Welcome home to a restful retreat for every circumstance.
This elegant yet cozy home is a mere half mile or less from the medical/educational hub of Tyler, Texas, in the beautiful Azalea District of historic Tyler. We invite you to come and relax and pamper yourself. The layout of this beautiful home is open and inviting, with two bedrooms downstairs, each with its own desk for working in privacy and a master suite with a private office upstairs. This charming home has been largely renovated and newly furnished for your enjoyment. It includes refinished hardwood floors, new windows, shades and curtains, new furniture, a new washer and dryer, hot water heater, alarm system, a gated backyard, and a new driveway for two cars. This home also has amenities for entertaining, inside and out. They include a Samsung FRAME TV, that seconds as a work of art, and an electric fireplace that gives off heat. We have the accoutrements for entertaining, both for dinner with friends and an evening in the backyard. A new gazebo with a fan and electric capacity, which houses a fire pit and 6 Adirondack chairs, and an outdoor dining table for six and new barbecue nearby will provide all you need. Fresh, colorful landscaping creates the setting for a memorable experience!

Two things I especially love about our home is the natural light that comes with having vertical windows throughout. The soft linen curtains give our living room a touch of elegance. I also love the amenities in the backyard. The fall and spring especially, even weeks in winter here in Tyler, are perfect for a glass of wine with friends around our fire pit, and the gazebo gives just enough shelter to feel protected from the elements of nature. I love our David Austin rose bushes and the trellis of pink climbers that makes for a grand side entrance to this lovely escape.

This house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The back yard space was inviting and we enjoyed relaxing outside in the evenings with a fire. The location was great and close to everything. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again the next time we are in Tyler.

This home is absolutely beautiful! Came for a trip to the Rose Festival and this was a perfect home for a ladies weekend getaway. We especially enjoyed the evenings around the fire pit on the outdoor patio. I had a question upon check in and the host answered the phone immediately.

A perfect stay!

We were in Tyler for our daughter’s wedding. This home has it all! Quiet neighborhood, just a few blocks to a clean, well stocked grocery store, and responsive property manager and owner. Not to mention, the actual home. This home has everything you need and the decor is tasteful and beautiful. My husband & I also own short term rental properties and prefer homes over hotels. I can wholeheartedly say this is the most comfortable, well appointed property we have ever stayed in! To the owners, Thank You for sharing your wonderful home.

We had a wonderful stay for an extended weekend with friends and family. The house was in a perfect location for us and is decorated so lovely! The gazebo with firepit was a huge bonus, the main reason I booked this particular property, and where we spent most of our time. It rained a lot, but under the gazebo was perfect. The beds were comfortable and rooms very spacious. The only thing I would change about the rooms is to have TVs and some black-out shades for sleeping in (but that is a personal preference). The check-in process was super easy, but know that you cannot drive through the gate, it must remain locked. We had 4 vehicles between our 5 guests so unloading would've been easier coming in the back door and being able to all park in the drive instead of the street. But I'm sure the owners have a good reason for keeping the gate locked. It was my birthday weekend and the owners left me a thoughtful birthday card and were extremely helpful and responsive when I needed them. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. All of our guests enjoyed their stay.

Business Trip

We were there to do training. House was very clean. We had everything we needed. There was only one TV which was a surprise, but for me, frankly I appreciated the peace. It was a stressful work week and it was nice to come back to this peaceful little home, cook dinner and sadly do more work. But in such a nice environment it made it as enjoyable as it could be. The bed I slept in in the downstairs back bedroom could not have been more comfortable. I even purchased the same pillow topper for my own bed at home. :)The hosts were so flexible with our stay as our trip got very complicated and so they made a very stressful time so much less stressful. Very, very grateful for their kindness.

We are Hector and Chrissie Moreno, the owners of this recently refurbished "restful retreat."

We have been happily married for 39 years, with 5 grown children, 7 grandkids, a large extended family, and a wonderful church family. It was a love of tennis which initially drew us into a friendship, and we still enjoy exercising outdoors. My husband is the senior pastor at our church, and you can guess that we are both very active in a variety of ways with our church and community; but we also love to find a little down time to read a good book out loud to each other over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Life has been a great adventure so far!

This is our first experience renting a fully-furnished property as a short-term rental. We are hoping to stay ahead of the learning curve, and we are excited for the journey! Originally, we traveled to Tyler from the West Coast to re-connect with some of our extended family, and we fell in love with this city and the people here, so we decided to invest in this home to keep us coming back! Our goal is to provide our tenants with a wonderfully memorable experience and to help you work well and rest well! We believe that life is all about relationships. Our family of 5 kids has evolved into a family of 18; "Nonnina (little grandma in Italian) and Papa" are no strangers to hospitality! We have decades-worth of hosting people and functions in our home, and we love it! We feel that our new property here in Tyler is more than just a house for rent. We want you to experience the loving-care of "home." We pray you will come away feeling refreshed and inspired.

We fell in love with Historic Tyler, "In the Loop," in the Azalea District, the moment we first drove through the area. (It does help that our property managers also live around the corner!) This neighborhood is lush with history and traditions: Christmas sleigh rides on cobblestone streets, the Texas Rose Parade, and the Azalea Trail, to name a few. It is very family-friendly area, with our wonderful Bergfeld Park just blocks away, and the homes are so unique and significant to the culture and history here. We especially love the "east side" because it is so close to the medical/educational hub of Tyler Texas. All that you may need for your medical, educational, shopping and dining pursuits, is within walking distance from our house. Our particular street is well-kept with quaint cottage-style homes. Even better are our neighbors, several of whom we now call friends, since purchasing and renovating this wonderful home. This is a carefully-nurtured, close-knit street of residents who also love their town. We hope you will enjoy our neighborhood as much as we do! Two hospitals are around the corner off of Beckham Ave, as well as so many specialty clinics and a rehab/workout center, which is part of UT Tyler. In addition, Tyler Junior College and UT Tyler are very close by.

This property stands out because it is both historic and newly renovated, and newly furnished. It is just beautiful, inside and out, while not being overdone. We have received so many compliments about the decor, thanks to our property managers/decorators, Tami and Elizabeth. Inside, the home has an open flow and is well-lit, from its many windows; it has several amenities for entertaining, such as an electric fireplace and Smart TV. The backyard is equally fabulous, with new landscaping, a new gazebo with a fan and electricity access that shelters a fire pit with 6 Adirondack chairs round about, and a separate outdoor dining table for six with a new grill nearby. Our retreat is also as secure as it is beautiful; it includes an alarm system throughout and ring cameras around the property, as well as a new driveway, gated and lock-able, to the backyard and the back door of the home.

We also threw in some finishing touches, such as Master Bedroom robes, a Keurig and Nespresso Bar, and an ice cream maker.....
just for the fun of it.

The upstairs Master suite is unique, as it is a renovated and spacious attic getaway with ample comfort and not-a-little charm! It includes the bedroom with a king bed, a full bathroom, a private office, and a walk-in closet. No door compartmentalizes any of this space, but it is the exclusive realm at the top of the stairs. We think you will find it a retreat within a retreat!

As the framed artwork in the entryway closet expresses, there is a reason "in every circumstance" to be thankful; we hope this home will serve you well, such that you will come away thankful for your stay in our home-away-from-home.
