The Castaway | Water Views + Private Pier!

Set off for an adventure and comfort at The Castaway, located in Rockport, Texas. Discover three bedrooms and two bathrooms in the main house and an additional full-size bedroom and bathroom and additional kitchen in the attached suite, called the Casita. The Casita is located to the right of the back porch down a little breezeway close to the grill area.

Find endless fishing from the private 318' lighted T-Head fishing pier. Relax under the covered outdoor lounge area and enjoy a freshly grilled seafood dinner with stunning bay front views. The lounge area features both ceiling fans to keep cool and lights so you can enjoy the outdoors at any time.

Inside The Castaway, find an upgraded home with a large open floor plan and charming coastal comforts. Unwind with your favorite streaming show on the Smart TV in the living room, or head to the kitchen for a snack. The fully equipped kitchen is set with ample granite counter space and top of the line stainless steel appliances. When it's time to rest, retreat to the comfortable bedrooms, each thoughtfully furnished with plush beds, soft linens, and Smart Tvs in every room. For additional sleeping arrangements a sofa sleeper can be found in the living room. As an added convenience, the home features a washer and dryer to freshen any clothes during your stay.

You'll be minutes from downtown Rockport's premier shopping, delicious restaurants and walkable activities. Pack up the sunscreen and beach gear, grab the family and head over to Rockport Beach and the Saltwater Pool Pavilions to splash in the water and picnic in the sunshine.

Wonderful house. Clean kitchen. The one issue was yard needed mowing for the corn hole. Tall grass made playing corn hole difficult.

Super nice place and Miss Kitty is excellent. The only problem at all was the condition of the couches. They are worn out and need replaced.

Nice views, and relaxing. Clean inside and out...only negative was trash bins outside were full, i guess from previous guests. Had to take some of my trash home with me. Very nice pier.. caught a lot of little fish....Maybe back again, hopefully fishing is better next time..Thanks Kitty...Enjoyed our stay!!

Kitchen setup was amazing. They had a lot utensils, pots, pans, cups, and plates. Unfortunately the AC stopped working on the one full day we were there. Property manager was able to provide window units until they could get someone out to fix the AC. However that was after we checked out.

The House is clean and pretty! Great views of the bay with a lovely covered porch. We really enjoyed our stay at the home. I love that it's one story... no stairs inside or out. The home felt very new inside... We all recommend this home

Fishing getaway

The goal was to getaway with family and do what we love, fish. And that we did! The house was comfortable and plenty of room for everyone and the private fishing pier was always busy! Everyone truly enjoyed themselves and we look forward to staying again.

Nice property

This was a very nice property well organized and so was the casita that is attached. The ac unit froze our second night there and maintenence was quick to address. Lots of mosquitoes and inside lots of dead bugs and cobwebs.

Great stay

Everything was great. Only issue but not an issue was we didnt know about the casita until the last day. We wemt to check it out and it wasnt cleaned . We have the photos if you like to see it . But overall its a beautiful property and we would definitely stay again.

Great house and location

This is a very nice house. Stayed two nights. When we arrived house was spotless, except the bedroom only accessable from out back. Had not been cleaned, dehumidifier full of water and floors were wet. Dirty bed sheets and used towels on floor. We cleaned everything up and washed sheets and towels. Need to talk to whoever is cleaning your house that they missed the last bedroom/casita.

Check in and Coffee pot

While we vacation was very good, the check in process lack information like, the combination code plus the check button plus the combination to the casita. Also, we reported on the first day that the coffee maker was broken which caused several huge messes in the kitchen that took time to clean up, it was not replaced during our stay which was a big miss. We had taken our own premium coffee and were not able to enjoy it.

The best feature of this stay was the private, lighted pier just steps from the back of the house—perfect for evening fishing or relaxing by the water. The view was absolutely beautiful, especially during sunrise and sunset.The house was well-stocked with plenty of towels and pillows, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking and dining in. However, there were a few issues worth noting. The floors appeared quite dirty, as if they hadn’t been mopped in some time. The main house AC was set to 77F, which felt warm upon arrival; setting it to at least 72F would be more comfortable for incoming guests. The hallway bathroom could use a privacy film, as it’s clearly visible from the neighbor’s balcony. The AC unit in the attached back room was leaking—we had to use bath towels to soak up the puddle, which raised concerns about potential water damage. Also, only one roll of toilet paper was provided per bathroom, which wasn’t enough for the stay.And don’t forget to bring your lawn mosquito spray. We couldnt enjoy hanging outside due to Texas size mosquitos Despite these minor issues, we still enjoyed our stay and I’d give it a solid 4.5 out of 5.
