Cinnamon Shore in October

Great time to be on Mustang Island. Not so crowded, water warm but not the air temp. Second year there for our family vacation and really enjoyed it.

The house was great for our dogs and baby, and it was equipped with everything we needed. Staff were helpful and professional. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to make memories

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second year to come to Cinnamon Shore. We brought our extended family this time and rented a bigger home. The house was amazing and perfect for us. Definitely would be the house we would want in the future. I do have two concerns was that on the first day, two of the beds were wet and smelled of bleach so we had to wash the sheets and air dry the mattress. Second concern, was the water pressure was low in one of the bedrooms. I mean it was like a trickle in the shower. I had called it in along with bed sheet problem. The next morning, another bedroom lost water pressure as well. We were there for 5 nights and finally on the last day that afternoon it was fixed. I know the property is big and staff may be limited, but makes it quite hard to shower and get sand off you with 10 people in the house.

We are truly sorry about the wet beds and the water pressure issues having multiple showers reduced to a trickle with 10 people trying to rinse off after the beach for nearly the entire stay is incredibly frustrating, and waiting until the last afternoon for a fix is simply not acceptable. We completely understand how much that impacted your daily comfort and we sincerely apologize. We will be addressing both the housekeeping process and our maintenance response times directly to ensure these issues are never left unresolved for days again. We hope to welcome your whole family back for the seamless stay this beautiful home deserves!

Amazing Christmas at Cinnamon Shore

It was an ideal layout for our family (6 adults and 5 "kids") and we had plenty of space. The two large back decks were perfect! We love Cinnamon Shore and this house is a great pick for a large family. Enough space to share but also privacy for everyone!

Mornings were especially wonderful for our children with all the fish, turtles and ducks swimming by. We were able to bring our two small dogs as well, which made our trip even better. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed the house and the stay at Cinnamon Shores. Everyone was very friendly -- guests, staff, people in Port A generally. The house was comfortable and worked out great for us. A couple of small issues (patio door lock and inoperative microwave) were repaired quickly and cheerfully. Access to the beach was easy and pleasant, and the kids and dogs had a blast. Only area to improve: the floors were a bit dirty on arrival, and a couple of minor details were missed like the clocks being set to the current time and random home repair materials being left in the closets.

The house was very clean and super nice and had plenty of room for everyone and the views of the lake from our balcony was very relaxing and pretty. The pool was a great relaxing time with family and service was on point. I highly recommend this house and we will be booking it again for next year!

Happy Kat had many kitchen machines and was very well equipped. Happy Kat was roomy enough for 5 adults and 3 children under 11. And you know the PAC Man. Die machine was a hit! Bring your own beach toys as there were none, unlike other homes we have stayed at. It was clean and roomy and very well supplied. Plenty of baby gates, high chairs (at least 2) were available, too! There was room and then some for for everyone. Cinnamon Shore does a great job on making your time on their property to be special! The Mother’s Day brunch was superb! Something for everyone! Well done Cinnamon Shore!

Not As Expected - Disappointed

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Cinnamon Shores since the second year it opened. Rarely have we had a home or condo that has not met expectations. Unfortunately this was the one. When we arrived we discovered that the listing was not accurate. It was listed as a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom but it was actually a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath. This would not be a big deal if one of the bathrooms was a shared bath but all full bathrooms are en-suite. This means that you have to go into one of your travel companion’s rooms to take a shower, etc. We were a group of adults in this home, it was a bit awkward to have to go into a couple’s room to ask if it’s okay to come in and take a shower. Cinnamon Shore knows better than to list a home with 4 bathrooms when it only has 3.5, when I brought it to their attention they saw the incorrect listing and did not nothing to make this right. We specifically looked for a 4 bathroom home and Cinnamon Shore did not care. In addition one of the windows in the living areas was scratched and the door out to the upstairs deck is worn and does not stay closed. On the positive side, the kitchen is well stocked and the location on Lake Colby is nice.

The big bedroom downstairs appears to have some outlets not working. Also the dish washer seemed to work but it didn't have any heat and it isn't securely attached to the space like it should. It could be a mess if people don't treat it with care.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Kit Kat Cottage and expected a clean, well-kept property for the price. There were live roaches seen in the kitchen upon our arrival, back door didn't lock, room light bulbs out, ice maker didn't work, and a toilet seat that was about to fall off. I would think that all of these issues could have been addressed before we arrived. Although, they were eventually addressed, was disappointed that the staff did NOT make sure that our cottage was totally ready for us, especially since check in was at 4 pm and no one had stayed there the night before!
