miss Lazy Blue for another relaxing getaway.

Adorable Upscale Cabin
This sweet place was perfect for our getaway! Everything was very clean and our host had thought of every touch we might need including bath products and towels. The decks (one screened and one open for sunning and another down by the boat house) are fabulous with comfortable seating, an oversized swing, grill, firepit, picnic table and overhead fan.
This little house was so nice that we had to make ourselves come inside to watch SEC football!

Miss Lazy Blue stole my heart ❤️
Absolutely beautiful home on the most peaceful lake .
We enjoyed every minute sitting on the porch , swinging and on the dock. The kitchen is stocked with everything one could need.
The decor is charming and inviting . It has been one of the most peaceful places I have visited . The host went above and beyond and her attention to detail is what really drew me in . It was a truly lovely home and I can’t wait to go back again .

Slice of paradise
My husband and I drove all the way from Colorado to stay at Miss lazy blue cottage. He has always wanted to fish for bass at Lewis Smith Lake and Guntersville lake, which are only an hour apart. This cottage was so adorable and in the most perfect pristine spot on the lake. he caught 35 striped bass on Lewis Smith Lake and a 6.8 lb largemouth bass on Guntersville. I enjoyed relaxing days reading on the deck overlooking the water and on the screened in porch enjoying the spring breezes. The house is exactly as pictured and the hosts were so accommodating. We had an absolutely wonderful time. For a small number of people Miss lazy blue cottage is your perfect getaway spot.

Miss Lazy Blue
Had the most amazing 40th Birthday trip, with my favorite people, at my most favorite place on earth. Miss Lazy Blue did not disappoint. The property that we had previously stayed at had sold and we were unable to book. So thankful we found this quaint little cottage that seems to hover over the coveted blue/green waters of “The Smith” as I call it! The roads leading to the property are in great shape and is super easy to find. GPS takes you right to it. The cottage is true to the listing, with all the amenities needed, and more. The screened in porch is perfect for early morning sitting with an incredible view. My wife enjoyed lounging on the comfy couch swing early in the morning while it was cool. The kids loved the outdoor shower. Oh, and Trident marina is literally a 5 minute boat ride if bringing a boat. It was a pleasure meeting the hosts. They were so down to earth and welcoming! Mrs. Jennifer was prompt with any questions and encouraged not to hesitate to reach out. Just had the best time, and the best experience. Just wasn’t long enough lol. I pray it’s not booked for our dates in May! Until next time Miss Lazy Blue! ✌

Lake views all around and close to water with lots of activities available, relaxing clean comfortable home. Enjoyed all areas from sunning on deck chairs, patio swing, comfy bed, gourmet kitchen, and grill and chill outside. Outdoor shower so cool and stone fire ring made nice fire with cozy lake views. Able to relax and enjoy privacy! Host always available! Highly recommend!
