Thank you for your feedback. Prior to your stay, we discussed your sensitivity to fragrances and cleaning products. To accommodate your request, we did not make the beds because you planned to bring your own bedding, and our cleaner was instructed to wipe surfaces with water only rather than use standard cleaning products. Additionally, the cabin had been winterized and vacant since October, and your reservation was the first stay of the season. No laundry had been done and no routine cleaning products had been used in the cabin during that period, which makes the reported odors difficult for us to verify. We take guest concerns seriously and initially considered refunding the cleaning fee as a gesture of goodwill. However, after checkout, we found that the cabin had been fully used during the stay, including use of the shower and towels, and the property required substantial cleaning afterward. For that reason, we did not feel a refund was warranted. We respect that sensitivities can vary from person to person, but we believe we made a reasonable effort to accommodate the requests communicated to us before arrival. We remain committed to providing a clean and comfortable experience for all guests.
