Summary:
This dome, nestled in the heart of nature, is located not far from the Jacques-Cartier River. Just 30 minutes from the city and close to many resort attractions, it offers the perfect balance between an outdoor getaway and urban discoveries. Whether you want to visit Village Vacances Valcartier, embark on a rafting adventure, or stroll through the streets of Old Quebec, every day promises to be filled with memorable experiences.
The Space:
This cozy dome immerses you in a peaceful and relaxing natural environment. Thanks to its glass façade and skylight, you can enjoy a bright space where nature gently becomes part of the interior. Whether you are relaxing in the comfort of the dome or enjoying your private terrace, every moment invites you to unwind.
The dome can accommodate up to 4 guests and features a queen-size bed as well as a double sofa bed.
To prepare a small meal, you can use the portable BBQ and propane stove. You must bring your own propane bottle (small 16 oz Coleman-style). All food must be cooked outdoors, as open flames are strictly prohibited inside.
For cooking, a propane stove, portable propane barbecue, cooking equipment (utensils, plates, pots, etc.), and drinking water are provided. You will need to bring your own cooler for food storage, as there is no refrigerator. We also recommend bringing a flashlight for getting around in the evening.
The dome has limited electricity powered by solar energy, allowing you to use the lights and charge your cell phones.
Although the dome is equipped with an automatic indoor fireplace, we recommend bringing a pair of sandals or slippers as well as warm clothing for inside the dome to make your stay more comfortable.
Guest Access:
You will have access to the sanitary block, located just a short walk away.
In summer, the river is accessible for swimming and fishing.
A barbecue station has been set up near the sanitary block. This space is primarily reserved for mini-chalet guests. However, other visitors may also use it, subject to availability.
Use of the barbecue station is permitted from May 1 to October 31 only.
Other Things to Note:
The dome is located on the Vallée Jeunesse site, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young people facing academic and/or social adjustment challenges. When you rent a dome, chalet, or house, you help support the organization’s mission: restoring hope to young people in need and helping them regain confidence in their abilities and their future!
Like a resort, the Vallée Jeunesse site features several other houses and chalets, gathering areas, access to the Jacques-Cartier River, and canoe rentals for you to enjoy.
