The beach view was mostly obstructed by sand dunes but it was still a nice view. Very peaceful and relaxing

Everything was very wonderful! It did have a view of the ocean. It was so easy to get there as well. The host was very responsive to all of my needs and took care of a small problem that we had immediately. Everything was clean. The space was perfect for our family dinners and just being together. Everything we needed from the community was very easy to get to as well. I would go back in a heartbeat!

The host is wonderful! Quick response and was very polite! If you are looking for a home with separate places for kids and room for all guests, this is your place. It is a cosy place with a kitchen full of anything you could possibly need to cook. This home was one of the first in the neighborhood so expect wear and tear but not to the point it is uncomfortable. It was clean and beds were comfortable as well as the sofa! We loved it!!

Memorial Day weekend stay

Excellent location just steps from the beach. Awesome that all linens, towels and beach towels were included.

Our stay was great. Close to the beach, lots to do at the house while we waited out Hurricane Erin. House was clean, cool and we all had a great time, all 13 of us. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Great location. Comfortable house perfect for multiple families

My family really enjoyed our stay at the Doghouse, very convenient to everything, but away from all the busyness. Close walk to beach and all amenities you need gor a vomfortable stay

Fishing trip

Plentynof rooms and the proximity of the beach made this a perfect place. And the cherry on top was the Foosball table and the hot tub. Awesome 👍

Relaxing, nice stay.

No problems! The owner communicated in a timely manner when I messaged him. Loved how close it was to the beach! Provided beach towels were an added bonus!

Girl’s trip

The location and house were ideal for our weekend! Access to the beach was super close and easy. The sounds of the ocean had us all sleeping like babes. Very clean and comfy. It was chilly out but the rain stayed away until we were leaving. Look forward to hopefully staying again in the future!!

Wonderful pet friendly house

If you hate leaving your pup at home when taking a family vacation look no further this is the house for you.This is an amazing house with a wonderful view and beach access. Me and my wife have been a few times now and will continue without a doubt.

Family Vacation

This was a very comfortable beach house that fit our family perfectly. It was large enough to fit everyone with enough deck space to enjoy the views and hear the ocean. It was in close proximity to the beach and a Harris Teeter was a short walk or drive away. Just down the road was shopping and restaurants that were very satisfying. I would recommend the “Dog House” for your stay.

The Dog House

Older Home in Section F. Loved the 5 Bedrooms and the Jack n Jill bathrooms. Upstairs bedroom with bath very private. Loved the kids room on the top floor.

Loved it!

We had a group of friends stay for the week and the house was perfect for all of us! We had two dogs come with us and they loved having so much space to play! Definitely would come back! Greg is great!

Great time with family!

Property had just about everything we needed. Kitchen was well equipped but wish there had been a large stock pot to make a low country boil. Had a great time building memories with my family. House was only four houses from beach which made it very easy to take everything we needed to the beach. Hope to make it back there again!

Good place

The proximity and ease of access to the beach is great. The view of the dunes and ocean was magnificent. Sitting on the outer decks was very relaxing. The house is older and has some quirks with some wear and tear but nothing that hampered and dampened our stay. Any questions or problems were immediately answered or attended to. The stay was great. Thank you.

Wonderful location

We had an amazing stay at this location. The house was large enough to accommodate all 10 of us and our dog. We felt right at home. The kitchen was stocked better than any other rental home I have ever been in. The AC worked really well which is a huge plus because normally beach ones have issues. I could not have asked for a better home.

Perfect Family House

This was our second time staying at The Doghouse. We had more than enough room for two families and a dog. It is such a great location, with the beach just steps away, and has everything needed for a relaxing vacation. The house has had some updates since we were last there, which was a nice surprise. The owner, Greg was very responsive when I contacted him about checking in early. I would highly recommend staying at the Doghouse!

Our Go-To Home in the OBX.

For value, convenience, and comfort, it doesn't get much better than The Dog House. We have stayed here several times and will continue to do so. The location and views are incredible. Steps from the beach, right down the road from grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. Large kitchen and dining room, plenty of bedrooms for large families, and a comfortable living area for watching movies or playing games. We will be staying here for Thanksgiving and again next January for a long weekend getaway. Love it and love our time spent there.

Weekend Get Away

Pet friendly home, close to the beach. Comfortable home with all basic essentials provided. Conveniently located to grocery shopping and places to explore (lighthouse and Wright Brothers museum). The beach was peaceful, clean and not crowded. (Mid-May). The house was clean and comfortable with space for everyone.
