EN NY UDSIGT - Rummelig tilpasset bjælkehytte! Beliggende på næsten 3 skovklædte hektar med en skråt gård for børn at lege. Adgangen til denne kabine er en brolagt indkørsel. Denne eksklusive bjælkehytte har hvælvet stue, stenpejs og trægulve. Det overordnede niveau har en rummelig stue med katedralloft og vinduer fra top til bund med 2 sæt franske døre, der fører ud til det omsluttede overdækkede dæk. En sten, gas pejs, satellit-tv og siddepladser. Spisesalen har 10 komfortabelt plads. Køkkenet er fuldt udstyret med opvaskemaskine, ismaskine, mikroovn, kaffemaskine, espressomaskine, kaffemølle, brødrister, mixer, blender og andre små apparater. Der er et soveværelse på hovedniveau med queensize-seng og satellit-tv, gratis wifi. Der er et komplet bad på dette niveau. Det overdækkede wrap deck har terrasseborde og polstrede sæder og en sving for at nyde bjergbrisen, fjerne lyde fra New River på tværs af vejen og bjergene.

Det øverste niveau tilbyder master suite med kingsize-seng, satellit-tv / video / DVD. Master bad ud soveværelset og har også adgang til åben hems med opholdsområde.

Det lavere niveau har en stor familie / spillerum med sofaer, Vermont Casting gas-logs, 32 "satellit-tv med video / DVD. Hele familien kan nyde bordet Foosball, skak og brikker. Flere film og spil vil tilføje familieunderholdningen. Fuld badeværelse, soveværelse med queensize-seng og et andet soveværelse med 2 tvillinger og 1 fuld. Den nederste gårdhave har 6-personers boblebad med mange jetfly og vandfald. Hele familien vil nyde den udendørs pejs til at lave Smores 'eller stege hotdogs. Bare en halv mil ned ad vejen er en lavvandsbro for nem, offentlig adgang til floden til svømning, fiskeri og slanger.

The house was exactly what we needed for our weekend near West Jefferson. The view overlooking the river was beautiful. Everything with the house was in great order as we expected.

Awesome Family Getaway

The cabin was nice and located fairly close to downtown West Jefferson. Very close to New River Access point which was nice. We had a great time.

Great cabin!

Being across the road from the river, for views and sounds, just a short drive to access the river for swimming and fishing, and just minutes away from West Jefferson for dining, shopping and sight seeing, the location of this cabin is great. Also, the large 3 level cabin, with full wrap around deck and sloping grassy yard, allows for plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy! We hope you will come back and stay again! Good location

Good place for a get-a-way. TVs could use an upgrade but no big deal. Excluded but not too far from downtown Jefferson. Would stay again.

Lovely Stay at a roomy, yet cozy Mountain Home

We really enjoyed our stay. There were 6 of us and we had our privacy, yet it felt like a cozy, comfortable, homey cabin. It is just beautiful. Sitting on the porch and hearing the New River is an added bonus that I didn't expect. Such a serene location. Thank you for helping us enjoy our vacation.

Big porch and a hot tub!

A beautiful home with lots of natural wood, quite comfortable for 10 people! Enjoyed sitting on the porch and relaxing in the hot tub. Conveniently located for kayaking on the New River. The steep driveway was challenging for one of our cars. Would definitely consider coming back!

We appreciate your review because this custom log cabin is a great, relaxing place to spread out. The cabin is spacious and private lot has room to enjoy the yard. The total wrap around deck provides a nice place to enjoy the outdoors and sounds of the river nearby. Even though the driveway is not very long, due to the gravel incline we recommend front wheel drive or 4 wheel drive since rear wheel drive vehicles can have a harder time. Owner is may consider paving the driveway 2014. We look forward to you coming back to enjoy!

Great Cabin

Wood everywhere, 3 floors, bathroom on each, gas fireplaces on basement and 1st floor keep whole place cozy. We had 5 adults and 5 kids and it was a good fit. Kitchen is a little tight, but cathedral ceiling makes whole place feel big. Huge porch, hot tub, fire pit. Small kids loved hiking up the hills and rolling down. Paved approach road easy to navigate. It's a great place!

Great house…just needed a deeper cleaning.

The house was as listed with many good amenities, including great wrap-around porch and great location. All stairs had gates at the top to keep kids safe. There is a steep driveway, so be careful only during colder months. House was in good shape, but needed additional cleaning. Dust bunnies visible under some furnishings and some bedding needed more attention. I’d stay there again…may have been a fluke.

Birthday relaxing

Enjoyed everything about it except the bottom of the grill caught on fire and burned my birthday dinner up. 4 nice ribeyes and some sides. The grill was on low and the food was on the top rack. Periodically a shop vac is needed to clean all the drippings in the bottom of the grill. It didnt damper my spirits because i had my family and dogs with me. Couldnt find a phooseball or to play phooseball. I highly recommend the cabin and I will be back. Loved the sound of the water running in the river. It was peaceful and quiet.

Very dated furnishings worn & uncomfortable. TVs were a joke; vintage 1979 & didn’t work. Lamps falling apart as is the dishwasher, rollers broken. & made loud noises. Dark, low watt bulbs.. Towels old & worn- wood floors dirty .will not return- these are just some of the “highlights.”

We had a wonderful time!! Great for families!

We stayed at this beautiful cabin for 7 days and had a great time!! 5 adults & 4 kids and 2 dogs! Full house but had plenty room! There were enough beds for all of us! We absolutely loved the fact that the wrap around porch was gated all around so that our pooches could go out on the porch too and we didn't have to worry about them running off. Loved that the downstairs area had it's own little living room area where kids could hang out! The jacuzzi was clean and was a wonderful treat on those wintry days! We took in every minute of that firepit and made s'mores, talked, & gazed at the stars!! The kids had a great time playing outside as the property is private and big! You are on a hill but the kids managed just fine! As you can see, the amenities are wonderful! I would head the suggestion of a 4x4, but we had no issues with the steep driveway. The cabin was clean upon arrival and the Christmas decorations made it feel homey!! The queen bed downstairs was a bit stiff for my liking ... but I sleep on memory foam at home so I'm probably spoiled :P The fact the river is nearby and you can hear it is truly peaceful and the view great!! So peaceful! The pictures really don't do it justice! The town of Jefferson is about 15-20 mins away, as well as Ingles & Walmart. I would recommend visiting Ashe County Cheese Factory ... some delicious treats there!! We would definitely visit again!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at A New Outlook! This spacious, family and pet friendly cabin has so much to offer. Beautiful and spacious inside but oh the wrap around covered, gated deck is such an awesome amenity also! The river sights and sounds across the road offers peace and tranquility. The indoors, plus outdoors, including fire pit, plus a great location just minutes from town but no other homes right on top of you, offers a great option for families! A New Outlook

The bathroom off the loft bedroom upstairs was not cleaned very well. Hair and dirt were on the back of the toilet. The sink was not connected to the countertop in that bathroom. The sink looked like it levitated about a quarter inch above the counter. Maybe the PVC pipe was holding it up. The beds were uncomfortable. We had two married couples, a senior citizen, and five kids(9-16). Everyone mentioned how uncomfortable the beds were. Downstairs and upstairs tvs were dated. I haven’t seen a 13” tv combo in many, many years. Neighbor’s dog kept coming to our yard to do its business. Location was nice. Definitely wasn’t expecting the driveway! If you travel to this house in the winter, you will need a really good four-wheel drive vehicle. The public river access is a little over a mile away. It was a good size house for our family. Overall, it was a decent stay.

We will check into beds as this is the first time anyone has mentioned it. As far as the driveway, the owners paved it so it was easier to access for guests. Great layout for families! Great location.

Really good layout for several families. Enough bathrooms and beds. Pretty wrap around porch and a little view of the river. Close to downtown West Jefferson. The only thing it needs is a new grill. The grill was badly deteriorated and we weren't able to use it for a dinner as planned.

The location to be far enough out to have peace and quite but close and convenient to all the shopping, dining, and sightseeing is ideal.The grill was replaced immediately after your stay and I am sorry we could not get it there prior to your stay. Beautiful location

We had a great time. We we're so looking forward to cooking out on the grill, but so disappointed we had to pay to replace propane tank. For a long weekend stay, not really feasible. The house could have been cleaner. Bugs in the basement bathroom, lots of dirt under furniture. Kitchen sink faucet very annoying.

We always are happy to reimburse for grill propane exchanges as they are not gauged and hard to know when they are low. Always contact us with any questions as we are glad to help! amazing stay. Even had someone come out and jump our truck off because the battery was dead. Wonderful place to stay and wonderful people at 4 seasons
