There is a public bus stop at the entrance of the Montelaguna property for those who do not wish to use a car or walk. The Montelaguna Residences is the perfect place to escape the crowds while allowing easy access to shopping, nightlife, and tours. The private property is shared with the Montelaguna Boutique Hotel, which has its own pool and bar and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Condo Marimba is a top floor, two-bedroom apartment with an accessible elevator and features: air conditioning, ceiling fans, two bathrooms, satellite TV, WiFi internet, dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen with coffee maker, dining and living room areas, and an oversized balcony with pristine natural views. The main bedroom has an ensuite (attached) bathroom and a walk-in closet with plenty of storage. The second bedroom has one double bed, one twin bed and its own bathroom. Each bedroom has a large dresser, side tables, a wall mounted television, and expansive views. The laundry area includes a new washer and dryer, a safe for valuables, and additional storage.

Rentals include full use of the property including a dedicated covered parking space, access to a swimming pool, children's play area, common area with rancho, tropical gardens. Our bilingual (Spanish/English) property manager is always available and will meet you at check-in to ensure that you have everything you need including transportation and reservations for dining, tours and private custom experiences. portation and reservations for dining, tours and private custom experiences

Nice, quiet condo outside of town- not what we expected.

This is a nice, clean, quiet condo outside of town. You do have to be on top of it because ants will come if you leave a crumb out. The pool is quite nice and the view is beautiful. The water pressure isn’t great. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working when we arrived. The property manager got it fixed by the next day but it still wasn’t fast enough for my husband to take video calls (we are on an extended trip so he is working on the go). He booked a co working space downtown. We were doing language school and so we had wanted to stay in town. Be sure to look up the exact location of the condo complex on Google instead of relying on the “get directions” button the listing page. It was a 7 minute drive each way to town or about 45- 1 hour if you walk along the beach. You do need to drive to eat out (unless you want to go to next door restaurant). The part of Samara beach that is a 5 minute walk is great and has beautiful sunsets. Carrillo beach is also beautiful. I’m sure the property manager is great but we had a series of miscommunications. I thought she should have send the actual address to us sooner and I think if you press the “get directions” button on your booking page it should show where the property actually is. The only way we could actually find the property is googling the name of the complex. However- the condo was nice, quiet and had great views so if that is what you are looking for definitely stay here. Samara beach is one of my favorite places ever.

Dear Rachael, you never report an issue with ants until last day, is hard to believe and based on my experience how did you stay without reporting it was such a problem ? now as you said food. yeah, this is Costa Rica, we appreciated keeping the place decent. Dont expect food around condo and ants not to show up. About address, you reported 4 times to VRBO, you even request a refund sayin it was wrong, 4 times they told you address was correct. The main reason address is there is so clients can haven as soon as they booked, if you need help using the app I recommend call for help before confirming. Resolution from Vrbo was address is correct and no wrong info. Thanks for saying we fix the internet after one day, that shows we care about our clients. Also please respect house rules, a/c was on and food around when we came to fix it. Keep in mind this is someone house and basic respect is appreciated. Regarding the follow up, you show up 3 days after you booked, saying the best for me was to cancel because you thought our location is closer to you Spanish classes and your husband yelling on the phone was not the best way to start and I dont wish other host to deal with that . This is a place to relax and learn the pura vida.
