Eclectic Mountain Home with Views and Amenities

A Winter Wonderland! This property's awesome view of the Continental Divide is matched by its numerous amenities and fun, welcoming atmosphere. Staying in this house, you will enjoy its eclectic mixture of architecture, decor, and furnishings, as well as the awesome natural beauty of the Lookout Mountain area. Hike the many trails and dirt roads in our quiet neighborhood, and then warm up in the indoor spa, or steam shower, or have some s'mores while chatting around the outdoor fire pit. Enjoy the gourmet kitchen, 3 wide-screen TV's, game room with 7' pool table, PS4, and the collection of classic board games. LoDo is only 25 minutes but a world away! Other nearby attractions include Red Rocks Amphitheater (15 minutes), Buffalo Bill's Grave (10 minutes), Boettcher Mansion (10 minutes), Lookout Mountain Nature Center (10 minutes), and Mt Vernon Canyon Club (10 minutes).

This property is located on a dead-end dirt road at over 7500 feet altitude, and weather conditions can be harsh and unpredictable, especially in winter. 4WD or AWD vehicles are highly recommended at all times. We do not offer refunds, discounts or take responsibility for inconvenience due to adverse weather conditions. Road will be plowed for all snowfalls 6" and above. We employ a single outdoor surveillance camera, which has a view of the front walkway and driveway.

This is one of the few properties in Jefferson County actually permitted by the County to operate as a short-term rental. Permit #25-119524

Quiet, spacious mountain setting with that 'far away' peacful feeling yet close enough to Golden and the CO front range urban settings if desired.Excellent host provides comprehensive guidance with an on-line mnual, plus tastefully placed and so helpful QR codes.

Super fun house in the mountains!

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The house is exactly as pictured in the listing. It was clean and wonderfully funky in its layout! We came to Colorado for a concert at Red Rocks, and it was only a 15-min drive to the venue! The mountain views from the house were just beautiful!! Doug was communicative from start to finish, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were there. One thing to keep in mind when booking this house in the middle of the summer is that the main living area does not have air conditioning. In the daytime it was quite warm, but cooled down in the evenings when we had the windows and sliding doors. The bedroom downstairs was always nice and cool, and the window air conditioner in the loft was a godsend! We would absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Golden!! 5 STARS!!!

Great spot for friends, hiking, and Red Rocks

My husband and I stayed at this home with two other couples. We had some rainy weather, but we made the most of it! We did some hiking, did some sightseeing in Denver and Golden, and went to a Red Rocks show. While we were at the house, we played countless games of backgammon, Chinese checkers, billiards, and got the hot tub. We had a steak dinner one night with the outdoor grill and enjoyed beautiful mountain views on the porch! The kitchen was fully stocked for everything we needed. We would highly recommend this mountain home! And the host was very friendly and responsive!

Great Stay in this Lovely Mountain Getaway

We had a lovely stay. The house was clean and well maintained. Great views of the mountains and easy access to Golden and Red Rocks! Doug, the property manager was very responsive and made sure that our stay was exactly what we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Mountain Stay Property

This property was exactly as described. Absolutely gorgeous Mountain Views! Elk and deer in front yard every day! The beds were extremely comfortable and amenities were plenty. Communication with host Doug was top-notch! Only a couple of minor issues which had been resolved in a matter of a couple hours! Property is very close to major highways and easily accessible! Would definitely stay here again!

Great Place Close to A lot

Doug’s place was great for myself and a few buddies to get away to do some hiking and exploring. Close to a ton of different activities. Check in was easy and property was clean. Loved the pool table and hot tub

Fun place for a family vacation

Our family of four stayed here on a short family getaway to visit some friends in the Denver area. We appreciated the clean and tidy house. We look forward to staying here again!

The perfect get away

This place was perfect for my family and I. The house is BEAUTIFUL and just like the photos. We had a really fun time exploring around the house when we first arrived, there is so much to see! A fun little loft, a spiral staircase, pool table, hot tub, the list goes on! The view off the porch is amazing, and there was even a large heat lamp for warmth outside when when it gets chilly at night. My ONLY advise would be to bring an extra towel or 2 if you’re traveling with a large group and plan on using the hot tub. Also, a big thank you to the host for being so communicative and helpful! All in all it was a wonderful stay and we’d be back for sure.

Rocky Mountain High

My immediate family (wife and adult kids/spouses) traveled for a family wedding at the Mt. Vernon Canyon Club. I selected this property based on location, capability to accommodate seven adults and the amenities. Let me be clear – this is a stellar property with an exceptional host. Pre-arrival communication was clear and timely. Upon arriving we found the property exactly as described. The user’s (renter’s) manual is online with QR codes for quick reference. We awoke Saturday morning to a winter storm and had the best day! I’ve always wanted to be up in the mountains, in a home, during a snowstorm. It was “wonder-full”. An acoustic guitar is in the home and we (my two sons and I play) enjoyed the afternoon snow with live music over playing Rocky Mountain High! Note the recommendations for 4WD or AWD are to be taken seriously. We might not have made it to the wedding without it. We were able to take advantage of most of the amenities without any difficulty. The hot tub was particularly nice during the snowstorm. The snow (about 7”) did impede using the deck and firepit – something for next time. Our host Doug connected with me via text and was at the ready to assist us during our stay. Again, this is a stellar property with an exceptional host! I fully recommend this property for consideration.

Quirky and Homey

This was a good value for the space (especially for a bigger group), location and views. We arrived on what the neighbors said was the most snow fall in 20 years! The owner was very responsive and accommodating. The home is dated. The living room and kitchen views are fantastic! Our daughter had fun playing the piano and guitar that was available. Glad we had our Toyota Tundra 4x4 Truck rental to access the property. Wi-Fi was strong. The common spaces were great for gathering and hanging out!

Beautiful spacious and comfy mountain home!

We absolutely al our stay! We were a group of 4 women and we spent the week working and hanging. The office set-ups were fantastic and made it so easy to work super easily. Also, the main floor with the big couch and great kitchen made it so comfortable for us to cook, spend quality time together and play games. The hot tub was great and the views were gorgeous. We would absolutely recommend this place! Thanks for the stay!
