Welcome to downtown Asheville's only luxury micro-farm and retreat! Exemplifying the true spirit of Asheville, Rose Knoll Urban Oasis is an homage to the adventurer, the dreamer, the artist & the wanderer within us all. (Follow along on Instagram @roseknollurbanoasis)

Our newly remodeled circa-1925 suite offers a private deck & entrance, pick-your-own garden, hot tub, clawfoot tub, indoor fireplace, plush king-size bed, full-size sofa bed, outdoor grill, fire pit, daybed love nest & more — all within walking distance to both downtown & the River Arts District.

Nestled in Asheville’s historic Montford neighborhood, this cozy garden hideaway encompasses the best of both worlds, offering a luxury retreat into nature -- right in the heart of the city.

You’re just a one-mile walk from the center of downtown (Pritchard Park, home of Asheville’s infamous Friday night drum circle!) and all of the best breweries and restaurants Asheville has to offer. If you’re in town to enjoy the music or art scene the River Arts District provides, you’re equally centrally located -- the ten-mile riverside pedestrian and bike path begins right at the bottom of the hill.

If you're visiting for a personal retreat or romantic sojourn in the mountains, take advantage of your personal hot tub (privacy screens included to ensure maximum solitude), indoor gas fireplace, clawfoot tub and private deck to relax, renew and recharge.

Tune out and tune in on your porch daybed love nest and -- during the growing season -- sample the tomatoes, peppers, berries and more in the “pick-your-own” garden on this eclectic urban farm.

Incredible host, highly responsive and very helpful with great tips on the local area. Property exactly as described and pictured. It is an oasis with easy access to all the Asheville hotspots. The terrace garden was the cherry on top. Perfect for a couple's getaway. We loved our stay here! Highly recommend and will stay again if the opportunity arises!

Monroe has THE go to place for couples who are wanting to stay in the Asheville area for any type of occasion. It is close to everything that Asheville has to offer and the amenities in her place is amazing! She has this property stocked with anything you would possibly need! We have stayed here a few times before and definitely will again!

My stay at this beautiful home was amazing! The owner could not have been more welcoming, checking in to make sure I had what I needed, provided some local recommendations but most importantly the pictures don’t do it justice with how relaxing and peaceful it was!

What a beautiful property in a lovely neighborhood conveniently located. The hosts Monroe and Taig were wonderful and made sure we were comfortable for our entire stay. We couldn’t be more pleased.

Beautiful home with a wonderful host!

This place is absolutely amazing. My partner and I visited for our anniversary trip and we were blown away by the stunning garden, cozy decor and the friendliness of the host, Monroe. She was amazing and provided great recommendations around town for us to visit, along with checking in and making sure we had everything we needed! I look forward to staying here again!

Beautiful property in a quiet part of the historic Montford neighborhood. This is the second year in a row I have stayed here, and I will most certainly be going back. Perfect walking distance from downtown that includes a moderate hill climb up Courtland avenue to get your heart rate going. Staying at this house is almost like staying at a nursery. The pictures online show you that. It is such a peaceful and stylish location to spend a week in Asheville. The coffee shop “All Day Darling” is a short walk from the house and will no doubt be one of your favorite places to spend the morning. I must also say that the bed in this place is SO comfortable- I slept like a baby every night I was there. Definitely a happy place for me-

This place is an experience offering wonderful outside amenities including a generous sized for 2 and sparkling clean hot tub, a huge garden to pick from and enjoy, a sauna, outdoor shower, and a coming soon cold plunge. Inside is full of Asheville charm with artsy, fun decor, a large comfy (and clean) sectional, fun dinning spot, wonderful king size bed, and excellent attention to detail for having all things necessary in a kitchen to cook a meal. The host is wonderful with quick communication and it is obvious this rental is a labor of love. For anyone traveling to Asheville for performing in shows, attending shows, concerts…all the things Asheville, this is a great spot very close to downtown that you will look forward to reserving on repeat!

Beautiful property and very convenient location. Access to vegetable garden and fire pit made my stay feel like home. I stayed alone but this property would be great for couples. The space is private and enjoys a beautiful view from the deck. The owner is very passionate about growing vegetables, herbs, tropical plants and flowers which adds a terrific natural beauty to the property. I would certainly stay here again.

Cute and comfortable

This property was a perfect spot for our girls' weekend in Asheville. Close to everything we wanted to do and comfortable for hanging out. It was super clean and felt very spacious...the bathtub is fabulous! It felt very private and the outside space is perfect!

Weekend Getaway to Asheville

My wife and I love coming to Asheville a few times a year as we live in Tennessee and we like staying in different VRBO’s each time we go. This location is by far the best VRBO that we have stayed in over the years. The cleanliness, the amenities, the comfort, the style of the interior is top notch and can’t be overstated. The owner’s communication is timely and concise. We would definitely stay here again! Also, this is our first visit since the Hurricane and although this area was affected by the damage, Asheville is rebuilding and don’t let that keep you from visiting the great restaurants, shops and breweries this town has to offer!

This is a special place, and Monroe has worked very hard to make it that way with many extra touches. The garden is lovely (had some kale, lettuce and stawberries), the hot tub great, and the interior of the place comfortable and adorable--books, art, lighting. I loved all the plants. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice too with some nice products to use. It was very well located to places I wanted to go (you can walk to the visitor's center if you're a walker like I am--and take the trolley tour!) I could also walk to Riverside Cemetery, which is huge and hilly and has some famous writers buried there. I also walked down to the River Arts District. I know the owner mentions this in the listing, but the stairs (the first set) are daunting with luggage, so be careful. Not a big deal, but there is a mini-fridge and doesn't have have a freezer, so if you're grocery shopping, don't buy frozen products. I was sad to leave and would def. stay again.

Just a one-mile walk from the center of downtown Asheville in the historic Montford neighborhood, your urban oasis is both in the heart of it all, yet a respite from the hustle and bustle of downtown. (If you visit in spring, summer or fall, you may catch sight of our neighborhood bears!) Walk just up the street in the mornings to grab coffee at All Day Darling, and continue on down Montford Avenue for incredible Caribbean fare at Nine Mile. Stroll down the hill from your private, gated backyard to explore the eclectic River Arts District. Or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy one of Beer City’s best brews on your private deck!

Downtown can be accessed via Montford Avenue — we’re just a twenty-minute walk away! (Longer for slower amblers, and shorter for power walkers.)

In town to explore the amazing art Asheville has to offer? We’re situated just up the hill from the River Arts District, less than one mile away and accessible via the riverside pedestrian and bike path a short walk away from your private, gated backyard.

Free street parking is available throughout our quiet, dead-end family neighborhood.

Uber, Lyft, and AVL Taxi are all readily available as convenient taxi services.
