Extraordinary lake front home minutes from Glacier Park’s east entrances at St. Mary and Many Glaciers. View wildlife (fox, eagles, deer, bears, swans, ducks, geese) and take in spectacular sunrises and sunsets from the expansive deck. The large common area’s oversize windows offer lake and mountain views while the bedrooms look into pine and aspen forest. We spent 5 years on bnb air 4 years as super host 4.86 🌟 average check our reviews etc.on that site under same name. We are also licensed and insured outfitter’s and offer fishing, jeep tours, bird watching, ecotours. We also rent E⚡️bikes and my wife owns and operates Glacier Drip Espresso by many glacier road.

Great house to stay in. Very close to both Many and St Mary's. We have stayed here 2 summers and it has been great. Host was always available for issues questions or recommendations.

We had a Fantastic stay at the Red Fox Retreat. This home is cozy, yet spacious in a quiet location. After long days hiking in Glacier NP we looked forward to our respite at RFR

It rained the entire time of our stay. So we didn’t get to enjoy the view or the lake much. But the home was cozy.

Great private location close to Many Glacier and St. Mary's entrances into Glacier NP. The home has everything you need with the added bonus of a great view of Duck Lake/mountains. The sunsets each night were beautiful. Our teenage kids even went for quick swims after long hiking days. The beds were very comfortable! Kitchen had all the necessary items (including spices). We visited Many Glacier Hotel after a hike for a drink (busy, crowded, loud) and were even more grateful for our private, quiet home! Hosts were super helpful and easy to communicate with.

House was nice enough. Clean and decorated nicely. A little rustic but cozy. One thing is TV needs to be in main living one for all to enjoy together. We arrived late at night and house was dark. No easy way to get to down to the lake shore. Ugly foam looking rock ruined views of sunset. Road to property was horrible and having to open gates in pitch black of night was difficult. Host responded quickly with Q&A

Thank you for the feedback. I am glad you found the home clean and cozy! The "foam rock" is actually a custom outbuilding designed to blend into the landscape. We are also working on road improvements and better night lighting for easier arrivals. Thank you for staying!

We really enjoyed our time here! The setting was beautiful, the sunsets were amazing! The house was clean when we arrived and we really appreciated the access to the lake. The kitchen was very well stocked. I'm so glad they provided bear spray! A couple of things to remember: - GPS will not get you there make sure you follow the directions the host gives you.- The roads leading up to the house our gravel. I would recommend having a SUV to traverse the potholes in rough roads.- There is one central free standing a/c unit in the main living room. Being from the South, we're used to central air throughout, but we managed to keep is cool in the evenings running it and opening windows in the rooms. We really had a lovely time here with our family! I wish we had had some kayaks or canoes for the lake!

The house was very convenient to explore the east side of Glacier. It is very quiet and the scenery is beautiful! The house had everything that we needed. The road to the house is a little rough though.

Great place / great host

Awesome location near Glacier NP. Plenty of room for our family of five. Well stocked. Travis was very helpful and super responsive. Bring food and use the outdoor grill. Would stay here again.

Glacier national Park, July 2025 30th anniversary trip

My wife and I come along with two other couples, stayed in this home on duck lake. What a beautiful location! It was really quiet and peaceful. The location is perfect for trips to many glacier and to the east side of the park. Travis was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions I had.

Awesome spot. Remote, and pretty on the lake. Kids loved the prairy dogs. Saw a moose not too far down the highway. Cool place to stay. Love how they've used reclaimed wood inside. Feels so authentic and cool fur Montana. Great hosts/East process.

Lovely vacation rental

My husband, sister and daughter absolutely loved our 3 night stay at this cabin near Glacier. We hiked all day and returned in the evening to make dinner in a well stocked kitchen with spices, condiments and more. The beds were super comfy and the living area was big with room to stretch and roll out muscles to prep for more hiking.

Great house near Many Glacier entrance to Glacier Park

Relatively new and well maintained house overlooking Duck Lake, a few minutes from the access road leading to the Many Glacier entrance of Glacier Park. Ideal for couples or small families. House is fully equipped with all the comforts of home. We had a wonderful stay.

Great stay

Loved this cabin on Duck lake! Had everything we needed. Grateful they had extra paper products and condiments. Nice place and hosts replied quickly to all questions. Hopefully we’ll be back. It’s a windy area, so pack layers.

Ideal base for our GNP Adventures!

What a wonderful place! My sister and I visited with our dad, and the Red Fox Retreat was perfect for our stay. We loved the convenient access to Glacier National Park, where we went on daily hikes, and enjoyed several visits to Two Sisters Cafe just down the street. We also took a quick day trip to Waterton, which was stunning and unique. Returning to the Red Fox Retreat each night was such a warm and cozy experience. We’ll definitely come back if we’re ever in the area again!

Pros and Cons

Our family of 5 picked Red Fox Retreat as our east side home base when visiting GNP. Pros: Travis was very friendly and quick to communicate, the property has great views, and the bedrooms are comfy. Cons: It was the least clean property we have stayed at—very dirty grill, fly tape covered in flies, insect and critter traps everywhere (better than critters but still), kitchen utensils broken or melted, half eaten food in the cupboard and fridge, etc. It’s also located on a stretch of very rocky dirt road, so definitely drive with care. Overall, this is a fine spot for easy access to GNP and Waterton, but adjust your expectations accordingly.

Do you have evidence of any of your allegations? Half eaten food in fridge and cupboard? I inspect and clean my own properties personally I’m calling BS! Contradicted yourself complaining about the ant hotels and fly strips the flies have been bad this season possibly worst I have seen there are no ants in the house now are there? I am quick to respond to any communication from my guests why didn’t you bring any of this to my attention I would’ve made it right instead of an ambush in the review. Oh well! Not everyone can be pleased especially Karen’s. Cheer’s

Beautiful house that was great for my family! The house was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked, living spaces were spacious, and deck was beautiful with nice grill & views. Once we found the house, we were really happy and comfortable there. Host was very responsive, even willing to promptly cancel a night when our trip plans changed and allowed an early check-in. Thank you!Finding the house was the tough part. We were on a long trip to Montana and didn't have the cell service to load all the specific directions. I thought the GPS address and lockbox code would be sufficient to get us there, and then we could connect to the Wifi and load anything else we needed. Future guests, learn from our mistake - the GPS does not take you to the house - it's in fact quite a bit farther down the road through a green gate. We drove back to St Mary to find Wifi, message the host, and load all instructions. Once we had the instructions, we were able to find it without a problem. But unfortunately the extended time searching down the very rough, bumpy road in our small car created a lot of worry and delay. I would recommend making sure all guests know not to follow the GPS and to load/screenshot the specific directions before heading out there.

This was one of a very few two bedroom rentals left when we booked it. There were 2 positive things about this place. It had great Starlink wifi and the beds were comfortable. The rest of the house is in need of a lot of updating, maintenance and stocking of necessary items. There is one bathroom with NO LOCK on the door!! Not all bedroom windows had covering. We were supplied with ONE dish towel and there is no dishwasher OR washer/dryer to launder this one towel. We knew there was no dishwasher but ONE TOWEL?We had to use extra bath towels to dry dishes. The manual left with the house said there would be a dish cloth supplied but there was not. We had a grungy sponge. The kitchen supplies were abysmal. See the pictures below for the amount of dishes we had. Every day when we would return from hiking, there were at least 20 flies all over the house. We could not figure out where they were getting in. All windows were closed and locked yet we were faced with killing flies for half an hour before we could make dinner and relax. Some of the decor and furniture were terrible. There's this huge great room with decent leather furniture we all could sit in but the only tv was in this small room with a smelly couch. The road to get to this place is gravel and full of potholes. It's like off-roading each time you leave. Only stay here if there are no other options in the East Glacier area.

Aren’t you fun at parties? First of all it’s a 3 bedroom house, The couch doesn’t smell, what does it even mean there’s an over abundance of plates? It doesn’t mean you have to dirty them all before washing why didn’t you leave them to dry in the dish rack? What kitchen supplies were missing? You said there were 20 flies everyday yet you have a picture of 3. I can’t believe you let 1 dish towel ruin your vacation sad really. I don’t want people staying at my place if you’re going to be this hard to please or leave a review like this.

House was clean, entrance to the location required offline directions but dropping a pin helped once we got there for return trips. Views and proximity to glacier national Park were nice.The kitchen could use a few more utensils for cooking like silicon spatulas.The main issue was that it advertised A/C but it was only a standing one in the dining room that struggled to cool that just that one room in the afternoon. Open windows helped once it cooled off.

My wife and I are both Members of the Blackfeet Tribe. We have been in the tourism business for over 26 years. I started guiding fisherman and doing tour guiding in 1999 we came outfitter’s for the Blackfeet tribe in 2004. If you want to do an adventure outside the park or even in the park let us know! My wife started Glacier Drip Espresso in 2021 it is near Many Glacier Rd. Has been a popular spot to get an espresso and a breakfast burrito. We started short term rentals in 2018 and have been Superhost and premier hosts ever since. We have 2 daughters who are currently serving in the United States Marine Corps.

The area around duck lake is very unique it is quiet and peaceful a great place to unwind after a long day hiking in Glacier park. Sunsets and sunrises are a sight to see also. The sunrising over the lake and the sunsetting behind Chief Mountain from the deck is spectacular.
