Luxurious Log Cabin on a River
This charming 1940's log cabin has been completely updated with high-end amenities, creating the perfect balance of rustic luxury. Located on 5 acres adjacent to Carson National Forest, the cabin backs up to a beautiful mountain wall and river running right off the back deck (dries up in Oct-Jan). Just 10 minutes to the plaza, you’ll be close enough to enjoy the action of town, but far enough way to escape people and immerse yourself in nature. Lots of great hiking trails just minutes away!
The space
Cook a gourmet meal in the state-of-the-art kitchen with Miele appliances, or grill out on the deck using the gas grill. Relax in the hammock under the trees or on the outdoor sofa on the back deck. Work from the desk overlooking the river, using the high-speed internet. At night, sit around the fire pit and roast marsh mellows, soak in the hot tub under the stars or curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book or movie on the big screen TV.
Other things to note
Four wheel drive vehicles during January, February and March may make mobility better. Roads are cleared but a minimum of front wheel drive is recommended. This is a log cabin in the Carson Forrest and 10 minutes from down town. It’s a very unique property that requires patience and the love of nature and the outdoors.

We are a psychologist and executive coach husband and wife duo, with a passion for travel, real estate, and design. We love finding special properties in locations we would like to live part-time, then renovate and transform those properties into spectacular homes. The property is bordered by a beautiful mountain wall and river running right off the back deck. Elk come down to drink from the river almost every night! The stars from the hot tub at night are incredible. The cabin is so cozy, and yet updated with high end design and amenities making it the perfect balance of rustic luxury.
