New Listing!! Dolphin Watch-3 Bedroom Beach Front on North Captiva

Our house is located directly on the beach! We are located on the northeast side of the island (the bay side just south of Dolphin Beach) with a beautiful sandy beach view overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. This side of the island is a hidden gem and with the small number of houses it makes our street and house very private and quiet. Not only does our 3-bedroom beach house boast breathtaking views of the ocean, but steps from the house is also an immaculate shallow swimming beach. It is ideal for families and small children. We have beach chairs and plenty of sand toys. Watch spectacular sunrises from the porch as well as spot dolphins swimming almost every day. Climb up to our crows nest to get a panoramic view of the island. Take out our double kayak and 2 paddle boards out to the sandbar or explore around the island. You will need to rent a golf cart a one is not provided for you to use as there are no cars on our island, just sandy roads, bikes, and golf carts permitted. If you are wanting to explore-head to the south end of the island where there are serene nature trails in the Preserve with miles of undeveloped land and beaches. Also enjoy our dock for excellent fishing. There are also nearby boat slips that we can recommend. Included in your stay is an Island Club Membership, which offers (as available) bicycles, kayaks, & paddle board use, 2 swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball court, and other amenities.

Our house includes 3 bedrooms. 1 queen bedroom overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. Bedroom 2 is along the side of the house and has a full bed (plus trundle) and large windows. The 3rd bedroom (technically the master) has a queen bed with a slider to the back patio and an attached bathroom with a shower. Our kitchen, dining room, and living room are all one open space. This opens up to the screened in patio. Through the kitchen you can access the washer/dryer.

Prior to your arrival, will send you information about all the logistics of traveling to a barrier island. Our family used to live full time on the island, so we have lots of experience and are happy to answer any questions you may have a boat. Please note checkin and checkout times are not flexible due to the logistics of turnover schedule. If you arrive early or depart later you’re welcome to use Island Club amenities, however, we can’t accommodate early check ins or late checkouts.

Wonderful Spot

Perfect spot for family that loves the shore. The children were enthralled with the beach and dolphins. Adults enjoyed sitting and making memories.

Family house

Great place for families with shallow beach. Overall stay was great. Lots of dolphins, shells and star fish. Island is so relaxing. Easy to communicate. Golf cart had some issues that owner is going to work on.

Little slice of paradise

I think I'll use the word "perfect" to describe our stay. Our group consisted of 4 people, age ranging from 4 to 72 and accommodations were perfect for all. Unbelievable views and location. The photos say it all. Just GO!

North Captiva

Spring Break trip with the kids. The house has a great view and you can see every sunrise if you are up. You can watch the boats, dolphin, and manatee swim right by in the clear waters just steps away from the house. The house is a little older but very comfortable and in one of the best locations on the island. It is well appointed for cooking, living etc.

Anniversary trip

The location of this house resonated with us - outside the main areas, had everything we wanted, and was in close proximity to the beach with thousands of shells. Kitty communicated clearly with us and gave us a number of recommendations for spending time on north captiva. We plan to be back.

A beautiful, well appointed property! Super clean and well kept; especially impressive for a beach house. We were able to walk around barefoot without concern! The location is prime and the views are spectacular. All of the furniture, inside and out, was both comfortable and functional. Loads of perks to keep you entertained - kayaks, SUP, board games, ability to stream, a Bluetooth speaker. Kitchen was well stocked with essential mini appliances and spices. Also, the photos don't currently reflect it, but the kitchen has been redone recently and looks great. The washer and dryer worked well.The host, Kitty, was very communicative and helped us make arrangements for transport to and from the ferry. She also helped us with find someone to rent a 6 seater golf cart from, since the only listed rental company on the island didn't offer one.I would absolutely recommend staying at Dolphin Watch for some rest and relaxation!

amazing in every way!

First of all the house is amazing, well equipped, very clean, comfortable and the location is one of the best on the island! From the time we started our day watching the sunrise with coffee on the screened patio to cocktails on the crows deck at sunset, our days were filled with great experiences. Dolphins passing by each day, great fishing along the beach, exploring the shallow water for starfish, conchs, small crabs......a couple of stingrays! Also, a short cart drive to the Gulf side for long walks along the beach and some surf fishing, every day was wonderful.......so much that we have already booked our dates for 2026!

Gorgeous waterfront property

The house is perfectly situated right on the beach on North Captiva island. Beautiful views of the water are offered in the master bedroom, screened in porch and main living area, from its Adirondack chairs on the deck, and from the rooftop lockout. Kitty offered very helpful guidance on the logistics of the island, the ferry, grocery delivery and restaurants and Sherman, the property manager was helpful and friendly. It was a perfectly beautiful, peaceful beach vacation.

Dolphin Watch

Our experience at Dolphin Watch was wonderful, peaceful, private. It is on a rare corner lot so the views were incredible. Perfect place to watch the sunrise—and if you love dolphins, it is the place to be! We had countless sightings. 🐬🐬🐬 The house itself was very nice, clean and comfortable for our family of four. Lastly, Kitty was extremely responsive to all of our questions/needs! We will definitely book again next year!

We didn't want to leave. We had the mixed bag of weather during our stay and this home was the perfect place to be. The bayside honestly is better, because if you get rough weather you still have calmer water for swimming, kayaking and exploring. The house and property itself are both beautiful and pictures don't do them justice. I walked the point at least once a day. It was the ultimate feeling of island relaxation. We had everything we needed. Great window views through the home, well stocked kitchen, and the screened porch was great for buggy evenings. The paddleboard and kayaks were constant fun. There's so much to see. There was great fishing right out on the bay, shelling, and easy golf cart (rented) ride to beach adventuring, and awesome views through the home. There's nothing quite like watching pelicans and the water right out of your kitchen, living room, and bedroom windows. Even when we had rain it was still fun with books, games, and views galore. Kitty is a great host and promptly answered all of of questions as we were newbies to the island. I really hate to rate this home so highly because we want to go back and don't want it to be booked up!

Dolphin Watch is true to its name!

The house is in a great location with a private beach and beautiful views. There is a shared dock next to it so you can fish from there or from the shoreline. The water is calmer on the sound side of the island making getting in the water easy. You will enjoy beautiful sunrises and watching dolphins, manatees and more! The home has plenty of amenities, including a screened porch overlooking the water. It was clean with comfortable beds, furniture & pretty decor. I rated it 4 stars for a couple of issues with the carts not working well but Kitty was quick to get them fixed. The mechanic told us how to operate the older cart to make it run a bit faster (double pump the gas) but it still had problems going in reverse. The blue cart was repaired but the steering is a little tricky. The water in the house starts but within a couple of minutes it stops. Under a minute later, you hear something kick in and it will run again uninterrupted. Once we figured it out, it wasn’t a problem, so we didn’t report it to Kitty since it must be the type of water system in the house. The grill has to be started with a lighter, the automatic starter doesn’t work. Again, not a big deal, just take a lighter downstairs to light it. There was one in the cabinet but you may need to bring one in case it runs out.We enjoyed our stay and would rent this home again. Kitty is very kind and always quick to respond to any inquiries.
