Beliggende på en stille sidegade, der vender mod vest for gode solnedgange. Mørke natteskyer for stjernekigger og skyde stjerner. Der er 39 trin til stranden, der træder ind på den smukke sandy facade. Wow får det bedre end dette!

Main niveau soveværelse har en dronning. Åbent koncept loft ovenpå har 1 Queen og en futon. Der er en sovesofa til overløbssøvn. HDTV, DVD, CD-afspiller. Internetadgang. Fuld køkken med opvaskemaskine. Vaskemaskine og tørretumbler. Mobiltjenesten kan være intermitterende.

Catch faldende stjerner i den mørke nat zipping over horisonten. Strand stole og picnic bord til afslapning, mens du nyder den blide brise. Gas grill og dæk. Udsigt over Manitou Øer og Fox Islands. Nem drev ind i landsbyen Northport. Nyd sommer og efterår landmænd markeder og musik i parken i landsbyen Northport. Masser af sjove steder at spise i byen samt et bryggeri og Tuckers Bowling Alley med levende underholdning. Hovedet lidt længere nord til Leelanau State Park og Grand Traverse Lighthouse. Omkring 45 minutter til Traverse City eller den sovende bjørn Dunes.

We loved bringing our dog with us to this property. The check in process was seamless and the host was very responsive even after hours. The property was a bit outdated but the lake view was spectacular. The property listing was accurate. For the price, this was a good trip.

Great location, warm and comfortable

Stay was great and awesome location. Quiet, comfortable and close enough to downtown Northport.

I've stayed here many times in the past. It was very clean and tidy. Had everything I needed. Peaceful and quiet. I need to cook, so am always happy to stay where the kitchen is fully equipped. The beach is 34 steps down, but when you get there it's always a WOW moment. I love it there.

End of Summer Vacay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Christmas Cove was a beautiful beach, for Stone and rock hunting. All was good while we stayed there. The gas grill needs to be fixed, we did use it and left gas but the gas lines are totally rusted. Other then that our stay at Northern Lights was a wonderful vacation.

The views were stunning, and we were thrilled to witness the northern lights, a comet, and even a halo moon, (which we’ve never seen before)! The lake and fall colors added so much beauty to the experience. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of northern Michigan. We’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

Fun in the Sun

Perfect weather all week made for lots of time spent strolling the beach, making stone flowers in the sand, collecting fossilized rocks, and watching the beautiful sunsets and moonsets (super moon week). Couldn't believe how calm the lake was and how refreshing to get in the water. The cottage was so relaxing and had everything we needed to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Great Location but Exterior Maintenance REALLY Lacking

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful location but exterior maintenance is lacking. Windows and screens are covered in spider webs and landscape debris, grass not cut, and access to beach is treacherous which is not mentioned in description. But home is clean and comfortable.

Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I had a perfectly wonderful week at Northern Lights cottage with our dog Lady. The weather was very summerish for early October and we had the beach all to ourselves on several occassions. Wonderful walks on the beach down to Cat head point, nice quiet afternoons sitting on the dunes overlooking the big beautiful lake and ever changing sky. A great place to recharge, clear the mind, and truly rest in a little piece of paradise.

A great getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our visit and the cottage location. The only negative it needed cleaning, Cobwebs on lamps, spiders in corners of all rooms(been there awhile), Most of the utensils and pans needed to be rewashed (i.e.,oil and food on pans,measuring cups,dishes etc. YUCK. The waste can in the kitchen was so gross-(Food in the bottom of it). Don't get me wrong our stay was great the uniqueness of the cottage was great. Just didn't like that I had to clean before we enjoyed tour stay.

Yes we agree dishes should be clean, corner should be vacuumed, lamps should be wiped down. A more thorough cleaning has been done.

Great Location, Challenging Hike to the Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is older but in beautiful shape. Great view! Well equipped kitchen! Neighbors are close but very quiet. We would have loved if the windows and screens were clean; lots of webs and dead bugs 😕 inside and out. The carpeting is fairly grundgy. Hard surface flooring would be a perfect upgrade. BUT overall such a beautiful comfortable setting. FYI- the hike to the beach is challenging especially when carrying chairs, coolers, kids, dogs, etc. but once you’re there the beach is FABULOUS!

Northern Lights Vacation in May

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is not well suited for people with knee, hip or back issues or small children. We loved the location of the cottage on Christmas Cove Beach, but didn't realize there was a steep stairway from the cottage through the trees to the dunes with 20+ rustic steps with big stones jutting out on the top 3 steps making footing difficult and treacherous for anyone with physical limitations. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable with beautiful views through the kitchen picture window and living room doorwalls and off the deck outside the living room. We were initially inundated with Mayflies both on the property and on the beach, but they dissipated after a few days so they weren't as annoying. The area of Northport is very lovely with lots of flowering cherry and apple trees the last week of May and blooming trillium along the trails in the parks. We had some delicious food in Northport and took many long walks on the beach enjoying the every changing views of the skyscapes and Lake Michigan. We had contacted the rental agency about a shade that was not in the bedroom window and the stairway from the dunes to the beach that was not setup for use but no one from maintenance got in touch with us during the week to fix these issues.
