Amazing location! Comfortable place, with shared patio. The lack of A/C could be a deal breaker for some depending on the time of year, but with the breeze, windows, and fans it was pleasant for us this trip. The other condo right next to ours was rented the first couple of nights and they definitely made themselves at home and spread out on the patio with all of their beach stuff and towels and doors left open most of the day and everything so it didn’t feel super private, however they were respectful about noise and we got along fine. Just keep that in mind for booking. Beach gear rentals were an amazing perk! Would stay again.

Beautiful place literally a minute walk from Mission Beach.The shower water pressure could knock you off of your feet! Amazing!! Now to figure out how to get that feature on our home!

This place is fantastic for the price! The location is amazing, the space was perfect for our family of 6, and the free rentals added so much value. We rented bikes, surf boards, bikes, roller blades all for free, it was so great to have that!We rented a car only 2 days because the location is so great (and free bikes!). Parking is tough on weekends and evenings, but weekdays there are plenty of spots. We went during a heat wave and it was hot- so hot my daughter chose to sleep on the floor instead of the bunk bed. Even with the windows and door open and all the fans going, the airflow is just really bad here. During normal weather, it probably would have been fine, but something to consider.

Located steps from the beach! The area is very walkable. The home was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. There were beach toys and towels. The parking wasn’t so convenient, but we would definitely stay here again!

Can’t beat the location. Tons of great places to go eat (Rosemarie’s next door has amazing sandwiches) Great night life by the pier @ only a 15 minute walk from the house! Highly recommend staying here for a getaway with friends and loved ones.

We have stayed in a number of rentals on the beach and this was definitely a top favorite! It was spacious, great location, clean and comfortable. Looking forward to renting again!

Great spot!

So close to everything. Very clean. Bunk beads were great for our family. Kitchen had all we needed. Nice patio but you would share with a neighbor if both units are booked.

Perfect weekend getaway

It was the perfect location for our girls trip. It was easy to walk to a large number of restaurants, activities, and the beach is right there. The rooms were clean and modern, and check out didn't require any additional cleaning on our part, which we greatly appreciated. The only downside to our whole fabulous stay was there were no washer or dryer. Not a huge deal for a weekend stay, but if we were there longer it would have been nice to be able to wash a few things.

Great beach getaway spot

A great stay! Wonderful location. Just steps to the beach. Safe and clean area close to everything. Brought my two teen daughters and they each brought a friend. The bunk room was perfect for them. Only thing to look out for, which has nothing to do with the property itself - if you have a rental car, parking in the area can be quite difficult. Very limited and watch out for the street sweeping schedule signs.

Month long stay at Beachy Keen 2

Great location! Could have used a few kitchen items. We purchased a strainer, and forks, as there were only four. Beds were all very comfortable, and had nice bedding. Could have been a bit cleaner. The floors left our feet black. We had to purchase a mop head and sweep and mop the floors. Had to wait an hour after check inutile to enter the unit. The good far out weighed the bad and we would stay at this rental again.

This is the 3rd time we have rented this property, first time with this management company. Customer service was not horrible by any means but could use improvement. We like the location, love the unit and the fact that it's upstairs, and that is why we give it a 5 star, however this time the business below made it obvious they do not like renters and was outright rude. That was disappointing. This unit could use a new coffee maker & a full length mirror.

ideal location

The location was literally steps from both the beach and the bay. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was well-stocked. Easy walking distance to grocery stores, drug stores, etc.The rental team was great when we needed new towels due to our family getting the Norovirus while there. We did have to purchase our own toilet paper as the rental comes with a finite amount (definitely adequate if a family wasn't sick). We saw our neighbor only once and never heard him. We would have liked the added security of a deadbolt on the door to our place as it only locked with a code. The code was the same as the gate, so we were concerned that the neighbor may be able to access our apartment as well (never confirmed with the company, so this may have been a needless worry). Overall, it made an excellent home base for our trip to San Diego.

Best location!

Pros: It is steps away from the ocean or Mission Bay. There are so many restaurants and shops on Mission Boulevard. A grocery store is a 15-minute walk away. Better Buzz offers good coffee (5 minutes away). It is 15 to 20 minutes by car to many attractions (Sea World, downtown, Zoo, Balboa Park, etc.). It's a cozy little apartment. The deco is even better in person. Everything you need to cook for four adults and kids dishes are available.Cons: It's a business, and they seem busy. We had only two dishcloths for a whole week. We asked for more, and they responded that they "provide two onsite." We washed them ourselves while doing laundry (a laundromat is available across the street). We ran out of toilet paper and paper towels. We didn't bother to contact them since every time we did, we felt annoying to them.

Amazing location

This location is top notch, so close to the beach that has all the things you would need for a beach vacation. Stores, restaurants, and ice cream all within walking distance. There's a laundromat across the street if you need and the property had a lot of awesome beach amenities like chairs and boogie boards that our kids loved playing with. The sunset walks are awesome with the boardwalk! Overall a great locations! The property was exactly as listed, the only things to consider is parking and temperatures. It was a little humid and summer temps when we were there and outside there was a great breeze, but inside the breeze just seemed to die. We kept all windows open and all fans running the entire time but it was still pretty warm in the house. On top of that the loud street noise on the side next to the bedrooms had us using our headphones at night to drown it out in order to sleep and still keep the windows open for air. Still no regrets staying there, but just something to consider if you are warm blooded. As for parking, it was a real challenge to find street parking, highly recommend you do not bring a car!

Cute & Close To The Beach

I really liked the property. They have a nice set up inside and on the patio. They have chairs and some beach toys which was nice. I liked that the second bedroom had 2 bunkbeds which was great for the kids. I wish that they would leave a broom/dust pan for guests to use since it is right on the beach. It would've been nice to be able to sweep as needed expecially having kiddos. They also only had two rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for a week. So, we had to go buy our own during our stay, but thats okay. There is no air-conditioning at this house. They did have fans to use, but one was broken, and a couple didn't work very well. It wasn't as huge deal since the weather wasn't crazy hot, but that could be an issue during summer. Our biggest issue here was parking. I know they said there was no parking, but they mentioned close parking on the street. However, beware this is not the case. This area is so packed. All on street parking is 15 min to 2 hour parking, and finding any available is ridiculous to say the least. There is a paid parking lot a little ways down from there, but for 10 hours of parking you are looking at $130 bucks. Overall, the kids loved being close to the beach, and we havr a great time.

My son lives in San Diego and I’ve stayed in many AirBnb/Vrbo rentals there over the last 10 years, specifically in Pacific Beach which is where I like to be when I’m there. This place is an excellent value for the money. Great location, spotless, comfortable beds, and the living space was very comfortable. It was even more spacious than the photos showed, which never happens! The kitchen was newly upgraded/refreshed, with nice countertops and beautiful tile, well stocked with utensils/cookware and anything you’d reasonably need (good knives, etc…). Interior was fresh and clean with plenty of light/windows. The location is fantastic- just steps from the boardwalk on the beach side, and a 2 minute walk to the bay. The only drawback was that the bedroom windows are facing mission blvd so if you want to sleep with the windows open it can get a little loud at times. Like many places in San Diego this place did not have a/c but that fact was clearly noted in the listing and there were plenty of fans provided. The price point reflected those issues but was still extremely reasonable for the value of this unit. I also felt very safe with the outer security gate providing an extra layer of security. I stayed alone this time and didn’t use the second bedroom but made dinner for my son and 2 others, watched football and we were all so comfortable there. I would definitely book this unit again.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo! The location was excellent—just a short walk to the beach, great restaurants, and a grocery store, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The included beach rentals were a fantastic bonus and added a lot of value to our stay.The only things we would have changed were having an in-unit washer and dryer and a little less street noise at night. Neither was a dealbreaker, though, and we still had a great experience.Overall, this was an excellent find. The management company was very responsive and communicative both before and during our stay, which made everything seamless. We would definitely recommend this property and would be happy to stay here again!
