Dejlige guest house på rolig og maleriske Stage Harbor! Lige på byen vej med 30 sekunders gang til vandet og brug af privat strand. Lyse, solrig og stort stort værelse med glasskydedøre ud til sydvendt træterrasse. Udsigt over Stage Harbor fra store rum og balkon. Rustfrit stål applianced køkken udstyret med alt hvad du behøver. Store soveværelser og master badeværelse med 2 person jacuzzi! 1. sal soveværelse har en kingsize-seng. 2. sal soveværelse har en dronning seng og twin. (Bemærk, at vi ikke giver sengetøj.) TV, video og dvd-afspiller i underetagen hulen og små tv i ovenpå soveværelse. Udendørs bruser og gas grill samt en lille Vestvendt veranda til en stille læsning stedet. Kom slappe af i denne stille hjørne af Chatham!
Et perfekt sted for en familieudflugt - den private strand er stille og perfekt til små børn eller bare slappe af og læsning. Chatham er en vidunderlig, smuk by med butikker, gode restauranter og maleriske vandreture. Vi er på den naturskønne cykelrute fra Stage Harbor og om en mile gåtur til centrum, Oyster Pond Beach og Chatham Light.

A real home by the sea (and an easy choice to come back!)This was our fourth year returning to Karen’s house, and we were delighted to fit in a stay again this summer. Unlike too many vacation rentals, Karen’s house feels authentic and personal, in a beautiful setting a short walk from a small beach. The biking, kayaking, beaches, and food are all big highlights for us around Chatham, and Karen’s house is a wonderful home base for each, including a full garage for our bikes and a convenient spot to keep kayaks near the water. Great location!

We try to come to Chatham every summer and this is one of our favorite house locations so far. Convenient to Main St, close to the water, and quiet. The layout of the house is great and we love the deck. Karen is a great host!

AMAZING PLACE!!

The pictures of this house do not do it justice! The house is beautiful, welcoming & full of light. The owners are wonderful people who were extremely responsive & the location can’t be beat! Fantastic place for a family of four or five. I only wish we could have stayed longer!!

Home away from home

Fantastic place to stay! Great location. Many accommodations in the house, and everything is decorated beautifully. The added features, such as the private beach and games and toys, make the house even more excellent. The host is very responsive and helpful. Our whole family loves it.

Even better than description

An awesome house on a great property. The access to the private beach is what I was excited about and it exceeded all expectations. So much so that we barely went to other beaches and it was a quick walk to jump in the water and refresh. Great part of town too. Will try to come back next year!

Another great year!

We stay in this house every summer - it’s been so many summers in a row that I have lost count! It’s the perfect house and perfect location for us. Steps from the water (and a view of it), close to town, and Karen is the best - super friendly and responsive. Already booked again for next year! If you are looking for a comfortable and cozy place with a glimpse of the water and the convenience of being close to town, this is your place!

Relaxing Cape Getaway

The cottage had everything we needed so we just had to think about the important things: long walks on beaches—besides the charming private beach at the cottage—Nauset beach among others is a short drive away; long hours reading in the many cozy nooks and doing jigsaw puzzles—they along with games are in great supply ; leisurely brunches and deciding what to have for dinner—the kitchen was beautifully equipped for fixing delicious meals. Karen’s cottage was so very peaceful and well appointed, it provided the perfect atmosphere for relaxation.

Relaxing, and peaceful stay,

2020 was a very stressful year for the entire world. Our family lives in 3 States and we were waiting for the moment ALL of us would be fully vaccinated to finally meet for the first time in a year! We were in search of the perfect place on the Cape to meet up and spend quality time together! We were very fortunate to discover Karen’s lovely vacation home. It’s charming nautical theme immediately put us in a vacation mood! The private beach was a bonus to sit and stare at the stars. Karen is a wonderful and very responsive host. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Priceless private beach

The house was a great fit for our family of five! The house is cozy and comfortable. The bedrooms are a great size! Our kids loved having the upstairs to themselves! The location is wonderful with easy access to everything in Chatham and beaches and the short walk to the private beach with beautiful views was priceless! The only drawback for us was the outdoor deck which was not desirable! We would have loved to have a place to sit outside to enjoy our morning coffee, have dinner or sit and relax but the deck is overgrown with vines and the furniture is rusty, worn and uninviting. Otherwise, we felt very at home there.

Hi Suzanne - Thank you for your review and feedback - we appreciate it! The flame vine does seem to grow back along the edge of the deck faster each summer after we have trimmed it back in May. :-/ We are replacing the dining set on the deck with a polywood or teak set as the salt air and moisture has made it rust very quickly. We apologize for you not feeling you could enjoy the deck and hope you consider our home again in the future.

Perfect Location and Great for a Family or 2 Couples

This house is in a wonderful location of Chatham, a short walk to the harbor for beautiful morning/afternoon walks. A great neighborhood to run or walk around and you can bike to town or to the beaches, light house, fish pier, bike path, etc. The house is very comfortable - large master bedroom, well appointed kitchen, comfortable living room - all nicely maintained. The owner is responsive and easy to communicate with. The few things to know are: the house is extremely close to the main house on the property, so not much privacy if the other people are around, the basement humidifier runs constantly and can be heard in the master bedroom all night, you need to bring all linens, bath towels, kitchen towels and we needed to buy paper towels and sponges for the kitchen. The Chatham Village Market is very close and a good place to shop. We would actually give it a 4.5, but since we can't, we'll go for the 5 stars since we had such a nice time there!

Thank you for your review an feedback! We have replaced one of the humidifiers (they have to run all the time with the high amount of humidity on the Cape) so they should not be as loud. Feel free to reach out should you like to stay again in the future!

A gem!

We spent a week in this amazing vacation rental. It is a lovely and VERY spacious cottage. It is very comfortable, beautifully decorated, so much attention to detail! It was the perfect place for our family of four. The upstairs bedroom is huge and allows for a very separate living space--perfect for teenagers or a couple. There is a loft feel to the place and the living room is so spacious and bright that you almost want to stay in the house and enjoy the peace and quiet of the very nice neighborhood. It has a lovely balcony where one can enjoy a morning breakfast and the afternoon sunlight. They are not exaggerating when they say the kitchen is fully equipped. It also has a basement with washer and dryer which was very convenient when you are coming from the beach every day. The private beach is very small but very close. I walked with my 4-year old daughter to the beach in the morning. Very easy access. The recommendations of the owners about where to dine and where to go were terrific. We followed all of them, we recommend you do the same. Chatham is a great place to stay -- not only because it is a beautiful town - but also there is a lot to do in the surrounding towns. We rent houses and apartments in all the vacations that we go and we can say this was the best rental we have ever stayed at. We can tell you that it made our vacation at the Cape better than we could have ever had imagined.

Our family has had a summer home in Chatham since my grandfather bought a vacation home here back in the 50's - before Route 6 existed! We built our home in 2006 and love to come relax and get away at the house. A morning or sunset walk on the beach, dinner at The Impudent Oyster, a visit to the Wellfleet Flea Market - all are great activities we enjoy when we are at the house. We can provide lots of recommendations for other things to do and places to explore on the Cape.
