Three stars for this property - probably two and a half if I could.First: the good. It is spacious. A dozen people could sleep here, as long as beds are shared. The beds are reasonably comfortable, and linens and towels are fine. None of the bedrooms has a single chair. The location is good; quiet, but with easy access to Traverse City and various attractions. It was clean. The rest: 1) Would have been good to know Autumn Lane is a half mile one lane rocky dirt road. A car with low clearance could have a problem. At a minimum, you'll need a car wash after driving this dusty trail.2) Jacuzzi is prominently advertised. Technically true. It's only a bathtub tucked into a dark corner of the master bedroom. 3) Sauna: similar story. It's 3 feet wide in the master bathroom; 2 people fit, 3 might squeeze. If the implication is an amenity for communal relaxation, this is not it.4) Ragged grounds, firepit in the back, with Adirondack chairs. But no firewood. When I inquired, was told that firewood is not provided. Perhaps the host believes fetching firewood is a vacation activity.5) Kitchen is underequipped with only basic pots and pans; no blender or food processer. Ice maker does not work. 6) Overall space is tired and worn. 7) Checkout time on VRBO site is 11AM, but host demanded 10AM via email messages - not good.Impression: this property overpromises and underdelivers; maybe a value proposition for a large group. For polish or genuine amenities, look elsewhere.
