Every turnover includes washing all linens, thoroughly cleaning the home, and a personal inspection before each guest arrives. While I sincerely apologize that a hair on the floor was missed during our final inspection, my inspection after your departure did not corroborate many of the other concerns raised. I immediately conducted a barefoot walkthrough of the entire unit, documenting the condition with time-stamped photos and video, which were also provided to VRBO. The white mark on the comforter is a permanent bleach mark, not a stain. While the comforter was clean, I understand how it could be perceived and have since replaced it. The small gap around the air conditioner was caused by insulation that had shifted and has since been corrected. The paper towel beneath the unit was there to absorb occasional condensation and has also been removed. Our listing clearly states that this is a private unit within a duplex, and detailed check-in instructions are provided before arrival. Our smart lock logs also show multiple incorrect code entries before the correct code was entered. As with many residential homes during the summer, an occasional insect may enter when exterior doors are opened, but this is not indicative of an infestation. We appreciate all feedback and remain committed to providing a clean, accurately represented, and comfortable stay for every guest.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m unsure about some of the claims, as the basement is unfinished and not part of the living space—it’s designated for the upstairs tenant. The upstairs unit you mentioned as unoccupied is actually rented, so we’re unsure how that assumption was made. We use a professional pest control company for all our properties, so the spray under the sink is unexpected. Regarding the shower dispenser, we only became aware of the damage after checkout when our cleaners reported it. We reviewed our pre- and post-checkout photos, confirmed the damage, and filed a claim accordingly. We’re always open to addressing concerns during a guest’s stay and would have appreciated the opportunity to do so before these comments were made.
